5-6-25 - Tonight we're talking with Alen RadoŠević with Fool Moon Meadery in Romania. Alen makes excellent mead and has a meadery that sells in Romania only (for now). Alen is owner and meadmaker at FoolMoon Transilvania - Romania. Alen is Certified through the Level 2 Mead Judging Program at the European Mead Makers Association. He is also winner of gold and silver medals at the 2025 Mead Madness CUP (MMC). Alen is relatively new to mead, but it hasn't slowed him down at all. He's been making mead since 2020, and has a long family tradition of making wine and rakija. Somewhere in 2020, Alen switched from sourdough to mead because he wanted to feed his sourdough with honey. There was a small experimental batch and it grew into passion. Fool Moon opened in 2023, but didn't go public until 2024, after wending their way through a mess of paperwork in Romania. I got to meet him and sample his mead, and hang out at the Copa Hidromiel 2024 in Mexico City, where he nabbed a couple medals. Join us to talk mead with Alen! We'll be talking technique, styles, recipes and more! Dominic is a home mead maker in Australia. A dodgy mead recipe in a cookbook led him to the hobby, and then to more reliable sources! In this episode of Leadership on the Links, we explore the inspiring career journey of Alan FitzGerald, a golf course superintendent whose path has taken him from the emerald shores of Ireland to some of the world's top golf courses. Alan shares his experiences growing up around golf courses, his early career at Mount Juliet resort, and his education at Penn State and Loch Lomond. His six-year tenure at Pine Valley and 19 years at Ledgerock prepared him for his current role at Rehoboth Beach Country Club, where he continues to innovate and lead in the field of golf course management. Continuing Education and Innovation Alan's commitment to lifelong learning has been a cornerstone of his success. Earning his Master Greenkeeper certification stands as a key milestone in his career, symbolizing not just his expertise but his dedication to staying ahead in an ever-evolving industry. This pursuit of excellence has driven him to embrace new tools and techniques that continually push the boundaries of golf course management. One standout example is his early adoption of drone spraying technology. Recognizing the potential of drones, Alan integrated this cutting-edge tool to enhance precision and efficiency in maintaining course conditions. By leveraging technology to streamline operations, he has set a new standard for innovation in the industry. Beyond specific tools, Alan emphasizes the importance of staying on top of industry trends. Whether implementing the latest agronomic techniques or exploring new methods for sustainable course management, his proactive approach ensures that he and his team remain leaders in their field. Innovative Staffing Solutions A forward thinker in staffing as well, Alan has found creative ways to address labor challenges while maintaining high standards on the course. His use of the H2B visa program has allowed him to bring in skilled international workers during peak seasons, a strategy that ensures quality and consistency in course management. At the same time, he has also tapped into the experience of retired staff, whose mentorship and practical knowledge have proven invaluable to his team's success. Alan doesn't just rely on conventional methods to recruit and train staff. He is also a strong advocate of the First Green program, an initiative by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), which provides students with hands-on learning opportunities in environmental stewardship and golf course management. Through this program, Alan inspires the next generation of golf course professionals, while strengthening ties between the golf community and the public. Industry Engagement and Community Impact Alan's involvement with The First Green program exemplifies his broader vision for the industry. By integrating students into the operations of his course, he fosters a deeper understanding of the environmental practices and career opportunities within golf course management. The program not only serves as a valuable educational tool, but also enhances public relations, showing how golf courses contribute positively to the community. By engaging with the next generation of professionals and creating these meaningful connections, Alan helps bridge the gap between golf course operations and the broader community. His work in this area positions golf courses as community assets, showcasing their role in environmental stewardship and local engagement. Alan FitzGerald's career is a testament to the power of innovation, education, and community engagement. His dedication to adopting new technologies, developing sustainable staffing solutions, and inspiring the next generation continues to set him apart in the industry. As he moves forward in his role at Rehoboth Beach Country Club, Alan's forward-thinking approach ensures that he will remain a leader in golf course management for years to come. Soundbytes: "I think that was part of it, but it was a bit deflating for a while. Over the last 18 months, I applied for several jobs that I thought I could interview for, but I didn't get any." 17:07-18:00 “On the flip side, I was pleasantly surprised by a few things. For example, at LedgeRock, where I built everything from scratch, I thought implementing agronomic practices would be much harder. But, to my surprise, it's been going well so far.” 25:23-25:30 Quotes: "I think the interviews before I've tried to say the right things or do the right things, and I really wasn't myself. In this process, I was myself and in doing that, I took the pressure off myself somewhat." "I think it's great to see younger kids getting excited about the First Green program. However, engaging teenagers has been more challenging than I expected. To keep them interested, it needs to be more than just educational; it must also be challenging and engaging."  "Although our total payroll is close to 40, we only have around 25 staff members here each day. The flexibility in scheduling has been excellent, with up to 16 to 18 people working on weekend mornings. Overall, the setup has worked really well for us." “Leaving a long-term, comfortable position can be challenging, but exploring new opportunities can lead to personal and professional growth.” “Continuously pursuing education and adopting new technologies can help you stay ahead of the curve and improve efficiency.” Links Mentioned in This Episode: Tyler Bloom Consulting: https://tylerbloomconsulting.com/ The First Green - https://www.thefirstgreen.org/ Connect with Alan on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alangfitzgerald/

Recently, I read a tweet by flea, and I was forced to reconsider: https://twitter.com/flea333/status/1774601328502898936 https://youtu.be/QEgalcH_-b4?si=q7ZD6rdC4ZhfnwbY&t=1762 Pat Matheny on German jazz critics Pat Matheny was a jazz guitarist that my stepfather really admired. For that reason, in my youth I stayed away from it. In general, I mind it less now that I am older, but I generally don't seek it out. Sometimes, a random tweet by flea will turn decades of tradition on its head, and I'll be forced to reconsider. In an interview with Rick Beato, Pat Metheny had this to say about musical invention: German jazz critics are great. They'll come right out and say the most direct thing. I had a guy say to me-- you know, not that long ago, maybe 10 years ago-- "Are you the last old guy, or are you the first new guy?" and the thing is, I bet you know what he means too, right? Yeah, of course.. I mean, for me, both. Well, I don't know, I mean, you know, it's hard to be objective about your own thing, but what I will say is that, for me, there was no option other than trying to invent stuff, yeah. Anxious feelings I had a bout of anxious feelings and panic. I reached out to my care team and spoke over video and in-person at the office with my doctor the next day. Domestic Emptiness For the first time since 2020, my wife is back to the office four days a week. It's probably a big change for her. She comes home bursting with stories of her new gig. She seems very stimulated, and I think that's a good thing. Our home is empty during the day for the first time since we moved from San Jose. The defendants had been charged with a blockade that occurred at the Carafem Health Center Clinic in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, in 2021. The defendants will be sentenced on July 2. They “each face up to a maximum of 10 and a half years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $260,000,” the Department of Justice said. At least one of the defendants plans to appeal. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/256692/six-pro-life-activists-convicted-of-federal-face-act-charges-face-over-a-decade-in-prison The US Supreme Court announced Monday that oral arguments in a high-stakes abortion pill case will be heard on March 26. The decision in the case could determine whether the abortion pill mifepristone can be prescribed by telemedicine or sent through the mail. The Biden administration is challenging a federal court ruling that found that the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) did not follow proper testing and safety protocols when it approved the abortion drug in 2000. Over the years, other restrictions on the drug have been removed. In 2016, the FDA determined that the drug can be used when a woman is pregnant with a child at 70 days gestation. Before 2016, the gestational limit was seven weeks. The FDA also decided in 2016 that non-physicians could prescribe the pill. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/256689/us-supreme-court-to-hear-major-abortion-pill-case-in-march Today, the Church celebrates Saint Brigid of Kildare, a monastic foundress who is – together with Saint Patrick and Saint Columcille – one of Ireland's three patron saints. Saint Brigid directly influenced several other future saints of Ireland, and her many religious communities helped to secure the country's conversion from paganism to the Catholic faith. Under Brigid's leadership, the abbey she founded at Kildare played a major role in the successful Christianization of Ireland. The abbess' influence was felt in the subsequent era of the Irish Church, a time when the country became known for its many monasteries and their intellectual achievements. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/saint/st-brigid-of-ireland-134

They face up to 11 years in prison. The pro-life activists were accused by the Department of Justice of violating the FACE Act and civil rights conspiracy for a protest that took place in a hallway outside of a Mount Juliet abortion provider on March 5, 2021. On that day, a group of demonstrators gathered on the second floor of an office building in the hallway outside the Carafem Health Center Clinic. The group prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic to not get abortions. Those on trial included Chet Gallagher of Tennessee, Coleman Boyd of Mississippi, Heather Idoni of Michigan, Cal Zastrow of Michigan, Paul Vaughn of Tennessee, and Dennis Green of Virginia. All six defendants were found guilty of both counts. They are expected to be sentenced in July. The conspiracy charge can be punished with up to 11 years in prison, three years of supervised release, and fines of up to $350,000 while the FACE Act charge can lead to one year in prison and a $10,000 fine. The verdict was delivered on the fifth day of the trial, which took place at the Fred D. Thompson courthouse in Nashville. The case was overseen by Judge Aleta Trauger, appointed to the court in 1998 by then-President Bill Clinton. One of the government’s key witnesses was Caroline Davis, a woman who was arrested with the group at Carafem. During her testimony, Davis claimed that she had a change of heart about attending the protest and that her “rational side” was “in the toilet” at the time of her participation. She said that she changed her mind “over time” and that being indicted by the federal government “terrified” her. Video of the demonstration showed the group singing songs like “Holy, Holy, Holy,” and “Onward Christian Soldiers,” while others showed members of the group talking to police. Another video showed one participant telling another to speak “in love” to a man with his girlfriend who had shown up at Carafem and that someone’s “baby is a gift from God.” https://www.foxnews.com/politics/texas-governor-abbott-stark-message-sanctuary-cities-migrant-crisis Texas Gov. Abbott sends stark message to sanctuary cities as migrant crisis continues Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sent a stark message to sanctuary cities on Monday, vowing his state's