About Us On HORSE, we don't analyze wins and losses. We talk beefs, dig into Internet drama, and have fun. The NBA is now a 365-day league and it's never been more present in pop culture. From Kevin Durant's burner accounts to LeBron taking his talents anywhere to trusting the Process, the NBA is becoming a pop culture requirement. At the same time, sports can have gatekeepers that make it insular and frustrating for people who aren't die hard fans. We're here to prove that basketball is entertaining to follow for all fans, whether you're actively watching the games or not. Recently featured in The New York Times!

How many times have you seen posts on FB asking you to like, comment and share a picture of a child with darker complexion, or a noticeable difference (missing legs etc)? These seem to be showing up more and more often in my feed. This past week I saw a post decrying the fact that Riley Curry (daughter of NBA 2 time MVP Stephen Curry) "broke the internet" when everyone went gaga over how cute she was. . . yet an arguably equally cute little black girl (Diar Derozan, Demar Derozan's daughter) says "I love my daddy" while sitting on his lap during an interview. . . black America is totally silent. The only people who commented on how cute she is were. . . (wait for it) White. .. Things that make you say hmmmm. Here on the JKN, Delia Smith (our own Lady Cab Driver, The Corrector) tackles the problems that most people are talking about. She brings it to the table for open discussion. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We'll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We'll examine news reports from the past seven days and - hopefully - promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS A black male in Ireland asked, what is the 4th of July to black people whose churches are being burned? This summer's "fireworks" have been confined to black houses of worship, as more than a half dozen churches have been burned; none have been ruled acts of Racism (hate crimes), but several have been deemed acts of arson. The blazes have generated much less attention than the removal of "Dukes of Hazzard" - a television show canceled 30 years ago - and all things resembling the Confederate flag. Whites have decreed Bree Newsome their official "black friend" of the month. Last week, Newsome and her "White ally" removed the Confederate flag from the South Carolina state Capitol. She was quickly shackled and jailed, the flag was immediately replaced, and Riley Curry was no longer Whites' favorite black person. Rhodes College professor Zandria Robinson did not receive the same reverence for her critique of Whitefolks. She, like Shannon Gibney and Marylin Zuniga, was reminded that lesson plans are not to include critiques of Racism/Whites. #AnswersForMiriamCarey INVEST in The COWS - http://tiny.cc/ledjb CALL IN NUMBER: 760.569.7676 CODE 564943# SKYPE: FREECONFERENCECALLHD.7676 CODE 564943# The C.O.W.S. archives: http://tiny.cc/76f6p
