Lorna is the author of twelve novels, including the best-selling Patty Jane's House of Curl, Oh My Stars, Best to Laugh, Once in a Blue Moon Lodge, and my very favorite, Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons. She has also performed as a standup comedian and actor, and annually does her one woman show, Party in the Rec Room in Minneapolis. She serves margaritas to the audience while doing improv for the whole show. She's a riot and this was fun. Her brand new novel: Chronicles of a Radical Hag (with Recipes): A Novel, is available now at booksellers everywhere.

A charming, funny and sweet book about the effect a loved newspaper columnist has on the people of the small town of Granite Creek. Haze has chronicled her life and the real world life events in her column for 50 years. Haze is now in her 80’s and while in a coma, the town’s newspaper starts re-printing some of her columns with unexpected results and surprises. We fell in love with this book! And there really are a few recipes (which make sense in context). An excellent book club read too….. 4 stars

Lori's return to bowling didn't go so well. Julia liked the new show "Black Monday" . It's on Showtime. Tonight's JFK Jr. special on ABC. A tragic story. Guest is writer and comedian Lorna Landvik.
This is a story of friendship, love and betrayal. And we agree with Lorna Landvik’s assessment of The Witness Tree….”it is a deeply satisfying character-driven novel”. This story is beautifully written and so compelling that you cannot stop turning the page. 5 out of 5 stars.
Welcome to A Healthier View Podcast with Hosts Beth and Chris with Special Guest Lorna Landvik, Author and Comedienne! Topic: A Healthy Laugh with Lorna Landvik Meet Lorna: Who were your early influences as a writer? When I was a girl, I thought Maud Hart Lovelace wrote the ‘Betsy-Tacy’ series for me. Even though the books were set in the early 1900s, I was Betsy, the girl who wanted to be a writer and was able to talk her friends into mischief. I also devoured the Little House on the Prairie books but in a cage match, believed Caddie Woodlawn would whup Laura Ingalls Wilder..