transportation of migrants to their areas would continue until the federal government takes action on the worsening border crisis. "Texas has transported over 102,000 migrants to sanctuary cities. Overwhelmed Texas border towns should not bear the brunt of Biden’s open border policies. Our transportation mission will continue until Biden secures the border," Abbott wrote in a post on X. Abbott's promise comes amid his feud with the Biden administration over enforcement of the border, and whether Texas has the authority to defend itself from the waves of migrants overwhelming law enforcement and immigration officials. The two sides have been feuding since 2021 when the migrant crisis escalated and Texas launched Operation Lone Star to surge resources to the border. The administration recently sued over an anti-illegal immigration law that allows state and local law enforcement to arrest illegal immigrants. It has also sued over the state’s setting up of buoys in the Rio Grande. The administration says immigration enforcement is up to the federal government and Texas is interfering. Last week, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision on an emergency appeal to temporarily overturn a lower court’s injunction that banned the federal government from cutting razor fencing Texas had installed along the border near Eagle Pass while litigation continues. Following the ruling, Abbott declared his constitutional authority to reserve the right of his state to self-defense against an invasion, adding that the executive branch had broken its constitutional pact with the states by failing to enforce federal immigration laws. Former President Donald Trump on Thursday gave his backing to Abbott amid the latter’s feud with the Biden administration — urging states to send their National Guards to the border and promising to work "hand in hand" with the state to combat the "invasion" if he is inaugurated again in January 2025. Abbott has also picked up the support of more than two dozen Republican states who have publicly expressed their support for the state. Meanwhile, some Democrats have urged the Biden administration to seize control of the National Guard. https://www.dailywire.com/news/exclusive-disneyland-posts-woke-wheel-of-privilege-in-employee-kitchen-removes-it-after-daily-wire-inquiry Disneyland Posts Woke ‘Wheel Of Privilege’ In Employee Kitchen, Removes It After Daily Wire Inquiry Posters featuring a “wheel of power/privilege” were hung in employee spaces in Disneyland, instructing employees that being white, “cisgender male,” and even speaking English means you have “unearned” privilege that your “marginalized” coworkers do not, according to images obtained by The Daily Wire. The wheel featured for all employees to see has the word “power” in the middle, and is sectioned like a dart board, with certain traits fanning outward that are labeled “marginalized.” For example, being white, a “cisgender male,” owning property, and speaking English are all considered privileged, while being dark-skinned, transgender, homeless, and not speaking English are considered marginalized. In between the inner and outer circle – which would be considered not completely marginalized but not totally privileged either – are “cisgender women,” gay men, people with a high school education, and who learned English. Included with the wheel is a definition of “privilege,” stating that it is “unearned access or advantage granted to specific groups of people because of their membership in a social group.” “Privilege can be based off a variety of different social identities such as race, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, ability status, sexuality, age, education level, and more,” it continues. “Within the US, members of social groups that hold privileges (white, male, wealthy, able-bodied, etc) have historically held dominance and power over targeted groups.” The poster also asks, “why should we accept that we have privileges?” It provides the following answer: “By accepting that we have privileges, we can see that not everyone sees the world from our perspective and that we have privileges in our life that have hindered our awareness of the world.” The image was provided by source who works for the Walt Disney Company, who wished to remain anonymous for fear of retribution from the company. The employee said the materials were posted in the production kitchen on Main Street USA in Disneyland in Anaheim, California. This production kitchen services Carnation Cafe, The Tropical Hideaway, Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe, and Refreshment Corner sponsored by Coca Cola. The employee said divisive materials like this are “destroying the magic” of the park. “So many cast members, myself included, are tired of the division being pushed by companies with a lack of regard for the founder’s vision,” the source told The Daily Wire. “This isn’t what Walt would have wanted for his company. He once said, ‘To ALL who come to this happy place, Welcome.’ Things like this make people feel unwelcome, destroying the magic.” The Daily Wire reached out to the Walt Disney Company to ask about the poster and why they are posted. Within hours of reaching out, our source said a manager removed the poster, and sent a photo of the now-empty display cabinet, which still features another poster about the lunar new year and 2024 being the year of the dragon. Disney did not ultimately respond to the request for comment. Disney has come under fire in recent years for its turn toward “wokeness,” with numerous box-office blunders for films deemed to be pushing Leftist political agendas. Top-ranking employees at Disney have also admitted to pushing a “not-at-all-secret gay agenda,” The Daily Wire previously reported. In 2023, the company lost nearly $1 billion on movies like Elemental and The Little Mermaid. Company CEO Bob Iger admitted last year that Disney lost sight of entertainment as it put more political messaging into its content. https://www.dailyfetched.com/serbia-to-introduce-a-mandatory-military-draft-amid-ww3-tensions/ Serbia to Introduce a Mandatory Military Draft amid WW3 Tensions Serbia is reportedly considering reintroducing compulsory military service as tensions in the Balkans and elsewhere in Europe begin increasing amid WW3 fears. President Aleksandar Vucic said army commanders gave him “a strong argumentation” in favor of mandatory draft. Compulsory drafts here were suspended in 2011 in a push to professionalize the armed forces. However, the Serbian president did not specify when the draft would return but said the national parliament would vote on the proposal. “We are not threatening anyone,” Vucic said. “Today, if you don’t have (a strong) army, you don’t have a country.” “We will see if it (military service) will last 90 or 100 days, or maybe 110 days,” Vucic told reporters. “As well as when it will be introduced and how the financial and logistical assumptions will be fulfilled.” The Washington Post reported: “Opposition politicians and other critics of a draft have questioned the logic of a military buildup when Serbia is almost completely surrounded by NATO member countries which have superior firepower in case of a conflict. There are also concerns that the government may struggle to foot the bill for a larger military. Tensions have been high in the Balkans, which went through the bloody breakup of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. Although formally neutral, the Serbian Army has maintained close ties to Russia, from which it purchases most of its arms, including fighter jets and tanks.“ Serbia was one of the few countries to refuse sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine. Tensions revolved around Serbia’s former province of Kosovo, which declared independence in 2008, which Serbia and allies Russia and China have not recognized. Over the last few months, Serbia has raised the combat readiness on the border with Kosovo several times. The country also maintained cordial relations with NATO, whose troops have been stationed in Kosovo since 1999. Earlier this week, top military officials warned that conscription could happen in the UK if NATO goes to war with Russia. General Sir Patrick Sanders, the outgoing head of the British Army, said such a conflict would need to be a “whole-of-nation undertaking.” “Within the next three years, it must be credible to talk of a British Army of 120,000, folding in our reserve and strategic reserve. But this is not enough,” he said. “We will not be immune and as the pre-war generation we must similarly prepare – and that is a whole-of-nation undertaking,” Sanders added. “Ukraine brutally illustrates that regular armies start wars; citizen armies win them. “But we’ve been here before, and workforce alone does not create capability.” The BBC reports that “other senior NATO military commanders have also recently been calling on the alliance to ready itself for a potential conflict.” According to the outlet: In response to Gen Sir Patrick speech the UK prime minister’s spokesman said hypothetical scenarios of a future potential conflict were not helpful and ruled out any move towards a conscription model for the Army. One senior Conservative MP told the BBC he did not think Rishi Sunak had fully appreciated the threat posed by Russia. The MP said that might be because the prime minister when growing up had not experienced the existential threat posed by the old Soviet Union during the Cold War era. Gen Sir Patrick said the nation could not afford to make the same mistakes of 1914, when it failed to perceive the escalations that led to World War One. And that is your news for today… Now folks, normally this is the part where I’d ask you to send me a news story to my email, or if you have questions about the upcoming FLF conference shoot me an email, etc. But alas, not this time. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed bringing you the news over the last year and a half or so. If you’re down that way, friend me up on Facebook by the way and we’ll meet up! With that being said, I wanted to tell you, the listener, how thankful I am for you giving my news show a listen. For saying hello at our FLF Conferences when I was out and about, for sending me news stories to my email, for the encouragement, or constructive criticism I’d receive when I couldn’t pronounce something… which believe me, I’m aware of those things… All of that to say. I’ve enjoyed giving you a look at what’s happening around the world on your morning commute to work… but I’ve received a job offer out of state - down in Huntsville AL, that I just couldn’t pass up. I’m thankful for the FLF community

1-30-24 We're off to Arkansas tonight (where it's warmer) to visit with Tony Fry, owner and meadmaker at Arkansas Meadery in Alexander, Arkansas. Since 2001, Tony Fry has been deeply passionate about the art of fermenting, starting with beer and wine and eventually delving into the world of mead. As a founding member of CAF ("Central Arkansas Fermenters") in 2003, a prominent homebrew club based in Little Rock, Arkansas, he played a pivotal role in fostering a vibrant community of enthusiasts, making it one of the largest homebrew clubs in the United States. In 2014, Tony ventured into beekeeping, which further sparked his interest in mead-making. This journey led him to acquire a small farm in Saline County, Arkansas, in 2015. Serendipitously, that same year, the dry county lifted restrictions on alcohol sales, providing the perfect opportunity for Tony to explore his passion for mead-making and the possibility of opening a Meadery. Tony views this sequence of events as a divine sign, inspiring him to establish Arkansas's first Meadery, opening the meadery in September of 2021. Today, he is thrilled to share his creations with the world, inviting everyone to join the journey. This player will show the most recent show, and when we're live, will play the live feed. Two suspects described as members of the Islamic State group have been arrested following the shooting on January 28 at Santa Maria Church in Istanbul's Sariyer district. Turkish Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced late on Sunday night that police had conducted raids on 30 locations across Istanbul following the attack during which the arrests were made. The Turkish bishops' conference has asked for prayers for the victim and his family in a statement released on January 28. The Turkish bishops also urged people “not to spread the culture of hatred and religious discrimination.” Earlier this month, Turkish news outlet Anadolu Agency reported that 25 suspected Islamic State members were arrested in Turkey on January 3 under accusation that they were plotting attacks on churches and synagogues. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/256667/islamic-state-claims-responsibility-for-attack-on-catholic-church-in-istanbul Six pro-life activists are on trial in Nashville, Tennessee, facing federal charges related to a 2021 blockade of a nearby abortion clinic. The blockade, documented in a March 5, 2021, video posted on Facebook, showed a large group of pro-life activists ranging from elderly to young children walking into an abortion clinic and blocking access to the door by sitting in front of it. The video shows pro-life activists singing Christian hymns and praying. Police can be seen demanding they leave the Carafem Health Center Clinic in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and while some do, others refuse. The federal government announced in October 2022 that it had charged 11 of the individuals under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/256657/six-pro-lifers-face-face-act-charges-in-tennessee-could-see-11-years-in-jail Today, the church celebrates Saint Gildas the Wise. Gildas was probably born around 517 in the North of England or Wales. He is regarded as being one of the most influential figures of the early English Church. The influence of his writing was felt until well into the middle ages, particularly in the Celtic Church. He is also important to us today as the first British writer whose works have survived fairly intact. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/saint/st-gildas-the-wise-131

