The Qualifications.The Hypothesis.The Research Question.The Gospel.
There were 12 original, hand-picked disciples of Jesus until Judas died by suicide. After he died, Peter said, “Boys, there has to be 12 so we need to fill this vacancy!” So they chose two men who met the qualifications to be an apostle, “they had to be with Jesus from the beginning when he started his ministry and they had to witness his resurrection.” Mathias was chosen to replace Judas by casting lots. Guess who wasn't there?!?! The man who was persecuting these Jesus followers—Saul who later became Paul! So there is a good reason for the people to question his authority...or is it? Paul saw Jesus and was commissioned by him to take the gospel to the Gentiles, and just like the original disciples, Paul was confirming his message with miracles. Yet, Paul continued to humble himself in order to win others to Christ!
In this powerful message, Samuel Goulet invites listeners to move from simply receiving in church to becoming spiritual fathers and mothers who help others grow in Christ. Using Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 4, he shows that true spiritual parenting is not about titles, recognition, or status—it is about sacrifice, endurance, humility, and love that keeps showing up. With humor, honesty, and stories from family life, Samuel challenges us to let the culture of Jesus overflow from our homes into the church, creating a community where people are pursued, encouraged, corrected in love, and strengthened to walk in the truth.

Most people assume that if someone is legally licensed to give investment advice, they have completed a rigorous amount of education and training, have demonstrated advanced knowledge by passing exams that test the real-world application of concepts, and have a minimum level of real-world experience. The answer is much more complicated, and the truth is that there can be significant variation in education, experience, and ability beyond the basic, legal threshold. In this episode, we break down the minimum legal standard to become a licensed investment adviser representative and why there can be meaningful differences in the depth of knowledge and experience among licensed advisors. We cover what it takes to satisfy the basic legal standard which is the Series 65 exam, the over 200 designations that exist in the financial industry, how to tell which designations demonstrate a long-term commitment to developing high-quality planning capabilities, and the three credentials that we believe rise to the top: the CPA, the CFP®, and the CFA®.We walk through the education, experience, examination, and ethics requirements for each, share the questions every person should ask a financial advisor before engaging them, and explain why the right advisor will always welcome those questions. For individuals and families with significant assets and complex financial needs, understanding whether your advisor holds one of these designations is an important step in determining whether your advisor is the best fit for your family. Thanks for listening! For more details, check out our blog post at https://pw-wm.com/learn/financial-planning/what-are-your-financial-advisors-qualifications/

Most real estate agents are wasting massive amounts of time with buyers who were never serious in the first place. In this episode, Tim and Julie Harris break down the exact buyer pre-qualification system top agents use to uncover motivation, identify hidden seller opportunities, avoid weak buyer leads, and protect their time in the 2026 market. You'll learn why most buyer leads are actually seller leads, why buyers rarely “have to buy,” how elite agents uncover real motivation early, and why trusting weak lender pre-approvals destroys deals. Tim and Julie also explain the difference between buyers who are emotionally interested versus financially and mentally ready to purchase right now — and why that distinction determines whether your business grows or collapses. If you're tired of showing homes without results, getting ghosted by buyers, or struggling to create predictable income, this episode gives you the framework serious agents use to build leverage through listings and better qualification systems. What you'll learn includes how to identify motivated sellers hiding inside buyer inquiries, the questions that reveal true buying motivation, how to avoid wasting time on unrealistic buyers, and why listings remain the fastest path to stability and leverage in real estate. Fundraisers often spend enormous amounts of time pursuing prospects who will never make a gift. Not because they lack capacity, but because nobody properly qualified their intent. In this episode, we look at one of the biggest hidden problems in fundraising: confusing wealth with philanthropic interest. Let's explore how better qualification questions, smaller portfolios, and clearer disqualification standards can improve donor relationships and fundraising outcomes. Effective fundraising is not about collecting more names, it's about identifying alignment and moving the right relationships forward.
"All leaders lead by example." John C. Maxwell's quote reminds us why the qualifications for office in Christ's church are primarily character qualities. The congregation will follow it's leaders, not only in administrative decisions, but also in Christian character. We are all called to be exemplary Christians, but it is a requirement for those who will serve as offices in the church.

After their defeat to Dublin, Galway still need at least one more point to be sure of their place in this year's Leinster senior hurling final when they complete their group programme away to Wexford on Sunday (24th May 2026). The Tribesmen lost their last provincial championship trip to the South East in 2024. Indeed, the last time they left Wexford with an away win was in 2018 thanks to 12 Joe Canning points and a Conor Whelan goal. Qualification for the All-Ireland series is already secured for Galway but, even though this will be their last outing in 2026, the Slaneysiders will be determined to finish on a high. Wexford winger Jack O'Connor attended the championship launch at Kinnity Castle Hotel last month and he chatted to Galway Bay FM's Sean Walsh. == Throw-in at Chadwicks Wexford Park on Sunday is 2pm and we'll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.

