In honor of my 40th anniversary at WGTD (my first day with the station was May 27, 1986) I have been replaying some noteworthy Morning Show interviews from the past. For this seventh and final day in this special series, I have chosen this interview from 2002 with Richard Blow, former editor of GEORGE magazine and a friend of John F. Kennedy Jr. Blow's book "American Son" is an illuminating portrait of JFK Jr. from someone who knew him well and also worked side by side with him. At one point during the interview, Blow paid me a rather lavish compliment- and that was a powerful moment for me because it gave me a new sense of confidence about doing this challenging work. I've received a few more compliments in the years since, but this one is the sweetest of all because it was the first.

Vintage and secondhand fashion is having an explosive moment, and menswear content creators are particularly in love with high-quality vintage goods from years past when clothes were made to last. Not only do menswear brands have to compete with each other, but they also have to compete with the decades' worth of vintage clothing still on the market. Why buy the latest from Corso Mille when there are mountains of vintage Ralph Lauren available on eBay? On the Glossy Podcast this week, we spoke with Albert Muzquiz, the menswear writer and content creator better known as @edgyalbert, about exactly this phenomenon. Muzquiz said menswear enthusiasts tend to obsess about quality, and while there are brands making good clothes now, they're often the exception rather than the norm. "There are the lowest common denominator brands that are pushing everyone further down," Muzquiz said. "And then there are these American companies controlled by private equity that have no soul or substance. And when you touch good fabric, it's like night and day. You can tell the difference. But this is why the JFK Jr. trend happened. There were eras where basically any clothes from the department store were that good."

We go to James Forrestal, the first prominent critic of Israel, pushed out of a window at Bethesda Naval Hospital, with McCarthy publicly naming it as murder, before McCarthy checked into that same hospital and never came back out. And we go to Dallas. To the document McGeorge Bundy drafted on the day of the assassination, before the president was dead, reversing Kennedy's Vietnam withdrawal order. To the 9:39 PM phone call in the JFK Jr. case, confirmed on unedited Coast Guard footage and then scrubbed from the official record. To the New Orleans network of Dean Andrews and Clay Shaw and David Ferrie, and the ground-level conspiracy that Jim Garrison spent his career and reputation trying to expose.