Why Rand Paul opposes Nikki Haley, TN police officer: Pro-life rescuers were peaceful, Nigerian Muslims killed 25 Christians

It's Friday, January 26th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed 25 Christians Nigerian Fulani Muslim herdsmen, and other terrorists, attacked villages in the Plateau State at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 24th, killing at least 25 Christians, following the deaths of six others last week, reports Morning Star News. In a text message, Hosea Ibrahim said, “The invaders surrounded the village … and they shot at anyone they sighted. Twenty-five Christians, who were mostly women and children, were killed during the attack.” Why Senator Rand Paul opposes Nikki Haley's candidacy Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky is so philosophically opposed to Nikki Haley's GOP presidential candidacy that he created a new website – www.NeverNikki.net – exclusively devoted to his opposition. PAUL: “I'm announcing this morning that I'm ‘Never Nikki [Haley.]' And if you go to www.NeverNikki.net, you can let her know that you're not a supporter either. I don't think any informed or knowledgeable libertarian or conservative should support Nikki Haley. I've seen her attitude towards our interventions overseas. I've seen her involvement in the military industrial complex, $8 million being paid to become part of the team. “But I've also seen her indicate that she thinks you should be registered to use the internet. I think she fails to understand that our Republic was founded upon people like Ben Franklin, Sam Adams, Madison, John Jay, and others who posted routinely, for fear of the government, they posted routinely anonymously. So, I'm announcing today I'm ‘Never Nikki.' You can go to www.NeverNikki.net and sign up and show her that you're ‘Never Nikki' also.” Appearing on Tucker Carlson's Twitter show, Senator Paul shared more detail. PAUL: “It gets to me when I see people who I think care more about the borders of Ukraine than they care about our own southern border. I see these people every day because they're the entire Democratic caucus up here, but they're half of my caucus. Half of my Republican caucus is as we speak, ready to sell out, and they're ready to sell out fake border reform in exchange for what they really want, which is to send more of your tax dollars to Ukraine. “I think Nikki Haley fits right in that camp. I think she's from the [Senator Mitch] McConnell/ [Vice President] Dick Cheney wing of the party. And this is the antithesis of everything I believe in.” Trial begins for six pro-lifers targeted by Biden over peaceful protest The trial for six pro-life rescuers targeted by the Biden administration for peacefully protesting a Tennessee abortion mill back on March 5, 2021 began in federal court in Nashville on Wednesday, reports The Daily Wire. The pro-life activists are accused of violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act for a protest that took place in a hallway outside of a Mount Juliet, Tennessee abortion provider. On that day, a group of demonstrators gathered on the second floor of an office building outside the innocuously named Carafem Health Center Clinic which is an abortion mill. The pro-lifers prayed, sang hymns, and urged women showing up to the clinic to not get abortions. Proverbs 24:11 says, “Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter.” Eleven of the protesters were arrested for trespassing, at the time, after local police arrived and dispersed the crowd. In October 2022, the 11 pro-lifers were indicted by a federal grand jury after the Justice Department pursued charges against them. Unbelievably, if convicted, the pro-lifers could face up to 11 years in prison and $250,000 worth of fines. As the trial began, roughly 40 people sat in the gallery, including family of those on trial and multiple people who brought Bibles along. During the opening statement, the federal government accused the pro-lifers of plotting to “block doors to a health care clinic” and saying that the demonstrators planned on being arrested. Each of the lawyers for the pro-life defendants then had an opportunity to give an opening statement.  Jodie Bell, Chet Gallagher's lawyer, said that the pro-lifers were peaceful and were only trying to convince pregnant women not to abort their unborn children. The other lawyers said that their clients never injured, threatened, or assaulted anyone during the protest. Steve Crampton, with the Thomas More Society, said that his client, Paul Vaughn, was an innocent man, and the protest was a “non-violent, peaceful exercise.” After the opening statements, the government called on Mount Juliet police officer Lance Schneider to testify. During his testimony, Schneider, who has been a police officer for 24 years, said that police were called to the scene because business was being disrupted. He said that the protesters were “not being violent” and were offering no physical resistance. Officer Schneider, who said he arrested four juveniles that day, noted that the Mount Juliet Police did not make any arrests for assault or fear of assault. After court adjourned, several of the pro-lifers on trial, and their supporters, gathered outside to sing the Christian hymn “All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name.” Overseeing the case is Judge Aleta Trauger, appointed to the court in 1998 by then Democrat President Bill Clinton. Snowboarding coach fired for affirmation of God-given gender And finally, a Vermont high school snowboarding coach, named David Bloch, was fired for stating that males are biologically different than females.  He's filing an appeal in federal court after the school district denied his request for reinstatement, reports FaithWire.com. Bloch explained. BLOCH: “During downtime at a competition that involved the team with a male athlete, who identifies as a female, two of my players and I were sitting together at a table. The conversation turned to whether male athletes should compete against female athletes based on asserted gender identity. One student at the table, a male, said that he thought athletes should compete against males or females according to their sex rather than asserted gender identity. The other student, a female responded by calling him transphobic. “I then joined the conversation. I said that ‘even though I recognize that people may express themselves in particular ways, what matters most when it comes to sports is the very real differences between the sexes.' I pointed out that ‘an archaeologist might not be able to determine whether a person identified as a male or female, but he would be able to tell whether the bones had male or female DNA.' “Everyone remained respectful. And even though we may not have agreed, the female student thanked me for what she called a ‘good conversation.' Even though the school district seized upon that conversation to hand me my walking papers the very next day.” Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” Close And that's The Worldview in 5 Minutes on this Friday, January 26th, in the year of our Lord 2024. In this episode of the 5 Leadership Questions podcast, Todd Adkins and Dan Iten are joined by Mark Satterfield, the Lead Pastor at the Glade Church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. They focus on the five steps to getting things done, which include reducing, prioritizing, planning, executing, and measuring tasks. Satterfield also highlights the importance of having a vision framework, utilizing task management and productivity apps, learning from CEOs, reducing clutter, saying no to non-priority tasks, and delegating effectively. The 5 steps to getting things done are: Reduce: This step involves evaluating tasks and prioritizing them based on importance and relevance. (3:07) Prioritize: After reducing tasks, it is important to prioritize the remaining tasks based on their significance and alignment with vision and values. (14:18) Plan: The planning step involves creating a schedule or a plan to allocate time and resources to the prioritized tasks. This includes using strategies like the Eisenhower matrix to determine what is important and urgent. (22:56) Execute: Once the plan is in place, executing and working towards accomplishing the tasks is important. This step focuses on acting and following through with the plan. (26:16) Measure: The final step is to measure the progress and effectiveness of the tasks. This includes evaluating whether the tasks were successfully completed and adjusting if needed. (38:08) You can follow Mark on Twitter @sattymark or at his website at marksatterfield.blog. BEST QUOTES "The reduction of insignificant tasks and clutter in physical and digital spaces also leads to greater efficiency in work." – Mark Satterfield "The evaluation and elimination of insignificant tasks should be a constant habit for leaders." – Mark Satterfield “One of the craziest things that can take place in the leader's life is working on things that you accomplish for the day only to walk out and not know that those things really aren't important for your own personal mission or the mission of the church.” – Mark Satterfield “There's work that we're doing that technically shouldn't be our work, you should be delegating it to others because it's actually their work.” – Mark Satterfield “If you're a leader of an organization and you're trying to think through your measures or evaluate what's getting done, that is only going to be as strong as the vision framework you have for your organization.” – Mark Satterfield “You do not rise to the level of your goals; you fall to the level of your systems.” – James Clear RECOMMENDED RESOURCES Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown Building a Second Brain: A Proven Method to Organize Your Digital Life and Unlock Your Creative Potential by Tiago Forte At Your Best: How to Get Time, Energy, and Priorities Working in Your Favor by Carey Nieuwhof Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear High-Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way by Brendon Burchard The Compound Effect: Jumpstart Your Income, Your Life, Your Success by Darren Hardy

This week we're talking about the adulterous Alex Jones of apostolic Christian infamy, Greg Locke. If you're not familiar with Ol' Greg, he's the pastor of Global Vision Bible Church in Mount Juliet, TN. It's a fairly small church that Locke has whittled down into a core group of followers that have stuck by his side in spite of his public affair and subsequent marriage to his administrative assistant and ex-wife's best friend, his frequent, literal witch hunts within the congregation (oh yeah, he believes in witches and warlocks), and his shameless self-promotion as he ascends through the ranks of Evangelical internet firebrands. Greg has garnered national attention over the years for his angry, ugly, and outright insane sermons, but in the past few months, he's made a few public statements that seem out of character. He recently issued an apology (if you want to call it that) for his “meanness,” and deleted most of his sermons and vlogs that have attracted so much attention to him. In addition, he recently released a documentary called “Come Out in Jesus Name,” which follows himself and a group of pastors as they cast demons out of other Christians. Everything involving this guy is nuts, and we had to talk about him!

