Episode 5-493 – Interview Les is Made Hello my running friends. This week I present the last of the repurposed interview that I did originally for my other show “After the Apocalypse”. This is a friendly talk with Led for his Les is Made podcast – and fittingly he is really interested in talking about running. I had planned to write an article that dove deeper into some of the frequently asked questions. But, I'm out of day today and I figure something is better than nothing. I had another satirical piece on how women running together have an entirely different conversation than men talking to each other – based on my admittedly biased observations. But, alas there is only so much gas in the tank and I have miles to go before I sleep. So – My friends, I'll give you an update on my training – drop the interview and slink off stage left in a embarred shuffle. My training is going great. Within the last 7 days I have completed a nice 12 mile trail run, a 100K bike and capped it off with a 100 mile bike ride with my buddies up to Saco Maine yesterday. Everything went well. We got perfect weather. Nobody crashed. No flat tires. And we made the trip, with breaks in just about 10 hours. My second goal of weight loss is going well also. I poked my nose under the 173 pound flap of the tent this week and with my training load increasing it should continue to trend down. I also finished the last additional chapter for the first novel in my apocalypse series – so getting very close to the end of the editing process and having a finished manuscript to kick out the door like a grown child who has tarried too long. Funny story – I actually brought that final chapter to my new Monday morning writers group for a read this past week as well. I was scared like a little kid having to stand in front of the class. But, they liked it. And gave me some good feedback. All is not lost. I grabbed the race director of the Mamba 100 for an interview and I'll shove that up for the next show. You know me. Why read the race web site when you can just talk to the race director? I was a little worried about running a 100k in the trails in the dark. But he put my mind at ease. The course is in a very gentle trail system right in a park in the center of Memphis. That's the next adventure! So – my friends. This is it for commentary,. I won't be back at the end. Stay in touch. Wish me well. And I will see you out there. Les is MadeBy Les MadewellMy name is Leslie and I am a photographer. I have a few good stories to share and would love to shared them to the world. I try to have models and people I have work with one with me as much as I can. Ashley's cause of death was manual strangulation, and though she was last seen leaving a house party to go visit her ex-boyfriends house, no one knows what happened. The case went cold, THEN, Angel Torres disappeared. One person who was at the house party with Ashley was also the last person to see Angel alive, so what happened?Make sure you're following along as we upload new episodes every Monday and as always, thank you for listening!Contact us at crimewithak@gmail.comSupport our show! https://www.buzzsprout.com/1805132/supportSources for this episode include:https://www.newscentermaine.com/article/news/crime/ashley-ouelette-search-for-clues-in-unsolved-crime-of-teen-found-dead-in-middle-of-road-in-scarborough-maine/97-3228857f-1efc-420e-866d-74d52d3012c5https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/7076615/ashley-erin-ouellettehttps://www.pressherald.com/1999/02/21/short-life-of-trouble-and-hope/https://www.newscentermaine.com/article/news/crime/ashley-ouelette-search-for-clues-in-unsolved-crime-of-teen-found-dead-in-middle-of-road-in-scarborough-maine/97-3228857f-1efc-420e-866d-74d52d3012c5https://fox23maine.com/news/local/who-killed-ashley-ouellette-police-make-plea-for-new-leads-in-1999-murder-of-saco-student-pine-point-road-scarborough-strangled-thornton-academy-maine-state-policehttps://www.facebook.com/people/Remembering-Ashley-E-Ouellette/100064652861578/https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/7076615/ashley-erin-ouellettehttps://medium.com/the-mystery-reporter/three-months-after-a-teens-murder-a-college-student-who-knew-the-killer-disappears-92689969beb9https://running4free.com/RaceDetails.aspx?raceid=424https://www.pressherald.com/2021/08/30/parents-of-maine-man-who-disappeared-more-than-two-decades-ago-increase-reward-for-information/https://wgme.com/news/local/what-happened-to-angel-torres-maine-family-still-searching-for-answers-23-years-laterhttps://www.wabi.tv/2022/05/Support the show

While other Sharks showed interest in the company, Daymond John, the multimillionaire behind FUBU, was the only one to make a formal offer after seeing the device, marketed as the “ultimate fishing essential” on the company’s website. The exposure is a huge victory for the start-up that Zahorski founded on a whim in 2013. He quit his six-figure salary sales job at an appliance company in Arizona, sold his prized fishing boat and the dream home he helped build with his bare hands, then moved back to his hometown in western Wisconsin with his wife and two young daughters. A prototype made of welding putty and a dental floss cutter would explode into a booming business. Less than two years after launching, the rings now sell in hundreds of independent bait and tackle shops in eight different countries. Welcome to this December 17 show. Help 4 HD Radio has designated the month of December for celebrating our amazing HD advocates. Tonight we are happy to introduce Papa Mike, Raima and The Wilderness Kids as our incredible special guests. Best known as the Wilderness Kids Firewood and Maple Syrup of Saco Maine, the Wilderness Kids are Mike and Raima's grandchildren, Brandon Irving, age 13, and his sisters Elizabeth (11) and Karissa (8) who founded this amazing program in memory of their two uncles Chris and John Irving, who have passed from Huntington's disease. The children’s father, Nicholas, who is the youngest brother of Chris and John, does not have the genetic disease. He was one of the lucky few who did not inherit the mutated gene which causes HD.  Papa Mike and the children sell firewood and maple syrup to help raise money for other families who are struggling to care for loved ones with the disease. We are going to talk about the kids' dream to make a difference in the lives of all HD and JHD families around the world. What an amazing family and what an amazing story. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May everyone have a wonderful and safe Holiday Season.
