It froze debate. “Most secure election in history,” another repeated, before clarifying that security and public confidence are not synonyms, particularly after states rewrote voting procedures under emergency authority while private actors poured hundreds of millions into local election administration.He even cited the now well documented “Zuckerberg grants,” the $419 million channeled through the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a figure reported widely in 2021 and dissected in state legislatures thereafter. What had once been framed as “philanthropy” was now described, under duress of honesty, as asymmetrical infrastructure. Legal, perhaps. Hawk watched Donald Trump's State of the Union address on February 24, 2026, then watched the Democratic response delivered by Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger, and came away far angrier at the Democrats than at Trump. While Trump's behavior was predictable, the Democratic response was scripted, sanitized, and shockingly silent on the most damning facts about a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and fraudster who was indicted 91 times across four jurisdictions, convicted on 34 felony counts for interfering with the 2016 election, incited the January 6th insurrection, and whose company was convicted of 17 fraud-related felonies. Spanberger never said the words convicted felon, rapist, fraudster, fascist, authoritarian, or genocide. She did not mention Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, or the ICE killings of Renee Good, Alex Prey, or Keith Porter. She did not call Trump a liar. She did not mention that he pardoned January 6th insurrectionists, ignored the Constitution, or is dismantling democracy. Meanwhile, Raphael Warnock, when given time on air, immediately named Epstein, called out the administration's wickedness, and spoke to the transfer of wealth from the bottom 75% to the top 1%. Hawk argues Warnock, or the young Somali woman from Minneapolis who spoke plainly about racism and murder, should have delivered the response instead. Congressman Al Green was physically removed from the House floor for holding a sign reading "Black people are not apes," while Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer, and every other Democrat sat silent. Hawk also points to the DNC's own post-2024 autopsy confirming that Democratic support for Israel's actions in Gaza cost them the election, yet Democrats continue accepting millions from AIPAC and J Street. And then Patel himself couldn't resist Supposedly we sent 100 agents to help with security and he just had to be there. Guesstimated cost just for his latest stage of his perpetual vacation on our dime? $400,000. It would be bad - a future administration will probably address it as misappropriation of funds. But what makes it worse is there's a piece by Patel from 2022 complaining about previous FBI directors wasting money on vacation, and a clip about his FBI predecessor Christopher Wray's vacation travel. Simply impeaching him is insufficient. He needs to go to prison. NOT THAT TRUMP WOULD DO THAT; THIS IS THE BEHAVIOR TRUMP TEACHES: Trump is a thief and he owes you and me at least 293 billion dollars - and we want it back. The worst thief in American history - and 270 billion of that is in tariffs. Because on tariffs, the Supreme Court has given him his COMEUPPANCE. Well – it’s given him A comeuppance. Because his new argument for the new REPLACEMENT Monday tariffs was his old argument AGAINST overturning the old Friday tariffs. But the key thing the Court actually did was give his cult a mortal shock. Andrew and Mary are often inundated with news out of the Justice Department, but one item that really caught their attention this week was the DOJ's appeal to the Supreme Court to toss out Steve Bannon's contempt conviction. They begin here, highlighting Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche's wry comments on social media about the case. Next, they turn to a reality hitting prosecutors hard, especially in states ICE is targeting—that the push for mass detentions did not include any plan for the infrastructure needed to support the caseload in the courts or in U.S. Attorneys' offices. And it's pushing prosecutors to the brink. SEASON 4 EPISODE 57: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: When they insist Trump's Thursday night racist video depicting the Obamas as apes wasn’t posted by Trump but by somebody else in the White House – and then he undermines the lie they spread on his behalf by saying he selected the video and had them post it but he just didn’t see the whole thing but so what it wasn’t a mistake they just deleted it – I think each part of that is a lie. It was a set-up. I conclude that this is not just blatant, human garbage racism, inherited Trump Family Branded racism, but I conclude the entire thing was designed – to whatever degree anything Trump and these scumbags do is DESIGNED – it was DESIGNED to turn out this way. Event happens, justifiable backlash, unrighteous indignation from press secretary Eva Braun, oops it wasn’t supposed to be posted, oops bad staffer, oops Trump comes out at the end of the day and… endorses the original racism anyway, quote, “I didn’t make a mistake.” And he did it this circuitous way, the way he expresses ALL his racism against BLACK people, because he can’t send ICE after them. But the point of the video was he was reminding his putrid, hate-driven base that he can't send ICE after them...FOR THE MOMENT. B-Block (33:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: There are actually people in politics and media who for some reason don't see that Jeff Bezos hired Will Allen to slowly destroy The Washington Post (to please Trump) and think this was all some sort of mismanagement, rather than a well-executed plan. Unfortunately at least two of them wrote it on their sites: Jim Vandehei and Dylan Byers. Sage Steele is back with not only anti-athlete, anti-freedom of speech conservative swill, but stuff that is almost a word-for-word duplication of what Laura Ingraham wrote 20 years ago. And incredibly, in Year 11 of the Trump Scam, there's still a guy on CNN thinks Trump just changed his tone. Life in New York City continues to crumble as the winter death toll hits 18. Mayor Mamdani says raising taxes on corporations and the wealthy is the golden ticket to his communist agenda as Virginia devolves into an over-taxed hellscape. A true bombshell document shows Chris Wray and the FBI were planning months before the 2020 election for mass protests and uprisings, and even predicted the events at the Capitol on J6. Does that sound similar to Bill Gates' Event 201 "working session" to roll play a global pandemic, months before Covid hit?  