You constantly don't have to chase it. Hi, I'm Mike Webmaster Real Estate Marketing Dave and this podcast is all about building a strong personal brand. People have come to know, like trust and most importantly, refer. But remember, it is not their job to remember what you do for a living. It's your job to remind them.00:01:28:23 - 00:01:37:23UnknownLet's get started.00:01:41:03 - 00:01:58:20UnknownWhat's up? Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the episode of the Real Estate Marketing Dude Podcast. Folks we're going to be chatting about today is and I'm basically going to dedicate the rest of this year to is being different, standing out, getting ahead, doing things differently. You're going to have to work a little bit harder in this type of marketplace.00:01:58:20 - 00:02:16:02UnknownAnd because of that, I mean, you're going to do things that you probably weren't used to doing. And when the market shifts, you have to shift with it. The ones who will stay and remain complacent are the ones who get their ass kicked in times like these. But on the flip side of that, I don't mean to be all doom and gloom because there's nothing but opportunity in shifts like this as well.00:02:16:02 - 00:02:32:21UnknownAt the same time. And it's only during a shift that you really build share market share, you build brand, you build huge opportunity because the shifts are when businesses are made really it's very hard to get ahead when everything is going well and everyone else is crushing it around you. But it's very easy to get ahead when nobody else is.00:02:33:02 - 00:02:50:19UnknownBut you need to know where that opportunity is going to be at so we're going to, you know, going forward, this is the second half of the year in 2014 and dedicate the rest of the year to sort of just standing out better serving. How do you become a better agent, a better lender? Why should people shoot, you know, choose, use what makes your shit not stink?00:02:51:12 - 00:03:10:20UnknownWhy are you the bottom? Why do people need to call you like that's a week? That's that. That's what we want to chat about. So I'm bringing on a past client friend, known him for a couple of years and he's a mortgage broker right now and you know, obviously mortgage brokerage business is down across the board. Right. So, however, he didn't stop.00:03:10:20 - 00:03:30:00UnknownHe kept working harder and harder. And I seen him working on this project that he's been building and whatnot, and I want him to come share his experience. But in short, what we're going to be chatting about today is how do you use education and how does that work within the buying cycle? A lot of times I see a lot of realtors try to create content and they try to create education, but it just falls on deaf ears.00:03:30:00 - 00:03:46:23UnknownIt never really works. They make a video or they make a post. They do it on Facebook and then it dies in the newsfeed and everyone forgot who the fuck they were or what the fuck they talked about. So how do you leverage education to convert, attract and get more business ultimately? So without further ado, let's go ahead and introduce our guest, Mr. Mark Sullivan.00:03:46:23 - 00:04:16:08UnknownWhat's up, Mark? Hey, what's going on? Mike Thanks for having me. Why don't you tell everybody a little bit about who the hell you are, where you at, and what are we going to be talking about today? Yeah, absolutely. My name is Mark Sullivan. I run a mortgage team out of Nashville, Tennessee, licensed in most of the Southeast and eight different states and built my business on the back of educating clients.00:04:16:08 - 00:04:43:23UnknownRight. Making sure that my clients, my clients stuck with me because of the education that I provide and the value that that I provide to my clients. So tell me about you. Obviously, you do a lot with real estate agents, I'm assuming. Right. So you work with a lot of real estate agents and I've never really it's crazy because we create a lot of videos, guys.00:04:43:23 - 00:05:00:16UnknownWe've done over 4000 videos like a scene every type of video could possibly create about real estate in space. And I can tell you that when you're creating videos on education, they're usually the least engaged pieces of content that you'll create, right? So if I create a video on the home buying process, I might get like ten views on that thing, right?00:05:00:22 - 00:05:22:04UnknownBut if I create a video about me dancing in a in an elf outfit at a listing, I'm going to get like 30 500,000 views on that video. But why is there a difference in content and it's not that one's bad or the other, it's just on you need to know. On how to use the content. Some of the most important content that you guys should have and everyone should have is education about why the fuck you're an expert?00:05:22:11 - 00:05:44:24UnknownLike Who the fuck are you and why should I let you tell me what to do on the largest investment of my house or in my lifetime in educational content is what we call core content. Core content is there. Everyone needs it. You have to have you imagine a hotel not having pictures of their pool and it's a resort online, right?00:05:45:00 - 00:06:05:16UnknownYeah, right. Exactly. No entities. That is their core content. Right. And you got to look at like from any other business, it's just go around other businesses just so you guys get in the right mindset because the question I'm going to ask yourself while I'm walking through these examples is if you visited your website, would you fucking hire you seriously, look at your own website and be like, Dude, would you would I hire myself?00:06:05:16 - 00:06:26:22UnknownLike, Seriously, what are my site actually tells people I'm an expert and why should they trust me? Because I'm a realtor. No one cares, right? That's where education comes in. So although it isn't like the most sexy type of content to create, it's the stuff you use over and over again with every single client. No one cares that your license, only one cares.00:06:26:22 - 00:06:46:24UnknownIs that your what you could do with the license? So how are you using education in your process? Like obviously you're more on the buy side, but talk to me about that. What do you do education wise? How do you leverage education to enhance the experience? But more importantly, make realtors look like freaking badasses because that's ultimately like your secret sauce, right?00:06:47:14 - 00:07:14:16UnknownRight. Right, exactly. And the difference I think the difference between the two videos, you know, the examples that you gave was the video's for entertainment purposes. Right. And the the education the education is more targeted. Right. You're shooting for a specific person that you're talking to and you're a specific audience that you're targeting things to. And so what we try to do is we find we find people where they're at in the process.00:07:14:16 - 00:07:36:22UnknownAnd when you have a whole when you have a whole learning center or a whole library of educate, then it doesn't matter where I find that person, I know where to place them. Right. If they if they're a renter, I know. I know to put education in front of them, that will make them a first time homebuyer if if their objection is that they have a low credit score.00:07:37:05 - 00:07:58:00UnknownI've got tons of credit score education material that I can put in front of these people. And, you know, they can consume at their own at their own pace and and start fixing their credit score. Right. If somebody comes up to me and says, you know, I get introduce somebody, hey, Mark's in the mortgage business. I'm like, Oh, yeah, I just bought a house for four months ago.00:07:58:00 - 00:08:17:01UnknownRight? That's that's like the ultimate thing for anybody to tell you, because they know that, you know, I'm not going to try to start selling them a mortgage or a real estate agent isn't going to start selling them a house because they just bought one. Right. That they're in the safe zone. But I go, okay, that's great. Hey, my clients, whenever my clients close, I always give them a gift.00:08:17:11 - 00:08:42:18UnknownAnd this gift is the homeowner handbook and it's a learning center. And half of it, not half of it, but a lot of it is based around being a great homeowner. I'd like to give this to you. Right. And that's that's usually where I leave it. But I hand that to them. I sign them up. They get a whole bunch of great value home maintenance videos about how to be an awesome homeowner and how to maintain their home.00:08:42:23 - 00:09:03:04UnknownAnd at least instead of saying, Oh, great, congratulations on closing your house four months ago, now I'm going to be in front of that person educating them on how to be a homeowner so that whenever I guess in the mortgage world, whenever the rates go down, they've already been been listening to me or whenever they're ready to buy a new house that they know that they need to come to me for a preapproval.00:09:04:15 - 00:09:25:12UnknownIt's a powerful thing because we all know that there's NAR stats out there that say that, you know, 87% of people say that they'll use their real estate agent again, but only 27% of them actually do the right thing. It's even less than that. Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy. Yeah, it's crazy. It's crazy because there's no power. All right.00:09:25:12 - 00:09:49:03UnknownSo well, I think the main point that the main point that I try to drive home is that when you have a robust learning center or I have a library of education, that there's nobody that you can meet out there that you can't slide into your environment and start educating them. If it's not right now for the future, yes, love it.00:09:50:02 - 00:10:10:18UnknownHere's what happens realistically. Like no one hears from anyone after they close. And like, it's funny because, you know, when you especially on the buy side, like your work or the client, you almost become friends with them. Like you have intimate conversations in the car, you're laughing together and whatnot. They're emotional, especially when there's like a couple. I mean, I used to go out to dinner with all my clients.00:10:10:18 - 00:10:24:16UnknownI was like sort of my secret. I would get them drunk and I'm like, they're you can ever cheat on me with anyone else. They're going to close all up. They're going all the way to the closing table. But that was I built a relationship. We go out to dinner, I would invest 3 to $400 per client just through dinners and whatnot.00:10:24:23 - 00:10:43:17UnknownAnd I did that strategically because I wasn't in it for their direct business. I was in it for the referral business because every single person they know they can refer me to. And that client experience is like what we're sort of talking about here. But Mark's taking it to a new level. What he's saying is like, All right, great, let's not only use education within the client like service.00:10:43:17 - 00:11:09:22UnknownThat's how everybody uses it, right? But how do we stay in front of them and continue to add value without being a douchey real estate agent saying, Hey, do you got a referral for me? Hey, do you have a referral for me? Hey, do you have referrals from me? Oh, don't forget, I'm in real estate. Hey, by the way, you get the latest market update, real estate market news, you can't if you guys just talk about real estate and buying and selling and self-serving interest with your database, they're going to tune you out because no one wants to talk about real estate listing in the market to buy it.00:11:10:08 - 00:11:32:00UnknownSorry, HGTV does a good enough job for that, so they're going to watch that real estate content over yours any day. So don't try to compete, but doesn't mean you don't stay in touch. How are you doing that? And like, do you have like a frequencies or touch schedule? So if someone closes on a house, you give them your homeowner handbook, they take the homeowner handbook.00:11:32:00 - 00:11:51:13UnknownAnd that's basically like, okay, here's how you save money, I'm guessing on like solar or this, and here's how you do this and here's how you do that and so on and so on. Yeah, sure. So the people that are going into the closing table, it all depends on how they enter the handbook. So we have the the homeowner handbook is a learning center.00:11:51:13 - 00:12:12:12UnknownIt's a library of videos and it also comes with a CRM, right? So it depends on when they enter the handbook whether if they entered as a first time homebuyer, they're going to they're going to start a campaign. We're going to start a campaign for them. That's going to just talk about homebuying. It's going to talk about being prepared for financing.00:12:12:18 - 00:12:33:19UnknownIt's going to be talk about things you want to think about when when buying a home, you know, then it's going to talk and it's also going to talk about credit score and things like that. Things you need to do to get ready for us. But if you're if you've just closed, like, say you want to my clients and you know, and or say your, you know, say a friend of mine, you know, that everybody gets right.00:12:33:24 - 00:12:54:01UnknownI just you know, I just saw a Facebook, a friend of mine closed on their house and it didn't use me. Right. So, hey, you know, here's a gift, you know, happy closing day and they get the handbook and they're entering as a homeowner, right? So they're going to enter it as, hey, congratulations. They're not going to get homeownership videos because that doesn't apply to them.00:12:54:06 - 00:13:23:06UnknownBut they're going to get is they're going to get is hey, it's summer. Now here's your list of things you need to do to maintain your home for summer. Right? Here's here's a, you know, here's how to, you know, replace, you know, your your your filter in your dishwasher and things like that where honestly, a majority of the homebuyers, you know, first time homebuyers for sure, that are in their low thirties, most of them have no idea that their dishwasher, even has a has a filter in it.00:13:23:06 - 00:13:41:22UnknownRight. It's little things like that that we're educating them a little bit further. So they're Oh wow. I didn't even think about that before. Yeah, that's a value. It's a value added way to stay in touch. It isn't self-serving. This is how content works. You guys like we're talking about content, education, it's all content. Like we have to create something.00:13:41:22 - 00:13:56:16UnknownYou have to create something to stay in touch, to stay present. Because if you're