Suppose that by some painful operation you could have your right arm made a little longer. I don't suppose you would care to undergo the operation. But if you foresaw that by enduring the pain, you'd be able to reach out and save drowning men who would otherwise sink before your eyes, I think you would willingly bear the agony and pay the heavy fee to the surgeon in order to be able to rescue others.

I have a friend who generally sits to hear me every Sunday. One day he asked, "What do you think? You're my only link with better things, but you are an awful man in my estimation, because you don't have the slightest sympathy with me." I replied, "No, I have not. Rather, I don't have the least sympathy with your unbelief." He said, "That makes me cling to you, because I fear I will always remain as I am. But when I see your calm faith and how God blesses you in exercising it, and know what you accomplish through the power of that faith, I say to myself, 'Jack, you are a fool.'"
This is message 3 in The Twelve Disciples series John 1:35-42 Andrew's life exemplifies a faithful witness, from bringing his brother Peter to Christ to introducing a boy with a small lunch that fed thousands and guiding seeking Greeks to the Savior. His actions demonstrate that evangelism begins with a willing heart and extends to everyone, regardless of age or background, fulfilling the call to share the gospel with all people. Evangelist Peter Kalagi from Uganda has been involved in extensive evangelism efforts across Uganda and other parts of Africa, including street preaching, feeding programs, and revival meetings. He had a powerful encounter with Jesus at the age of 14 that led him to pursue full-time ministry, though he initially resisted this calling. Peter Kalagi is now focused on a campaign called “I Am a Soul Winner”, seeking to inspire and equip more Ugandan believers to engage in evangelism and reach the lost.

Sharing Your Faith, Lesson 5, Being an Effective Soul Winner | 1 Corinthians 4:2 | Pastor Will Cover
Luke 19:10 (KJV) “10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” In this message Reverend Lindsay preaches “Tell them: Why you must be a soul-winner”. Where there is no vision a person perishes. Don't look at people as just the physical look at them like souls that need a savior. God has given us the task of reconciling people to Him. If the church fails at this it will never be done. Taking responsibility for souls shows that one has vision and wants to complete God's mission. God takes care of people that will take care of the souls/sheep. You must be a soul-winner to be a star in the house of the Lord. Lord give us fresh oil for souls! When we see people we must see souls that God loves and desires for them know and love Him.
Spurgeon never tired of seeking souls. Every sinner pointed to the cross and brought by grace into Christ's fold made him eager to more. Neither did he think that this was somehow an unusual or singular desire. As far as he was concerned, every believer should have the same goal, and could anticipate a blessing in its pursuit. I think he feared that these desires might shrivel or deflect. It is, then, no surprise that his sermons often return to this theme, as here. On this occasion, he has two simple points to make: first, that “the life of the believer is, or ought to be, full of soul blessing,” and, second, that “the pursuit of the believer ought always to be soul winning.” Regarding the first, he talks about the benefits that a truly holy man or woman brings to those around them, as the goodness of God spills over from their own into adjoining lives. After the life, says Spurgeon, the effort: here he urges God's people to seek after souls, as some men seek to win hearts, honours, and wealth. This, he contends, is heavenly wisdom. Not content with general exhortations, he suggests that, in the aftermath of that very sermon, that every hearer determines to win a soul that very night. It is a startlingly personal and immediate conclusion and application, and one which we might readily take to heart.