Before January 6th, Harry thought his entire adult life would go down a fairly regular route, spent as public servant in the role of a police officer, and one day retiring. But everything changed that fateful day on January 6th, 2021, when Harry came face to face with the worst of the worst white supremacists and insurrectionists, waving MAGA and Confederate flags in the halls of the Capitol building. These rioters hurled racial slurs at Harry as he fought to keep them away from members of Congress. In an interview with the New York Times, Harry said, “A lot of us Black officers fought a different battle than everybody else fought. I said to my buddy, ‘I got called [slur] a couple dozen times today.' I'm looking at him. He's got blood on him. I've got bloody knuckles. We're hurting. That's when I said, ‘Is this America?' and I started crying. Tears are coming down my face. ‘Is this America?'” As Harry describes, his experience on January 6th showed him a “new path.” He knew he had to join the fight in defending democracy against Trump full-time. According to Harry, this fight has “evolved from just what happened that day to what's happening now across the whole country.” Harry said it best: “This authoritarian regime is hammering people. A new book, Storm at the Capitol: An Oral History of January 6th, by Associated Press Congressional Reporter Mary Clare Jalonick, captures first-hand descriptions of the day of the biggest attack on the United States Capitol since 1814. Jalonick, who was trapped in the press gallery of the U.S. House of Representatives, says she wanted to create a definitive record of the day because there is now, following Trump's return to power, there is a risk of erasure of what really happened. You go into the next Oval Office Scrum, and you ask him politely for his explanation of something released by his administration, by Pam Bondi’s office, on the government website, and you read – quoting this FBI 302 interview file: “Maxwell presented (her) to Trump…by the things Maxwell said, it was clear that (she) was available…”And don’t stop reading and don’t make eye contact. THEN from the sworn affidavit, reed, quote: “I personally witnessed Defendant Trump telling the plaintiff that she couldn’t ever say anything, if she didn’t want to disappear like the 12-year old female (redacted) and that he was capable of having her whole family killed…” Quote: “the physical and sexual abuse that I personally witnessed of minor females at the hands of Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein... under penalty of perjury even though I fully understand that the life of myself and my family is now in grave danger” unquote, what SIR is your explanation SIR about when you threatened this girl’s life, sir. Just keep asking. Don't make eye contact, don't stop, don't stop talking when he starts talking. Just reel off those quotes. And the one about becoming fertilizer. And the "Calendar Girls" story (as nonsensical as that probably is). And all the others. Because we don't always see the escape hatch when it appears before us, and it just appeared. Because the Epstein Files are part of an official Department of Justice Document Dump. Their contents are Pam Bondi's problem, not you or your lawyer's. And if you don't bear down and do this job as it was designed by the Founding Fathers, you will sooner or later face one of these outcomes: you'll be arrested, you'll be replaced by some automaton Bari Weiss likes, or the country will survive and the next people running media will never consider you for work because you were cowardly when we needed your courage. Oh and you can peacefully, legally end the careers of Elon Musk and Marco Rubio and Bari Weiss and lots of others. The material is all in front of you. Just have the courage to pick it up and fling it, like he'd fling his poo at you. ALSO: Don Lemon was arrested not because Jesus but because Trump has always hated him. He further asserted that unchecked mass migration has strained social infrastructure and altered the continent's cultural identity, while a stifling regulatory environment and excessive government spending have suppressed the innovation needed to compete with the United States. Finally, he accused European nations of freeloading on American security, arguing that their failure to meet NATO defense spending targets over the past 70 years has allowed them to avoid the true costs of national sovereignty at the expense of the American taxpayer. Based on current economic data as of January 2026, the comparison supports Trump's critique. While the United States is experiencing aggressive growth alongside widespread deregulation, Europe remains mired in what can best be described as stabilized stagnation. After 2027, there's no “going back to normal.” The EU has indeed been importing refined petroleum products from India that originate from Russian crude oil, creating an indirect pathway for Russian oil to enter the European market despite sanctions on direct imports from Russia since December 2022.  This circumvention became prominent after the EU and G7 imposed a price cap on Russian oil, prompting Russia to redirect exports to countries like India and China, where the crude is refined and then resold.    EU officials and analysts have long acknowledged the loophole, which is why recent sanctions packages have targeted it directly. For instance, the EU’s 18th sanctions package in July 2025 banned the import of petroleum products derived from Russian crude processed in third countries, and specifically sanctioned Nayara Energy, an Indian refinery partly owned by Russia’s Rosneft.  The 19th package in October 2025 further tightened measures by sanctioning additional third-country entities, including three in India, for supporting Russia’s circumvention efforts. As a result, major Indian refiners like Reliance Industries have stopped importing Russian crude for certain facilities to comply with these rules and maintain access to EU markets. Russia, meanwhile, continues to adapt by using new middlemen exporters to supply India, aiming to sustain the flow despite the crackdown.  India has not fully stopped importing Russian oil since then, but imports have significantly declined.