not somebody else's, I mean, that's just how simple it is. That's that's why those stats go like 80% of people would love to work with you again, but they just forget who you exist, who the hell you are. I mean, that's just the reality of it.00:13:57:00 - 00:14:16:09UnknownYou can never build any type of brand without staying in touch with people, whether it's people you're just friends with their family that haven't transacted with you or the ones you have. It doesn't matter. You have to always be marketing wherever you're at. I like to say ABR always be reminding wherever you're at because you never know where the next deal is going to come from.00:14:18:00 - 00:14:44:10UnknownJust think about from this point of view. There's a reason and we're not telling you anything that no one knows. I'm trying to get out of your head is why aren't you doing this? Because there's not a business in the world that doesn't have an email list. Like I just signed up. I went to visit on a vacation last weekend to Huntington Beach with my family, and Hilton's already sent me like four freaking offers or hi, wherever the fuck I was out, they said I got like four vacation things.00:14:44:11 - 00:14:59:00UnknownI'm like, I'm like, close to pulling the trigger on another one. They're staying in touch with me. I could tell what they did at the hotel last week. I'm like, Oh, cool shit. I wish we had went there this weekend. None of it is self-serving. It's just sort of like value added, right? So and that happens with any business.00:14:59:00 - 00:15:19:21UnknownIf you go to Home Depot, they start sending you coupons because a retailer has a version of value to their customer base as a discount. It's all shit. So what's your value base? What are you going to do? What are you going to give as a real estate agent or a lender? Even when you give give them tips, that's your expertize that positions you as the expert.00:15:19:21 - 00:15:46:04UnknownWhat is it like? How often do people stay in touch? I have like I'm all about staying in touch with people. That's my whole thing. So what are you guys doing? What do you see works best of actual. I you know I think this day and age actual value right it's less about how often unless somebody raised their hand and said, hey, I want to buy right now and then, you know, then you kick it into high gear and trying to stay in touch with somebody.00:15:46:04 - 00:16:13:05UnknownBut I think it's less about how often and how much value you're delivering. Like there's there's only there's only so many checking cash story recipes or happy girl cheese day, you know, kind of emails that you can send out. Like they don't nobody cares about that. But when you send something of value that they've even if they only read it for 15 seconds, you know, they, they decided they stopped what they were doing in their day to read what, what you provided.00:16:13:07 - 00:16:44:05UnknownRight. And I think it's value whether it's whether, you know, twice a week, once a month, I think that matters less. And in the buying cycle, especially the first time homebuyer, you're buying cycles 12, 24 months. Right. It's just that most agents and loan officers don't realize that because we tend to enter the buying cycle on that last 10%, you know, when they're when they're one or two months away and they've been learning for for 12 to 16 months already.00:16:45:06 - 00:17:03:09UnknownSo it's something then that we don't really think about. And honestly, most people are only equipped to provide the value that, you know, that they're equipped of about it. So if I'm a loan officer, I've got financing videos, or if I'm a real estate agent, I've got, you know, things you can do to buy a home videos, right?00:17:03:09 - 00:17:24:07UnknownBut if you team up like we've done here with the handbook and have experts from every sector educating on it, then then you can focus on what you do best and let the other experts that you've partnered with focus on what they do best. And I think it's I think the answer is value for sure. Yeah. That the other option is entertainment.00:17:24:07 - 00:17:38:14UnknownIf you can make people laugh, but reality is most aren't that funny. So that's a that unless you're you know, you've got to have or entertaining content. That's where video comes in and then you've got to get editors and all that stuff. So you got to get one or get a couple other mortgage people all over the country.00:17:38:14 - 00:17:56:17UnknownAnd I can promise you most of us are funny. So there's different categories of content or call it learning centers. I'll give you guys another example. I remember my old website. I know what happened with it, but my server's down. But I had a concept. It was just nothing. But it was a homeowner handbook as a freaking encyclopedia, Chicago real estate.00:17:57:07 - 00:18:15:16UnknownAnd I would just blog and write and write, but I would always repurpose. So I had a page on the site How to sell your house without a realtor. And that whole page was like a course on how to sell your house without a real estate agent. I gave them the local Chicago Association realtor contracts. I gave them the disclosures, I gave them my inspector.00:18:16:12 - 00:18:35:04UnknownI gave them everything to do the job without them, even my photographer, my videographer. And I gave him my whole checklist of everything. We do it marketing wise. So the reason for that is that I'm not scared to share everything and anything. Like I'll share all content. That's my share. I'll give you everything because I know that you need me to fulfill some of it.00:18:35:04 - 00:18:50:17UnknownThat's always been my sales strategy. So when I have a for sale by owner, what would I do? Do you think they want to talk to a real estate agent? Mark No. Yeah, that's why they're for sale by owner, bro. They fucking hate you. They hate you guys. All right, so. But yeah, I would try for some of that.00:18:50:17 - 00:19:08:03UnknownOh, that's fantastic. You know what? I just put a I basically have a gun for sale by owner course on my website. I'm happy to share with you to give you the contracts and all this stuff. I'm going to send it to you and we hang up. And the only thing I want to ask is that if you do have to hire somebody, I would love, you know that to be me or at least give me a shot.00:19:08:03 - 00:19:23:01UnknownBut at the same time, if you're going to sell your house without a realtor, I'd love be the person to show you how. And boom, they're like, What the fuck you say? And then you just you completely mind fuck them because you got to go backwards with it, right? And then they're like, Whoa, so you're not trying to sell me?00:19:23:01 - 00:19:39:16UnknownYou're trying to help me. I can't tell you how many times that works because if you if you really break it down, everyone assumes I'm going to do this, but I do the opposite. And then, boom, I have them. That was my hooker, my attention getter. But I at least had an excuse to stay in touch. I used to argue that people like I'd never would go.00:19:39:18 - 00:20:07:02UnknownWhy would you go after for sale by owner for the listing instead? I'd go after them to buy their next house. And then you should. If you build a relationship that angle, get the listing in a much easier way because you're not coming at it as self-serving interest. So think outside the box you guys like. And the other thing too is that when people have a very good experience with you, they refer you and no differently than you refer restaurant.00:20:07:02 - 00:20:27:24UnknownYou beat that or whatever it is. If they have a shitty experience with you, they don't refer you. They detract business from you because they tell their friends about how bad you are. That happens all the time. What kind of categories of content or would you call it learning centers? Do you see you've named a couple first time homebuyer, so maybe you missed.00:20:28:01 - 00:20:52:02UnknownWe have we have homebuying. We have homebuying which which right now is financing and real estate side income is they work they work together so well that we had a hard time separating that. But we have credit score. We are, I think, most of the most popular part of credit score is we have a seven part video series on the seven misconceptions of credit.00:20:52:10 - 00:21:16:00UnknownRight and home maintenance is the is is in the top three right. And that's that's after you already own the home. These are things you need to know about, you know, yada, yada. We talk about home inspections. Home inspections is one of those things my brother and a co-founder of of the him but is a home inspector and one thing and my dad's a home inspector.00:21:16:00 - 00:21:36:13UnknownSo like like I know I know how important home inspections are. And I think that a lot of people go into the transaction not understanding, you know, anything at all about what that home inspection supposed to do other than they were told by their real estate agent, you need a home inspection, right? You need to get a homosexual.00:21:36:14 - 00:22:03:24UnknownThis kind of breaks down. These are things that you should expect from your home and home inspector. These are things you should expect. The day of this is how to read a report. Right. This is I think the most important thing is this is what you should take away from the report. Right. And these are you know, these are all things that I think if if your client was more educated about the home inspection process, I think it makes all I think it makes the whole process less stressful, right?00:22:03:24 - 00:22:26:22UnknownYeah. Because I mean, anything anything that you do, you're more you're more stressed about things you don't know that are approaching than things you are a little more educated on that are approaching. Right. I mean, if you take a if you take an hour drive to someplace, you've never been that out. That drive there seems like three times longer than that.00:22:26:22 - 00:22:49:02UnknownOur drive back, because you're you're going over a road that you've already traveled now and there's less of the in your mind going, okay, what's going to happen next? What, you know, where am I going? And unfortunately, that's where that's where a lot of home buyers and that's how a lot of homebuyers navigate the homebuying process. And they're like, where am I going?00:22:49:02 - 00:23:16:02UnknownYou know, we also have an insurance module where it just kind of breaks down. It kind of breaks down homeowner's insurance. We're going to expand that a little bit more. But obviously, that's what's important in the homebuying process. And and a refinance process or homeownership process. So just knowing honestly, I don't know a ton I didn't know a ton about my first homeowner's insurance policy.00:23:16:02 - 00:23:43:10UnknownRight. It just so much numbers your coverage you're covered for $500,000 of this, you know, $300,000 of this. But you don't know what any of that's going to. And this kind of helps break that down so that, you know, to go to your agent and ask the right questions that I think a lot of times during the process, people just go for the lowest quote always and then they find out like we had in Nashville, we had tornadoes come through.00:23:43:10 - 00:24:07:19UnknownThey had I don't know, is it five or six years ago? And it just leveled leveled sections of a town called Mount Juliet. And we had people I had a few clients that bought a house, had their house completely, completely leveled. Two different clients. One had the house completely rebuilt. That ended up being worth $150,000 more than the house that they bought.00:24:08:04 - 00:24:33:02UnknownAnd another one barely was able. They had to come out of pocket, and it was a struggle for them to even begin rebuilding that house. And there was it was the same storm, two different insurance companies and two different insurance policies. It has a completely different experience because one was prepared and one wasn't. Yeah. Yep. And so that's basically the gist.00:24:33:06 - 00:24:54:21UnknownWe have a title module as well. The title module is just mainly to say what is title insurance? Because I bet 80% of the people listening to your podcast right now, even though they're loan officers and real estate agents, really have no clue what title insurance is. So it goes through that, Hey, what's the role of the title company?00:24:54:21 - 00:25:13:08UnknownWhat are they going to do? What do you expect when you when you when you hear from them and and things like that? Some of these modules, people aren't even going to open, right. Unless they're really dedicated to knowing everything about the process. Right. But the fact that it's there is the important aspect of things in my opinion.00:25:13:18 - 00:25:31:23UnknownWell, yeah, it's most and no one will remember. Like even when they see it, they'll just remember that you have it. So it's like if you have two different people and you have one person who has all of this, like collateral call it, and one person that just shows up and they have like a their outfit on and a good smile and you walk away and they give it to Bolton.00:25:31:23 - 00:25:51:02UnknownIt's about making that impression. So, yes, 100%. It's about the and the consumer experience and then the educating them on the process. But the touch points along the way are what are very key because I'm I think the whole damn business is about experience, consumer experience, because those are all selling the same shit, like everyone has the same products and services.00:25:51:12 - 00:26:10:13UnknownThe only difference between all of us is, okay, how is that person delivering those products and services right now? That's why we have owner advocate, for example, we have multiple seller options where we're talking a lot on the buy side. But, you know, we have a process we call owner advocate and on the sell side of that, we give them six or seven different ways to sell their properties.00:26:10:24 - 00:26:29:23UnknownSo very same concept just through education and all that is how we're converting and attracting seller leads. So but here's the point, though. This is your opportune idea to do something different if you don't have your own. Like if you don't have content that shows people you're the expert, then are you really the expert? As my whole combatant?00:26:29:23 - 00:26:51:12UnknownAnd then why don't you have that content? We used to do these. We're not doing them anymore. But there's many people you could hire or services like Marks has a service can that you guys can utilize with the homeowner