Clare minor hurling boss Ger O'Connell says his side are eager to make the most of their All Ireland campaign after qualifying 'by the skin of their teeth'. Clare travel to FBD Semple Stadium and Saturday afternoon to meet Dublin in the preliminary quarter final, with that game underway at 12pm. The Banner qualified from the round robin series in fourth place thanks to results falling in their favour during the final round of games. O'Connell says the squad are in the same position they were last year, when they made it to the All Ireland Final.

Understanding how federal agencies and primes actually buy is the competitive edge that most small business owners never develop — and in this episode, seasoned contractor David Hernandez breaks down exactly why your certification alone will not get you in the door. If you have been chasing work without understanding the procurement chain, this conversation will reframe your entire BD approach. Know your real buyer before you pitch: The insulation subcontractor story reveals why targeting the general contractor directly was the wrong move — the mechanical sub controlled that purchase, and no amount of veteran status changed that reality Use pre-bid meetings as a positioning tool: David explains how showing up to a $30 million Army Corps deep tunnel project and signing in as SDVOSB and 8(a) signaled to every prime in the room that he was the set-aside solution they needed to meet Price your certifications into your strategy: When David bid the control building at double his standard rate, he understood the prime's pressure to meet SBA set-aside requirements — and that leverage is available to any certified small business willing to study how contracts are structured When agencies push back, know when to walk: Whether it was the Port Authority denying a compliant 51% joint venture or a Chicago tow authority twice awarding to a higher bidder, David's lesson is the same — fighting bureaucratic discretion costs more than moving on Qualifications must match execution reality: Winning a contract you cannot deliver is worse than losing the bid — Army Corps quality control, safety, and reporting requirements are nonnegotiable, and certifications do not substitute for operational readiness Subscribe and join the Federal Help Center community at federalhelpcenter.com, where contractors help contractors win. EPISODE CHAPTERS: 0:00 - Welcome to the Federal Help Center podcast 0:27 - The insulation sub who complained to the wrong person 1:52 - Why understanding how primes buy changes everything 2:51 - Showing up to a $30 million Army Corps pre-bid meeting 4:19 - Bidding the control building at double standard rate 5:15 - Using certifications as strategic leverage not just identity 6:11 - When the Port Authority denied a compliant joint venture 8:01 - Lessons from being low bidder and still losing the award 10:26 - Knowing when to walk away and redirect your energy 10:42 - Community close and call to action Market Intelligence gives you the federal opportunities, agency signals, recompete intel, and pursuit briefs that tell you not just what contracts exist, but which ones to chase and how to win them. "A CV is not a list of jobs; it is a story of capability." A CV is not just a list of jobs; it is a story of your capability. Most people believe a degree alone will get them hired, but in an AI-saturated market, academic theory is failing. In this episode, our guest reveals the invisible asset of emotional intelligence—the one skill a machine can never replicate. I learned about the critical misalignment between education and employment with Dr. Tamara Nall, a Harvard MBA and Global Leader in AI-Human Relationships Movement. Tamara explains why your ability to read a room and lead with presence carries more weight than your GPA. We explore how to stop applying into the 'black hole' and start building a relationship map that advocates for your true character. Key insights from this eye-opening conversation include: Why community service, freelance work, and "warm leads" carry more weight than your GPA. How to stop applying into the "black hole" and start building a network that advocates for you with a relationship map. Why the way you spend your time after graduation defines the initial trajectory of your career. Why artificial intelligence can't answer the case-based questions that reveal your true values and character during your interview. Whether you are a recent graduate or a professional looking to pivot, this conversation offers a blueprint for turning your experience into a winning story of capability. Watch this on video: https://youtu.be/9Qfq2MfyKBg Topics covered: how to get hired, why can't I find a job, resume help for graduates, how to get an interview, professional networking tips, career change advice, building a relationship map, what recruiters look for, improving emotional intelligence, how to explain employment gaps, entry level job search, landing a job without experience, how to stand out to recruiters, resume writing for beginners, networking for introverts, career development strategies, how to use LinkedIn for jobs, overcoming job search burnout, expressing my value to employers Check out Tamara right here: www.junialegacy.com https://www.linkedin.com/in/tamaranall/

Now, after 16 months in singles, he is prepared to make another transition to the world of decking. As John will say, he's what you call “a complete driver” who has seen it all and can do it all.
