We've covered our share of scary ladies on this show. In fact, bad bitches are one of our special interests. There was Tracey Richter, who murdered an innocent neighbor to frame him for a crime he didn't commit. Marie Hilley, the serial poisoner who eluded police for years and once passed herself off as her own (fictional) twin sister. Marjorie Orbin, the Vegas showgirl who murdered her husband for his life insurance and left his dismembered body in the desert. I could keep going—there are a lot of ‘em. But this week, I think we may have found the scariest one yet. You can tell us if you think I'm wrong, but I think the woman we're about to tell you about may be the worst of all the women we've covered so far…a woman whose heart is a swirling black hole of need and darkness. In December of 2001, Tracey Richter was home with her three children when a brutal home invasion happened. 2 men came into Traceys home and choked her with her own pantyhose until she fell unconscious while her 3 kids were locked in a room upstairs for safety. She woke up, grabbed 2 guns from a nearby gun cabinet and shot 9 rounds into one of the men 20 y/o Dustin Wehde, killing him instantly. Police looked at this as a home invasion gone wrong but after analyzing the crime scene and speaking with neighbors, family and friends. The police would soon learn all of the dark and twisted details of the murder that Tracey was hiding from them. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

After Tracey Richter killed a home intruder, she was hailed as the mother who risked it all to protect her children. The dead man's mother said the whole truth would one day come out. It took a decade before that would happen though some say the truth was always out there. Tracey Richter and Michele Williams were two women who lived far from each other, but very similar in personality. And both devised bizarre plots involving manipulation and murder, regarding all the men in their lives. Pure black widows. We all think of charm and good looks as a good thing, right? Something we all wish we had goin' on. But for some people, a silver tongue and a knockout bod are nothing more than tools to help them hurt and manipulate. Tools that make it easier for them to wreak six kinds of havoc on the lives of everyone they meet. Some people are just forces of destruction, determined to take everything they can get their hands on and not worried about who they destroy in the process. We've covered some bad bitches on this show before—Dante Sutorius, Tracey Richter—and we think this li'l English rose we're about to tell you about could hold her own with the worst of them. December 2001. The tiny town of Early, Iowa. Police respond to a 911 call from an eleven year old boy who said his mom, Tracey Richter Pitman Roberts, had just been attacked by two intruders while her husband was out of town on business. They had choked her unconscious, and when she came to she managed to get to her gun safe and take one of them down while the other fled out the back door. At first glance, it looked like an amazing "hero mom" story, and Tracey became a local hero. But when police started looking into the identity of the dead intruder, this clear-cut narrative started to seem a lot fuzzier. The dead man was 19 year old Dustin Wehde, a local special-needs kid (and family friend of Tracey and her husband) who didn't seem to have a violent bone in his body. And when police got a look inside a pink notebook they found in Dustin's car, the story got even weirder.Join us for part 1 of this twisting tale about one of the most intelligent and devious killers you'll ever encounter. Karen and Georgia cover Tracey Richter and the Villisca Axe Murders.
Sometimes you just know when you've met the woman of your dreams. But one thing is for sure: that woman is not Tracey Richter. Just how many lives did Tracey ruin? How many lives did she take? How did such a promising young lady turn into such a monster? This is True Crimecast.
Tracey Richter is quite a character... While low-key trying to kill her husbands she gets wrapped in a bizarre affair with a lowly neighbor boy. The boys welcome Mike Baldwin to the case. From mysteriously lost puppies to pink notebooks, this case has everything.
Tracey Richter was an angry narcissist willing to do whatever it took to get what she wanted. She had no qualms about harming anybody who would dare to come between her and what she wanted. But Tracey was also a good actress. That may explain why she got away with so much for so long. […] The post A Dangerous Woman: The Life and Crimes of Tracey Richter appeared first on Tiegrabber.