handbook. But there's no excuse to not have this shit. Like these are basic sales tools you're not having. Your education is like a restaurant, not having a recipe that they cook every single day.00:26:51:19 - 00:27:16:07UnknownSame damn thing. Mark, any closing thoughts on here? And we'll get this wrapped up. Yeah, a few one. I'll take a I guess I'll take a page out of your I'll take a page out of your handbook and you know, say that, you know, whenever you're talking about your sphere of influence and you're talking about like 10% of people that you know are going to move this year.00:27:16:14 - 00:27:42:22UnknownRight. And the important thing is 10% of the people that they know that your friends know are going to move this year. Right. So it's all about controlling that sphere of influence. Don't if you put yourself where you're just self-serving. Right. And you're just salesy, salesy sales that nobody wants to refer to that it. Right. Because when when it's when it's friend, a friend, they want to help, right?00:27:42:22 - 00:28:05:05UnknownThey want to lead with a helping hand. So friend a, you know, your friend Cody wants to help his friend John buy a house or wants to help, but he didn't. But Cody doesn't know anything about home buying, but he's. He's in the homeowner handbook, so you can say, Hey, let me share this with you and I'll give you a bunch of education that will help you at least, you know, start to navigate what you're looking for.00:28:05:07 - 00:28:26:19UnknownRight? That's something that a friend would love to share with another friend and help get you down that path we offer for those. There's a lot of people in our industry that are afraid of a video camera. I shouldn't say afraid. They just don't want to do it. That's not part of that's not they haven't they haven't devoted that part to their business plan.00:28:26:19 - 00:28:50:08UnknownThat's that's fine.  https://toddcoconato.com/https://www.youtube.com/c/ToddCoconatohttps://globalvisionbc.com/  Gary Duncan  1:43  I just ran across Todd coconut, excuse me, one of my previous guests on the podcast and just wanted to get his input on what he's seen so far at this conference, Todd, thanks for, Unknown Speaker  1:53  hey, it's good to be with you, man. It's so good to be here in person with you. And honestly, you can't see me right now, if you're listening online, but I'm weeping. Because I was just telling Gary, you know, there's a lot of people that just say, America's done, give up, you know, contract into your cave and just kind of wait for the rapture, you know, but what we're seeing is the Lord is moving in city upon city upon city, altars are filled beaches, people are getting baptized and beaches. I saw it in California, I saw it in Washington, we're going back to Idaho, and a week, we were just in Myrtle Beach. I mean, I can't even remember all the places you know. And so I just want to encourage anybody that's listening, I really believe we needed to get to this place as a nation and as a church, because we were complacent. And we were, for about 30 years, we really have kind of lost our way, as a body. I'm not saying that there wasn't people that were getting saved, or God wasn't moving. But I feel like we kind of got into the, into the weeds and into celebrity Christianity and into apathy and complacency. So God is allowing this shaking, which is difficult to go through. Because, you know, we see the political environment, we see a lot of egregious things. But I really believe that what's birthing from this is people are drawing nearer to God, that's what tends to happen in times of challenges that people draw near to God. And it's unfortunate. I remember in 911, the churches were full, you know, and then all of a sudden, it started weaning off and people kind of went back to normal and, you know, but But what is normal? Is the question, you know, it was normal before COVID. Was that normal? Or, you know, was that the best that we could be? I really feel like God is saying, Look, I'm coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle. And he's coming back for the church of Philadelphia, not the church of lead if he doesn't want to compromise Church, the Bible says a little leaven leavens the whole lump. And he says that if you're lukewarm, he's going to spit you out. So this is really a moment of decision for us all. It's a time for us to draw closer to the Lord. There was a great sermon by my friend Malika O'Brien this morning. He was talking about fasting and praying and going deeper, and he was really emphasizing, I really agree with him. It's not about how many followers we have, or, you know, us getting a platform or us having a big ministry. This is a time to really Chuck Close, and hunger and thirst for righteousness and cry out to God. And the Bible says those who call upon the name of Lord shall be saved will be saved. And so that's what I believe God wants for us as a church is to cry out to Him to be a repentant people to be a people that hunger and thirst for righteousness, that that'd be a people that truly draw near and call upon his name and pray and fast, seek His face. And so if we do that, I believe God is going to respond if it responds to the prayers of the righteous. That's what the word of God says the faithful, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. And I really believe that this is a Second Chronicles 714 moment I believe, we have a decision to make. We still have a country we still have our freedoms for the most part. Like I mentioned, there's some very egregious things happening but hey, Roe v. Wade was just overturned all of a sudden You saw the Georgia Guidestones come down in a day to some people, that's not a big deal. But hey, come down in a day. You know, there's things that are happening. And I really believe this is a time of big faith. And so it's not a time to go into our cave and wait to be raptured out. This is a time to occupy until he comes to stand on the promise of God, which is yes and amen. hope in the future, to remember what the Word of God says, the faithful for repair the faithful servant, but what does that look like? Faithful fervent prayer all in? You know, and I think that he's also really making us take a, you know, a check on our own heart and saying is my heart in the right place hasn't been in the right place? Can I go deeper? Well, certainly we can. You know, I had an opportunity to meet Billy Graham before he passed. And I remember something he said very distinctively. But even in his very senior years in the ministry, he said, I'm ever the child in Christ, I'm always growing. And that really impacted me because we always have to be growing, we always have to be saying, Lord, what can I do to you know, have another layer peeled away? How can I go deeper in in you, Lord, I want to be in your presence. And, and just, you know, there's so many different things, and I'll just, I'll share this, Gary, you know, this is kind of crazy, but it's a true story. Last August, I was sleeping, and I have a little daughter, and she was in our bed, you know, and my wife was sleeping, and she was sleeping. And I think it was a dream. But I saw an angel. It was so real. And I would you know the first thing the Bible says every time that there is an angel and angelic experience, the people are paralyzed with fear. And that's what first came over. I was like, Oh, my gosh. And then I realized, no, this is not a demon. It's something holy, it's an angel. So then I was okay. And it just said two things, to me, it said, be consecrated, and come out from among them, be consecrated and come out from among them. Now, I've been a pastor for over 20 years, I've been in the ministry many, many years. And so I'm thinking myself, you know, I need to get more consecrated, you know, what do you mean, come out from among them, you know, and that was last August. So there's a whole year ago, and this last year, God has just been taking me deeper, and I've really been inquiring what what did that mean? Now? You know, I woke up from that, and I wasn't, you know, I think I woke up. I mean, it was so real, it might have been just happening. I was like, half asleep, but it was so real. But then, after that happened, I was just like, I couldn't go back to sleep. So I went into my prayer room, and I'm just sitting there for hours until it got morning. And then it's just, you know, ever since then I've been thinking about it. And those two things come out from among them and be consecrated. You know, we've been trying to live in this Babylon system, we've been trying to stay on these social media platforms that censor us now, you know, all these different things that we do in our culture, we've been trying to be like the culture, instead of being the head and not the tail, we've been trying to be, you know, approved by the culture instead of leading the culture. And so I really believe what God wants to bless is to come out from that Babylon system, the entirety of it, and to end it be the head and not the tail to be the church, and then to be consecrated me set apart. You know, stop with the compromise and and this is all of us, I'm preaching to myself. Stop with the compromise because look at look at the world right now. The world needs Jesus, we have the answer. Jesus is real. This is reality. This is the reality of the situation the spirit the spirit of Gary Duncan  8:11  the spirit of religion, yes, it's destroyed the church Come on, and and what I've heard from different people, and just what we do with these young people today, we, we we prayed for them, we're concentrating them to go out and be the, the voice. And it's, it's the, the no names that are out there. You know, people about, you know, a guy that just thinks he's gonna start a podcast just to get the word out. Just anybody. It doesn't have to come through straight from the top from the pastor's, right? Because 2020 to me was a wake up call to the church. And you and we see how well that woke pastors up it didn't. It didn't. The people in the pews are going, what are you doing? Can you not see this? And so we've got to have a heart for the special we got to pray for these pastors to begin to see the light to see the growth, like Pastor block was saying his church knew about deliverance for he did. And he's preaching. Unknown Speaker  9:12  This was a bap and I'm, you know, Greg's my friend. I mean, literally, he was a Baptist preacher. He didn't even know about some of the gifts of the Spirit and the Lord just let him misdirection. Why, because he'd been seeking the heart to God, spending time in the secret place. And now we're looking at a temple of like, 3000 people that are crying out to God, the altar is filled with young people. And this is Greg would say this, this is not about him to sign smears, right. It's just simply about standing and saying yes to the Lord. And yes, his spirit. None of us are perfect. None of us have it all figured out. But we need wait. Like you said, Gary, we've got to stand. We've got to, we've got to fight. We've got to we can't. We have to understand the God that we serve. We have to understand that we can tap into the power of His Holy Spirit, and we can take back this territory to the kingdom to God. So don't give up don't grow weary in doing good Use this time to go deeper. Get into the Word of God. Hide it in your heart, declare and decree telling you and start praying. If your family needs prayer, start praying for your loved ones, start praying for your friends, and trust God that he's going to do a miracle. I was a messed up person in Hollywood, when I was younger, I was a child actor, I got stabbed nine times. And when the presence of the Lord, it was my Damascus road, but God has done a miracle in each and every one of our lives every day that we get up as a miracle. Every day that we breathe is a miracle. If you've had a child, that's a miracle, I mean, the fact that we have a roof over our head, we have food on the table, we are blessed people. And so I really believe that God is waiting for us to show up and to say, use me like the prophet Isaiah, send me. And once we do that, I'm telling you, it's limitless. Like you said, he's using the hidden remnant people for a time is this It's amazing. Gary Duncan  10:51  Yeah. And don't be afraid of it. The available God is walking around this earth looking for those he can use, and the devil is to. And that's what we need to be awake to the devil is around walking around this world looking for those who can destroy control. This deliverance conference is a start for the awakening of a church to attack. We've been so long we've not attacked, we've been, like you said, Churchill love this. Love to see, you know, we're just lukewarm. And it's time for a fire to come about. And I think one of the things in here Mount Juliet start, you know, start and through this and, and thank you for what you do on your podcast and your organization. And just preaching the Word. I mean, just one thing I liked about you, where you would constantly talk about the secret place and being intimate with the Lord, because that's the first start, that's the first place you got to go. And that's honestly, for those that aren't aware of that, for me, that is the hardest, most dangerous place. The devil wants me here. And so he does everything hooked crook, still keel to keep me out of that falls in my house, to pray. And so for those that are listening, if you have a place, you don't have a place, find a place and get in it. And I'm preaching to myself, like you say, you know, because that's the key. None of it matters. If that's not the first place. Unknown Speaker  12:16  If you have that, you know, it's like any relationship, you know, if I were to neglect my wife, I mean, I go on the road a lot. I try to bring her with me everywhere, because you know, I don't want to neglect you, I want to have a good relationship. I want to be in community and I want to be you know, we're one before the Lord. And so it's the same thing we've got, we can't neglect that relationship. We want to not just, you know, go like Santa, you know, hey, I want this, I want that, you know, wish list. We want to hear what God's saying to us. We, you know, My sheep hear my voice. And he'll speak to you, if you listen, you know, and some people say, Well, I can't hear the Lord, stay in that secret place until you do, he will speak. He will speak, I'm telling you, there's times when I sit there and they say, I don't hear anything. And then I get on my face, I start putting out worship music. And I start