Mount Bromo is an active volcano in the Tengger mountains at an elevation of 2,329 meters above sea level in East Java, Indonesia. In spite of the danger of eruptions, it is the most visited tourist destination in East Java because it is a Hindu pilgrimage site.

For most of us listeners, this is a time to dream about journeys to the southern hemisphere. Currently, I’m looking outside and I’m seeing dreamy snow and sun-covered forest that has absolutely zero to do with this month's destination. I’m taking you to Mount Bromo & Mount Ijen on Java in Indonesia. This was one of the coolest adventures I’ve been on and this took place in the earliest of mornings. This area attracts the more adventurous travelers in that region. Coming from the overcrowded Borobodur to this desolate land is quite the change of scenery.
