You stop seeing people as one-dimensional characters. Instead of categorizing someone by their profession or background, you discover they're complex humans with unexpected perspectives, humor, and intelligence. And what a beautiful thing it is to see humans as human beings rather than labels! We talked about how podcasting has transformed our views on sexuality and connection and made us less judgmental, and more open, people who are more supportive of others rather than resorting to tearing them down. Talking genuinely with hundreds of diverse people fosters deep growth in empathy and grace. Undoubtedly interviewing people from a wide variety of lived experiences reduces the tendency to judge others. We also chatted about previous guests, some of them mutual, and how they shattered our expectations and bloomed with the beauty of their individual truths. People are amazing, if you let them show you! We also chatted about how sex is ageless (another area to curb your judgements in) and how frustrating and insulting it is that the world has so horrendously neglected women's sexual health and pleasure research, including lying for decades that hormone replacement therapy was harmful to women (spoiler: it's NOT harmful, it's very, very helpful for women to be on HRT, especially around and after menopause. Research it!)
