The West Hartford Town Council is looking into the town's 10 p.m. dining ban. LocalOnlineNews.TV's Kimberly Howard asked residents and restaurant owners what they thought of the ban.

Republican Denise Berard Hall is seeking the CT House of Representatives seat being vacated by Beth Bye. Hall is the Minority Leader of the West Hartford Town Council, first elected this past November. Democrats are holding a primary August 10th to determine who will be on the ballot against Hall on the November ballot. We will have a preview of that race soon.

West Hartford Town Council member Leon Davidoff recently switched his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat. Republicans are calling for his resignation, citing Connecticut's minority representation law. A legal opinion issued by the Town's Corporation Council stated Davidoff can remain on the Council until the next election.

The newly elected West Hartford Town Council members began their work on Monday, November 23rd. Democrats and Republicans pledged to work together in what will be another difficult budget year.
