Greetings, SuperFriends! Today we are going to be talking about quarantine, social distancing, and being stuck at home. I wanted to do this special episode and move around all the other episodes we have scheduled, because as it so happens, a very dear friend of mine is one of the world's top experts on how to work out in not-so-ideal conditions. His name is Tee Major, and he's been on the show a couple of times before. Tee has written a book called Urban Calisthenics, which talks about how you can maintain peak physical fitness even in urban, cramped apartments, without any weights and gear. More importantly, he developed this experience over years of working with every single branch of the US military and Special Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. These are people literally living in extreme conditions, who also need to be at their peak physical fitness. This is an important episode for a couple of different reasons. One, because I think it's crucial that we all take care of ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, and otherwise, during these difficult times, and again, the physical is a big part of that. In addition to that, I think a lot of people are using this situation as an excuse to slack off a little bit - I know I'm guilty of it - but as you you'll learn in this episode, there is a lot you can do. In fact, Tee advocates that you don't need to just maintain, but you can actually thrive, improve, and get closer to your goals. Greetings, SuperFriends! Today we are joined, once again, by my friend Tee Major. If you haven't heard our first episode with Tee, you might want to check it out. He's a pretty awesome guy! In that episode, we talked about all his experiences and the things that he has learned from training the world's most elite warriors. He's actually trained every single branch of the military, in their fitness regimen, and he's lived in places like Kyrgyzstan, Iraq, and Afghanistan. But now, in this episode, we're talking a little bit more about the actual, practical, hands-on of Calisthenics. For instance, what is Calisthenics, how does it fit into your fitness routine, and how you can remain fit and healthy on the go if you don't have access to equipment. We also talked about some other stuff. In fact, we went into a total tangent about business management, and how the lessons learned there can make you a better human being in all of your relationships. I hope you folks get a lot of value out of that! I really wanted to go on this tangent, as it's something I'm learning so much about. It was an opportunity for me to use the Feynman Technique and teach someone else what I've been learning. Today, we are joined by Tee Major. Now, I have to admit: I didn't know about Tee before his publicist reached out, and I'm kind of sad that I didn't, because he's an amazing guy and you guys are about to find out why. He's not only one of Jillian Michaels top Fit Fusion trainers on the web, he's a member of the ACE group and a specialist in fitness and nutrition, too... But he is also a tactical fitness instructor who served the military, and was their trainer in Iraq and Kyrgyzstan, during  Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He's worked with the Navy, the Air Force, and the Marines, but as I found out, there's actually even more to him! He's an entrepreneur, a successful business owner, a nomad traveling the world, an adventurer, and really just someone who has so much to share. Throughout the episode, we get into a lot. Obviously, we talk about fitness and leadership and nutrition, but then we also go into entrepreneurship. We go into freedom and even get into these pretty difficult childhood and some of the very painful financial and emotional struggles that set him back until the point where he was able to make a change and completely turn his life around, and get to the very impressive place that he is today: Running multiple businesses and helping people all over the world, inspiring millions of people on YouTube, and so on. I'm really excited for you guys to hear this episode. I think there are a couple very very significant takeaways both in life and in fitness that everyone out there should hear.

We then spot and eliminate wasteful movements or “muri" and make small, systematic improvements. In all, our process suggests an efficient but humanized approach to fitness that strives to increase individual productivity during our journey of self improvement. Kaizen is a daily activity, the purpose of which goes beyond simple productivity improvement. It is also a philosophy that, when adhered to, can enhance our performance in sport, work, and even in our daily lives. About Tee Major Tee is an ACE Certified Group X Instructor and Worldwide Bodyweight mentor. In 2008, Tee started Tee Major Fitness, which specialized in personal training, small group training, and online consultation mainly for adults looking to get in shape.