crying out and weeping. Also, the word starts moving. Get into the word heal speaker, the word of God. fresh revelation, Gary Duncan  13:05  let me ask you one last tough question. What is what is a father, a husband, or a wife? When there's this unity, because of because of what we've gone through. What can a man or woman do whichever side their own, where the other spouse may not be 100% on board, the man or woman has has failed in many attempts, not praying for the wife not praying for the children and fighting his own battles or his or her own battles? What what? You know, it's easy to say go getting your claws, right? Yeah. But there's so much out there. keeping everyone from doing that. Is there something you can say that just kind of helps, you know, the Holy Spirit is gonna move. But sometimes it's just constant long term, you're walking through the valley of the shadow. And you just gotta keep having faith, keep having faith, keep having faith? Don't give up. Right. Unknown Speaker  14:09  Such a good question. You know, I think there's more people in this position than we realize, because a lot of people don't say publicly what they're going through. You know, I hear this almost every day. And I went to the Lord about this. Now, my wife, you know, she pretty much is on the same page. But you know, there's some things that maybe we once in a while, don't agree on. But for the most part, she is but for a while, she wasn't and I had to pray it through. And I'm a preacher, I'm an evangelist. But here's the thing about that. The Lord when I was going into the prayer about this, and I finally heard the Spirit speak, and he said, you can be one of two people in this relationship. You can be the person that's not hearing from me or you can be the person that's hearing from me. He says which one you want to be? I said, Well, I want to be the person that hears from you. He says, Well, okay, then you're in the better position. So then you your job is to pray. Because if you're the one that's asleep, and the other one's awake, well then the other ones praying for you. So that's the thing is Our job is to be an intercessor. And to war for our family to war for Our Children of War for our spouse, we can't just give up. Listen, when you have the breakthrough, you go into such another level of depth. And you realize, like, you know what, I fight for all these different things I fight to, you know, people fight for everything and like to have a good job to, you know, make good money. Why don't we fight for our family? Why don't we fight for our spouse, you know, we have to. And so and when you do that, the Lord response, like you said, they'll give you might not be right away, but just be faithful, and show them. They're watching you. They're watching your actions. And sometimes you don't realize it. But you know, the word of God has not returned back boy, you know, I'm saying, and so there's, you're always moving the needle, as long as you're staying in the right mindset, and you're in the Spirit. And so that's the key. We can't control any other person, but we can control ourselves. And so that's where the, it's a fruit of the Spirit, self control. So if you walk in that fruit of the Spirit, the Bible says, you know them by their fruit, what happens is other people respond. There's a Greek word, it's called at bolo. It's kind of a funny word at bolo. And it's what it means. And this many times in the Bible. In fact, when you, when we're commissioned, go and make disciples go, go out, cast out, drive out, that's what that Greek word means go out, cast out, drive out. What that means is that when we come into the room, and we're filled with the Spirit of God, we've spent time in prayer, we have an active prayer life. And you know, we fasted all these different things. What happens is literally the atmosphere shifts, it changes. And that's our mission as Christians right now in this place. That's why we can't retract. Because if we go out, and we cast out and we drive out, that's how we take back the territory. And sometimes our biggest ministry is right there in the house. So you know, I look, I could go all over the country and see, you know, many, many people saved and set free him delivered. But if I can't do that mountain family, then what's the problem? Right, so, you know, hang in there. Don't be discouraged. That's the biggest thing the devil wants to use. I'll give you a little one of my hidden secrets here. Go on to YouTube and put in David Wilkerson. Oh, yeah. Okay, and listen to some good David Wilkerson sermon and Carter Conley, oh, my gosh, you know, and you'll get fired up because that man, he was really ahead of his time. And I feel like a lot of things that he said were for this hour, and he gets it. And so you know, just just feel yourself a beat your soul, and then go into that prayed up and watch what God does in your family. I've seen it with spouses, Millie. I mean, not millions, but 1000s of times in the ministry over the years, I've seen it with kids that people thought would never come down. In fact, we just have one this week, that girl was totally messed up, you know, sleeping around drugs, alcohol, that the mom would have thought it never would have changed. And now she's a preacher, man, I'm telling you, within a month, something shifted in her life. And that was the prayer of the righteous. And so it happens sometimes suddenly, but hang in there. Don't give up. Don't grow weary. Know that people are praying with you. Get intercessors on your team, find like minded individuals, and partner with them in prayer and watch what God does. Gary Duncan  17:58  Great. Thank you so much. It's been a pleasure. Yes, sir. We must stand Christian values and not allow the devil and his minions to be the leaders of the narrative that we are to live by. Let's take a listen to the conversation. Alright, I'm here with Cheryl Chumley. And thank you, Cheryl, for being on the podcast today. Unknown Speaker  1:51  Thank you so much for having me. It's great to be with you. Gary Duncan  1:55  I have been I guess I've changed out last couple of days on your podcast. You've got a podcast called Bold and blonde as I talked about in the your bio. And your most recent one just you just put out I think yesterday or today where you interviewed Jack Hibbs. Oh, wow. I mean, that was that is so on par. I mean, it's like on target for where we're at right now. And, you know, you've also got a book coming out that's come out, it's called lockdown the socialist plan to take away your, our freedoms or your freedom. And so let's talk about both of those today. And really, from a standpoint of where is the church, because I'm telling you 2020 changed my world. It rocked my world about you know, where the church is at, you know, the body of Christ, but mainly the leaders in our body of Christ and how they just totally missed it. And the Prophet to me, the prophets missed it. They were so focused on Trump, they missed what was coming. And so here we are two years later from all that, and kind of get into a little bit of of, you know, what you talked about with Jack, but then we can talk more about the book and how the lock downs that we went through, really play a part in what's coming, because I want to know what's coming. Unknown Speaker  3:16  Well, to answer to answer the topic of discussion with Pastor Hibbs, he's a repeat guests. This is the second maybe even No, it's the third time I had him on. And this time we talked about his most recent book, countdown and prophecy, looking at where America stands. And most Bible scholars will tell you that America is not mentioned in times. And so what does that mean? So so we had a discussion along those lines and to get to your point about the churches and where the churches stand in America. Now. I gotta tell you that I spent over two years at the Washington Times covering almost exclusively Well, at least every day I had a piece on the government's overreach with the Coronavirus. The government's exploit exploiting of Americans fears to justify shutdowns and clamp downs on liberties due to the Coronavirus and none of that shocked me. None of what the government did shocked me right, except when the churches were targeted, and not that the churches were targeted. But when the churches actually bowed down to government mandates, because you have to remember, all these losses of liberty came by way of dictates issued, but under health emergency declarations, nothing was done by legislative, duly elected officials. Nothing was done transparent and open. The regular legislative route. No laws were passed justifying what the government did. And so when churches bent the knee and actually shut their doors based on government dictates I was astonished because In a country that is built on the principle of rights coming from God, and government, government only being there to protect those rights, you have to have a thriving church community. And when the churches shut their doors at the times when most Americans needed the churches to when the churches did that, that just showed me. Wow, the left has really taken a hold of America. Gary Duncan  5:23  Now, did you on the was it 14 days to curb or seven days to curve? You know, Unknown Speaker  5:30  were you weeks, two weeks to flatten the curve? Gary Duncan  5:33  Were you okay with that? Or was that like, well, let's just kind of find out where we're at with what's going on, or did you automatically know from day one, this is a rouge? Unknown Speaker  5:44  Yeah, I, I honestly, I wasn't on board with the two weeks to flatten the curve. I really wasn't. And I say that even knowing that that came under Donald Trump's presidency and I am a big fan of Donald Trump love what he did for America. Hope he runs again and wins again. But at the same time, he it was under his presidency, that Anthony Fauci, Deborah Birx, were allowed to take over the White House platform and basically issue policy all the while claiming they weren't issuing policy. So I did not. I did not like the two week shutdown that came under President Trump. At the same time. I think President Trump everything he did under the Coronavirus was done out of love for America and concern for American citizens. Unlike when the Democrats ran with the Coronavirus to justify clamp downs, everything they did was done out of self interest out of political ambition. Gary Duncan  6:49  Why one? Do you think that the churches or the leadership did not kind of see through what was going on, especially when, like you saying I'm thinking in the book is, is they allowed mass protests, they kept the abortion clinics open. They you know, Home Depot and Lowe's were were wide open while little mom and pops were shut down. Just I mean, it was all around us. I mean, I was seeing this stuff. And I had some guys down the road that have a little small store. And they were complaining that, you know, the small nurseries couldn't opened up. So everybody went to Home Depot and Lowe's and got their plant. I mean, because it was like planting season it was in April, and everybody's putting out their tomato plants and everything. And these guys are like this is so wrong. It's so wrong that, you know, the big stores could stay open, and the small mom and pops were being destroyed. But the judges were just totally ignorant to the whole thing. Unknown Speaker  7:47  Well, it was a power grab pure and simple. And we know this is true, because if the science were there, there wouldn't have been that many hypocrisy ease and there wouldn't have been that many disparities in how the science was applied. So it became this political weapon in the hands of the Democrats, they for the most part, they could choose which businesses they could keep open in which businesses they wanted to shut. And usually you had things like churches being told they had to close because entertainment venues had to close. And yet marijuana dispensaries and liquor stores could stay open. And that's exactly what Governor Gavin Newsom did in California, until the point where he lost in court and they had to allow churches to open then he turned around and trying dit and tried to dictate that, yes, churches could be open, but you couldn't sing in church. So this was a strategic design of the left to exercise their power and control. And some in the left, some of the Democrat Party did it just because they were born along with that same fear. And they they actually thought that they were doing what the science was telling them to do. And they saw nothing wrong in science that kept flipping day by day. Right? They were they were ignorant, to put it bluntly, but many of the Democrats were just politically ambitious. And they were looking down the road, that if they did not play along with what the bureaucrats in Washington, DC were telling them to do, that their political futures would come to an end. Gary Duncan  9:27  Right. And a lot of what you're saying is political. And here's here's the rub for me is that I've gotten pushback so many times, from people around me that well, and from the pulpit, you know, we're just not political. We're not gonna get into that, you know, church is not about that. And it's like, we're where we're at, because we have not been a part of the culture and we have not been in government. And and it's like, I don't, I don't know how we can get the leadership of the church to understand where we're at. I mean, we've been through a lot knocked down. I mean, you would think at that point through 2020, that a lot of them would wake up, but unfortunately, I feel like a lot of them are still asleep. What we're gonna do? Unknown Speaker  10:13  Well, I think I think God's got that under his control, you know, he's winnowing out those churches that are weak. And you know, we I had this discussion with Pastor Jack just a couple days ago on my podcast about how his church is actually thriving, because so many churches out in California shut down cave to government demands. And then even when they opened, they wanted to do social justice type things. They had signs out front, he told me about Black Lives Matter and other social justice agenda programs at the far left. And so those churches, according to him are struggling now to stay financially afloat. And yet his church has grown under this this two plus years coming out of it of Coronavirus, clampdowns because people are starving for the truth. They've been confused. They've been deceived for way too long now by the government by those that are supposed to protect them, including our