Jaclyn “Jackie” Corin is a co-founder and Executive Director of March For Our Lives, a leading youth-led advocacy organization working to end gun violence in the United States. A survivor of the 2018 mass shooting in Parkland, Florida, she helped catalyze one of the largest youth protests in American history and elevate gun violence as a central national issue. In the years since, she has led high-impact campaigns to hold the gun lobby and elected officials accountable and built one of the largest youth organizing networks in the country, supporting hundreds of student-led groups nationwide. Women of the BibleIn this study we will take a look at the women within the Bible. We will look at each one of them and see how their story influences our lives today.In this first study we will start with Eve.Eve was the first woman. Independent and curious, she disobeyed Yahweh's commands. She ate the forbidden fruit, (more on this later) setting forth major change in the Garden of Eden - and human history.Although man and woman have different roles to play within marriage, as far as our standing with Yahweh is concerned, we are equal. We are both created in the image of Yahweh. We were both called to subdue the earth. In our last study we began with the story on Eve. We discovered that Eve WAS NOT taken from one of Adam's ribs, but from the image of his side as the Hebrew word for our English word “rib” is “tsay-law'”. We finish up our study in Genesis 3 where we were reading about the Serpent deceiving the woman, Eve. I will begin in Chapter 3 verse 3.So far in this Chapter 3 we seen the serpent (nachash – shining one) talking with Eve. What we have seen here is that Satan's method of operation. Twisting Yahweh's Words! Just as he tried to do in Matthew 4. In our last study I have read to you how Satan comes and goes between heaven and earth as documented in Job Chapters 1 and 2. We also learned how beautiful Satan was in Ezekiel Chapter 28 until sin was found within him. Paul informs us that in 2 Corin. 11:14 Satan can transform into an angel of light.3   tree = from Strongs 6086, “ates” from 6095; now 6086 is tree, from it's firmness, 6095 is “as-tsaw” a prime root, properly to fasten (to make firm) that is, to close (the eyes). "Immorality Defiles the Church" and "Immorality Must Be Judged" How long have we been told that we are not supposed to judge others?  Is that true, or are we called to learn to discern according to God's ways so we can judge and be like Him? We hopped in our time machine this week to read 2006's A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole. When a Scottish Lykae (who just happens to be a king) finally scents his fated mate while being held prisoner by a bunch of vampires, he quite literally gnaws his way to freedom. Except that when he finds her on the streets of Paris, he realizes that she, too, is a vampire. Turn out, she's only half-vampire. Her other half is valkyrie. And she's a bada$$. This week I'm speaking with Laurie Meek Watkins who has always referred to herself as a “Cracked Pot”.  She's the Type A Lady behind the blog type a checklist. Laurie dedicates her imperfect self to helping you know a great big God who overcomes an imperfect world. (2 Corin. 4:7-9). In 2020, Laurie shifted from being “cracked” to “shattered” as her husband and companion of 40 years walked away from their marriage. For the next two years, Laurie experienced the ongoing trauma and chaos of trying to pull her marriage back together...until Godly counsel told her it was time to let go. (Matt 18:15-17) Then… Hurricane Ian took her home. God was teaching deep lessons in letting go of loss. Laurie's goal is to walk this new journey with dignity and glorify God along the way.  She searches to find purpose in her pain and to share hope with others. (Romans 8:28). You've heard it said, “ There's Good News...and then there's Bad News.”  (John 16:33). Laurie will share the Bad News, the Good News...and THEN...the GLORIOUS News: God restores shattered things. (Isaiah 61:2-4) “I am making everything new!”  (Rev. 21:5) Laurie's message for you: “Precious one.  Please remember you are loved with an everlasting love. Jesus wants you to fall fully and completely into His arms.  Jesus has already won your battle for you.  He calls you to come to Him and REST.  Let go.
