Today on a Daily Walk we take you to Second Corinthians twelve, where Paul the apostle describes a thorn in the flesh that he prayed three times for the Lord to take away. God didn't deliver Paul out of the trial, but sustained him in the midst of it. And He can do the same for you. To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/1368/29
Most of us find it extremely annoying when someone brags of their accomplishments, like we see constantly in the world of professional sports. We'll learn today that boasting has no place in the Christian life, unless we are boasting in our weaknesses or about our good and gracious Lord. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Thursday morning, the 6th of March, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go to 2 Corinthians 12:9:”…but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.” When I am weak, then I am strong.I want to ask you today, at the moment, are you going through a really rough time? Then, this beautiful scripture verse will strengthen you. You see, Paul had a thorn in his flesh and he asked the Lord three times to remove it. The Lord did not remove it. He said, “My grace, My undeserved loving kindness, is enough for you.” You say, “But I can't take it anymore.” Oh, but you can and you must. You see, by His grace, He will see you through but you must let Jesus help you. Verse 10 says, ”For when I am weak, then I am strong.”You see, the stiff upper-lip, “cowboys don't cry”, “do it my way”, doesn't work. I have tried it many times. I remember as a young farmer planting my crop of maize, the planting time is crucial. My tractors broke down, I didn't know what to do and then I heard the noise of tractors coming over the hill. My neighbours had seen what had happened. They saw that I was at the end of my tether, I couldn't anymore. They sent their tractors over and completed the planting of the crop for me. It was very humbling, but I was so grateful. Humble yourself, ask the Lord to help you and then carry on and God will send help to you. He always has for me and it is always at the 11th hour. As you can hear by my voice, at the moment I have got a bit of a frog in my throat, but by His grace, the next time you hear me I will be clear as a bell.Jesus bless you as you continue to look to Jesus, and Him alone, for your help.Goodbye.

How do you reconcile faith in God with the presence of so much evil and brokenness in the world? Some people look at the suffering around them and conclude: If God is good, he must not be in control; and if he's in control, he's certainly not good. But what about for believers like us? SUFFICIENT GRACE (19.01.25) by Paul Osei Yaw Afoakwa
2 Corinthians 12:9 says this... “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” Whatever weakness you're experiencing today... His grace is sufficient for you.

Splinters, thorns, prickers. It doesn't matter what they are called, they hurt and get under your skin! Life in our world is filled with thorns: difficult relationships, illness, loss of loved ones, broken promises. The Bible tells us that even the Apostle Paul and God Himself in Jesus struggled under the bite of thorns. But God does not allow thorns in our lives without providing sufficient grace to live in the prickly mess. What Satan intends to push us down often results in pushing us to our knees in front of God's throne instead. You who wore my thorns that I may know Your gracepierced by my sin that I may see Your faceloved and forgiven from shame and deep disgrace. You wore my thorns. You wore my thorns. The Live recording of the 10am Service at Steadfast Church in Carlsbad, California with Pastor Chris Fik October 13, 2024.
Be encouraged this week as Brandi Strain shares her testimony of God's sufficient grace throughout her life. She recounts how her life began in a broken home, how drugs took her mother from her at an early age, and how God was leading and guiding her even when she couldn't see His hand at work. This is a testimony to the power and saving grace that only a merciful God can provide. No matter what life has handed you, God's grace is sufficient for you.

All Sufficient Grace 2 Cor. 12:9 #RTTBROS #Nightlight All Sufficient Grace "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." - 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) In this passage, the Apostle Paul speaks of a profound truth: God's grace is all we need to overcome our struggles and weaknesses. Despite the many trials and tribulations Paul faced, he found comfort and strength in the knowledge that God's grace was sufficient for him. Just as Paul experienced hardships, we too may face thorns in our flesh - physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges that seem overwhelming at times. These trials can leave us feeling weak, helpless, and alone. However, it is in these moments of weakness that we can truly experience the power of God's all-sufficient grace. When we humble ourselves and acknowledge our need for God's help, His strength is made perfect in our weakness. It is not through our own abilities or merits that we overcome, but through the power of Christ working within us. This realization should lead us to a place of gratitude and humility, as we recognize that every victory is a testament to God's grace. Moreover, as we navigate the difficulties of life, we can find solace in the fact that we are not alone. Just as the church in Corinth rallied around Paul, we too have a community of believers who can offer prayer, encouragement, and practical support. By bearing one another's burdens and sharing in each other's joys, we demonstrate the love of Christ and experience the beauty of His all-sufficient grace. In times of weakness, let us not despair, but rather embrace the opportunity to witness God's power at work in our lives. As we lean on His grace, we will find the strength to persevere and the courage to face each new challenge with faith and hope. Remember, God's grace is not dependent on our performance or worthiness. It is a free gift, given to us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. When we place our trust in Him, we can rest assured that His grace will carry us through every trial and every victory. So, let us rejoice in our weaknesses, knowing that they provide an opportunity for God's strength to shine through. May we, like Paul, gladly glory in our infirmities, so that the power of Christ may rest upon us and His all-sufficient grace may be made evident to all. As we go forth, let us cling to the promise found in 2 Corinthians 12:9, confident that God's grace is indeed sufficient for us, no matter what challenges we may face. May we find comfort, strength, and hope in the all-sufficient grace of our loving Heavenly Father. https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros

This week. Pastor Jackson closes out this series by discussing the complexity of God's grace. Many of us want to be on the receiving end of God's grace, but have we considered how grace can actually look as we're receiving it? Have we considered what we have to endure while benefiting from God's favor?
