POPULARITY
Sunday, January 26, 2025, We’re privileged to have the Men’s Keryx in Community (KIC) join us for worship this morning. Pastor Ryp's message is titled "Learning to Minister in Weakness." God gifts everyone who chooses to follow Him with special and unique abilities intended to build up the Church. Every gift is a form of ministry, even if many don’t see it that way. People often operate most effectively in their "Ministry Gift" when they feel their weakest. God has a unique way of making us strong and effective, even when we feel vulnerable. In fact, if we believe we can do ministry on our own and by our own strength, we are likely setting ourselves up for failure. Therefore, you are encouraged to worship and study with us as we explore the power and authority we discover when God uses our weaknesses to make us powerfully effective in His Kingdom.

PLAN: 1. De quoi Paul souffre-t-il 2. Pourquoi Paul souffre-t-il 3. Comment Jésus fortifie-t-il Paul par la souffrance? 4. Quelles implications pour nous?
Lighthouse Baptist Church is an unashamed Independant, Fundamental, Pre-Millennial, King James Bible believing church. We love the Word of God, His people, and sinners. Our services are Bible Fashioned and as such are conservative and Spirit led.
Humanity was designed to need help from outside themselves to make them operate properly. While many of us assume that independence is part and parcel of growing up, increasing dependence upon God and the help he brings through others is a key component of becoming truly human.

Sometimes God may give us a supernatural experience, and sometimes he may also assign a “thorn in our side.” But in all circumstances, we need to know that He operates in our weakness, for His own glory... and our ultimate good... to keep us humble and content with Him alone Outline: o The Supernatural Experience [1-4] o The Result [5-8] o The Response [9-10]

Our mission at Community Church of Greenwood is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live in full devotion to Him. We want to help people far from God to experience new life in Jesus Christ.
In today's teaching, we learn from Pastor Ben that in order to grow in our faith to God we should pray for "Hunger for God's Word". Every day, we are under attack by the enemy, so we need to intentionally guard our hearts. Today, we learn that we don't use carnal weapons for spiritual war. Our weapons are: to put on the full armor of God, Bible reading, praying, fasting (not just from food, but from other crutches such as internet, social media, Facebook, etc.) When Heaven becomes real in our lives, everything becomes clearer. Our desire to go to Heaven, is because of the Love of Jesus.

This week we enter chapter 12 of 2nd Corinthians covering verses 1-10. This passage is packed with both curiosity and familiarity! Curiosity? In being forced to brag a bit, Paul meets the false teachers on the field of spiritual revelation and vision! Paul had his share of visions—you can read more about this in the book of Acts. It is curious that Paul talks about himself in the third person—as if he is speaking about someone else. And he tells of a vision of Paradise that is impossible to explain! Why does he talk about himself that way? What is Heaven like? Familiarity? You have heard about Paul’s “thorn in the flesh”. You have heard the verse, “My grace is sufficient?” The mighty miracle working Paul, who has healed others, is struggling as to why he is not being healed from this “thorn”. What is the thorn? Why doesn’t God answer Paul’s prayer by taking the thorn away? Ultimately, Paul recognizes that bragging is useless and only valuable for self-promotion. He doesn’t want to manipulate people to think too highly of him. This is a fantastic passage and we’ll unpack it together! Listen in and see!
