Ever wondered about what exactly happened to Jesus when He died? What happened in those days before He resurrected? That is what this week's sermon is all about, specifically looking at the in-between of Christ's journey from death to resurrection. It is week four in our wonderful series looking deeply into the Apostles Creed. This week's text was “…who suffered under Pontius Pilot, was crucified, dead, and buried…”. Within this text, Pastor Jeni took us to Ephesians 4:11-16, as well as several passages in John 19 all within the scope of examining the humanity of Christ, his very real abuse, crucifixion, and human life/death. Pastor Jeni went on to remind us that through Christ's humanity God became relatable to us. Annual Church Meeting! This Sunday was a special Sunday in the yearly life of our church in which Pastor Jeni led us through some ways that God has been using our church to Make an Impact in our community & our world. Following this celebration, we continued on with continued in our series, “What's my Calling"?” Looking again at 2 Timothy 2:20-21, Pastor Jeni preached on how we define and live out the “Assignments” that God gives us in addition to our (Week 1) Calling and (Week 2) Appointment. For the fourth week of Lent we continue in the sermon series, “Made for More”. Pastor Jeni takes us to the book of Luke (15:11-32) to discover what we can learn from the widely recognized Parable of the Lost Son. Come discover who Jesus invites to His Table of fellowship and grace - and therefore who we should as well.