medical bureaucrats. And so they're looking for a higher truth. And I think when you see these churches around the nation, that bow down to government and that now want to come out of the two years of clamp downs from the Coronavirus and pretend like, oh, they never bowed down or pretend that they need to take a softer stance when it comes to politics that that is their takeaway from the last couple of years. I think God is doing a, you know, a little winnowing of churches. And he's he's separating, you know, the churches that will stand strong for him versus the churches that are more concerned with the things of the secular world, meaning man's opinion. Gary Duncan  11:57  Yeah, and keeping the pulpits full. Yeah. There's a church here in town or in Mount Juliet, NEERA. Sigrid, the pastor Greg Locke, he's, he's, I don't you've probably seen him or heard about him through Fox News. And some of the things he gets, he gets pretty fiery. He's a church of God guy. But I mean, you people are like, Oh, you're so political. But he doesn't back down from any of this. And his churches exploded. He started out with a tent. It's, you know, small tent out of the building, because they were filling it up. And now they've got this huge, just like a football field. It's huge. It's like, I think four or 5000 people a week come in to his arm into his church, and so they're hungry for the truth. And not just some, I love how Pastor he was saying on there about just sermon ads. You know, the days of sermon ads is over. It's time for the hardcore truth. Unknown Speaker  12:54  Yeah. Oh, go ahead. You know, that doesn't surprise me what you say about the thundering from the pulpit. And that's, that's showing as attractive to people and it's drawing them to the church. Because if you draw a parallel with the political world, it sort of is the same reason why Donald Trump was able to gain so much steam in the political world. Because in both the church world now, and the political world when Donald Trump was running, Americans with traditional values, just wanted somebody to fight for those traditional values. They wanted somebody to fight for them. Through Trump, conservatives wanted people who will go to Capitol Hill and just fight whether it's against Democrats or Republicans fight for America first and in church, right? True believers want a pastor, they want a a church leader, who will fight for the truth and thunder from the pulpit. So it's not surprising to me that strength is actually being rewarded with greater following. Gary Duncan  14:03  Yeah, and that's so that's exactly where I'm at is, is I need to see from the pulpit a fiery, you know, hail and fire and brimstone which I have not heard and 30 something years if even that, that we're not talking about it's the loving Jesus in the in the you know, turn the other cheek, Jesus, and the Jesus is coming back is not going to come back in a happy mood. Unknown Speaker  14:32  Pastor Jack just said God's not happy. Because he's not right. No, I mean, he can't Gary Duncan  14:38  be with with what's 2632 babies are aborted every day. And the lunacy of these congressmen to get up there and pontificate about gun control and all this while seconds go by every 32 seconds have babies aborted. And while this one man from New York was was a railing on the Republicans, six babies were aborted during his two minute speech, and I'm like, Dude, you're signing the documents that kills babies, and you have no problem with that. But you're gonna have a problem with some nut job that's possessed by the devil, or other entities that goes and kills children, if one death is bad enough. But when you create a law that kills them, you know, I just have problems with that. Unknown Speaker  15:29  And let's not forget the destruction of innocence that takes place in this nation, above and beyond abortion, of course, but the LGBTQ movement, that the agenda from the far left to sexualize our young children, and at the same time, tear down traditional family values, and embrace the idea of fatherless homes, which, you know, has led to so many of these issues that we're seeing, as a matter of fact, by way of school shootings, most of these shooters come from broken homes without a father present. So this is, this is the left's reason, the result of leftist policies. And the left certainly won't acknowledge that. And, you know, in the end, it's going to be incumbent on those who know better, which is the Christian community in America, we, after all, do understand what it means to have a right coming from God, not government, it's going to be incumbent on the Christian community to get louder in the political world, in the secular world, which is going to be very uncomfortable for some Christians who aren't used to that. Gary Duncan  16:40  Yeah, I totally agree. And the pushback I'm getting on just that comment is that we're we're, and I guess that's where the the wheat and the chaff are getting separated, is that, you know, it's about saving the last and, and making disciples and doing the loving thing that we're supposed to do as Christians. So how do you do love while you're standing in the face of pure evil, and trying to spread that gospel? Unknown Speaker  17:08  Well, I mean, what did Jesus do when the money changers were in his temple? Right? I mean, he didn't say, oh, cool, Oh, could you please leave or, you know, somebody called the government so they can be, you know, asked to leave. I mean, He overturned their tables, and he got very upset. So I think we need to remember there's a thing called righteous anger. And, and there are many, many stories in the Bible, where followers of God, right believers in God exercised righteous anger, and they weren't persecuted by God for but rather they were elevated. So you know, make a decision, draw a line in the sand as a Christian and decide now, where do you want this country to be in five years? 10 years? 50 years for your kids sake? Do you want to just pretend like you're doing a good thing by going to church every Sunday and then ignoring the rest of the world? Or do you want to get your hands dirty and fight? And I think it's time everybody gets their hands dirty and fight? Gary Duncan  18:06  Yes. Amen. On that one. All right. So we got locked down the socialist plan to take away your freedoms. So what what's coming? I mean, what are we seeing? Talk a little bit about what what you got the research you did in the book and all that. Unknown Speaker  18:21  Yeah, well, you've heard the term the great reset, right? Well, this is a very real, non conspiratorial term that if you go to the World Economic Forum's own website, WWE forum.org. And read Klaus Schwab, who is the founder of the World Economic Forum, read his writings on the great reset. He is very clear that there is no other time like this in history, and he's talking about the Coronavirus where there can be actual global reform a global change. And for America, what he envisions is a redefining of capitalism, from stakeholder capitalism, where businesses are in business to make money and please their their shareholders, I mean, shareholder capitalism to stakeholder capitalism, where businesses are in business to advance social justice agendas. And those business that advance the most social justice agendas, whether it's radical environmentalism or Black Lives Matter and Antifa type agendas. Those businesses will survive and other business regardless of money making potential will fall. So that's a complete upsetting of America's free economy and our capitalistic system, which is a way of crumbling America for more then, and it is no coincidence that this is why you are seeing so many woke corporations out there. These corporations have signed on to the principles of the great reset, and they are rushing to get aboard the social justice bandwagon so that they can be one standing at the end. Gary Duncan  19:58  Right? It's Then what is it the economic score? Or is it the social? I can't remember Unknown Speaker  20:05  ESG environmental social governance scores standards. Yes. Gary Duncan  20:12  And so we're pushing out that way too. Yes. Unknown Speaker  20:15  And you know, in the meanwhile, there are also other Whack a Mole outcomes of these, of the Coronavirus that we need to be aware of and fight, most noticeably contact tracing. There was a bill, there was a bill before Congress a year ago with a very interesting number. It was hr 6666. And, you know, I understand that's an extra six. But it's still interesting, because the contact tracing bill that was introduced by Congressman Bobby Rush of Chicago, who has a whole Marxist background and Black Panther affiliation, by the way, he wanted $100 billion, that's billion with a B, each year to contact trace everybody in America. And what that means is basically on your smartphone on your cell phone that you carry around, you would have to download an app. And it would ping whenever you came into contact with somebody who had tested positive for the Coronavirus. And then you were supposed to self quarantine. And then the local government bureaucrats were supposed to come to your door and assist you and I put assist you in air quotes with your self quarantining. And if you didn't agree to self quarantine, there was a line of logic that said, obviously, you're not in the right mindset to take the proper medical care for yourself. So you're a danger to yourself. So then it becomes incumbent on the government to force you to undergo those mandated health treatments that they see fit. So there's contact tracing, it can lead into all kinds of directions. But when you hear contact tracing, you have to think government surveillance and tracking, because that's what's coming down the pike next. Gary Duncan  22:00  And is that a part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution? You heard? Are you familiar with that one? Unknown Speaker  22:06  Yes, I am. It's It's part and parcel of the great reset. But this is something specific in America that was introduced by way of a piece of legislation. And it got so much. Well, I did a piece on at the Washington Times. It was posted on Drudge Report. And then I went viral. And I got so much attention that it never went forward with a final vote. But I think what they're doing is they're piecemealing it now through Congress. So it's something to watch out for. Gary Duncan  22:35  So we really need to be very attentive to every little detail that our our the other elected officials are doing specifically. Unknown Speaker  22:43  Yes, yes. That's a good way to put it. Gary Duncan  22:47  I like what you said and a lot of this show notes I have here for for the book. It says Let no crisis go to waste and old style democratic politicking, the new motto, thanks to Coronavirus, has never let fear go to waste is that one of the main underlying tactics of this lockdown is fear. It's huge. Unknown Speaker  23:12  It is the primary one. And as you know, fear is a tool of Satan, right? So right there. If you're fearful, then I would grab a copy of your Bible and find out why you're fearful. First off, because Christians shouldn't be fearful, you should be bold. And the fact that the government is able to exploit fear just shows it well actually it goes hand in hand with the growing secularization of American society. Gary Duncan  23:42  Yeah, and I like what you're talking about the individual rights come from God, or they don't. And so I want to your other public podcast you were talking about that. I was listening to it today, actually. And it's titled, I think it's titled similar to that is that our you know, our inalienable rights come from God and not from government. And you show the contrast of how the government was taking these away. And the lockdown is one of the biggest ways they did it. How do we protect ourselves from that again, if if we can't, you know, especially like, if all we do is go to church, listen to sermon, go home. And we don't engage in in the culture or at least open our minds a little bit more to what's out there and others that like this program, and your podcasts are bold and blunt, and your book and these kinds of things, pick books up that talk about this if we if we don't pay attention, we're going to be in the same boat in another year when they figure out the next big you know, thing to throw on the country. Unknown Speaker  24:49  Yeah, I mean, look at what the public education system is teaching America's kids. And you know, my I have four kids three went through public school, the last One, she's 50. Now, my husband and I, Yang two when she was in middle school because Barack Obama wanted to put little boys in the girls bathrooms, and she refused to go to the bathroom, she used to come home and rush to the bathroom every day. So we had it. But not everybody is able to do that for their child. And even if you can, even if you are one of these lucky few in America, who can bring your child into a Christian based school or private school or homeschool, right? What about the rest of the kids out there who are steadily learning the propaganda that the government wants them to learn, and they are going to be the nation's next generation of leaders. So you're going to have to live in this country, of believers in socialism and haters of America, and somehow still be the light that Jesus wants you to be? It's going to be very difficult, and it's going to be very dark times. And I just think that it's incumbent on those who love America, to fight for America, if nothing else to honor those who went before and gave the ultimate sacrifice their lives. Gary Duncan  26:05  Yes, yes. And thank you for your service because you're an Army vet, correct? Unknown Speaker  26:09  Yes, I Yes. Thank you. Gary Duncan  26:11  Thank you for that. And so we need to, like the Bible says, my people perish for lack of knowledge. So we need to get knowledge. Pick up a book, get the book locked down a socialist plan to take away your freedom spell Cheryl Chumley. Also check out our podcast bold and blunt podcasts. It's on the edified network. Cheryl, is there any any place else that they can look up? I know you got two books on Amazon because I saw one of them's number one on I think fundamental, Christian category. And then you've got the other What's your book before that one called? Unknown Speaker  26:45  I actually have four books. My my previous one is socialist don't sleep, Christians must rise or America will fall. And then before that was devil in DC, and before that was please state USA, your website.
