Crystal Rivers | Open Book | Nov 18, 2025 You are not merely a believer attending services or reading scriptures—you are a living temple, the actual dwelling place where God has chosen to make His home. This isn't metaphorical language meant to inspire; it's the fundamental reality of your existence in Christ. Consider this: when Jacob laid his head on a stone and saw angels ascending and descending from heaven, he wasn't just witnessing a vision. He was seeing a prophetic picture of what you have become. That place he called "the house of God" and "the gate of heaven"—that's you. Angels ascend and descend through you. Heaven flows into earth through your very being. Every temple and tabernacle built in ancient times—from Moses' tent in the wilderness to Solomon's golden temple—was merely a shadow pointing to you. Notice how each one was filled with images of angels, gardens, and heavenly beings. Notice how glory fell when the priests shouted in unity. These weren't just historical buildings; they were prophetic illustrations of your spiritual architecture. The glory that filled those ancient structures already dwells within you. Christ Himself, who is the brightness of God's glory and the express image of His person, lives in your spirit right now. But here's what you must understand: this glory is meant to journey. It begins in your spirit, where it was deposited when you believed, but it must move into your conscious awareness, into your heart, and eventually manifest in your physical body. This journey requires your active participation. When you speak declarations like "Christ is in me" or "The glory of God dwells in me," you're not engaging in positive thinking—you're opening a door between your spirit and your consciousness. Your mouth becomes the gateway through which spiritual reality flows into mental and emotional awareness. This is why meditation on these truths isn't optional; it's the mechanism of transformation. Every time you pray in the Spirit, every time you declare your identity in Christ, you're exercising your consciousness to align with what already exists in your spirit. You're teaching your mind and heart to agree with what God has already accomplished. This isn't about becoming something you're not—it's about manifesting what you already are. The spots, wrinkles, and blemishes mentioned in Scripture aren't moral failures as much as they are areas where your union with Christ hasn't yet become tangible. Each day you choose faith over sight, each moment you declare truth over circumstances, you're allowing the glory within to consume another area of unbelief. This transformation is both a process and a destination. You're changing daily, becoming more aware of Christ within you, more conscious of your union with Him. Yet there will come a moment—in the twinkling of an eye—when this internal reality will fully manifest. The trumpet will sound not to bring something foreign but to reveal what has been growing within you all along. Until that day, your assignment is clear: Touch the glory within you. Don't just read about it or think about it—engage it. When you pray, don't just recite words; establish contact with the divine presence in your spirit. When you worship, don't just sing; let the rivers of living water flow from your innermost being. When you meditate on Scripture, don't just memorize; let the reality of Christ in you become more real than the chair you're sitting on. You are being sealed, marked, and claimed by the Holy Spirit each time you engage this reality. Like an owner marking their territory, God pours His essence upon you, declaring to all creation: "This one is Mine." Death cannot touch what God has sealed. Darkness cannot overcome where His glory dwells. Remember: you're not working toward becoming God's house—you already are. You're not trying to get Christ inside you—He's already there. You're simply learning to live from that reality, to let what's inside manifest outside, to allow the hope of glory to become the visible glory. This is your identity. This is your reality. This is your destiny: to be the living, breathing, walking temple of the Most High God, where heaven and earth meet, where angels ascend and descend, where the glory of God finds its home. Above and Beyond God has gone above and beyond by going low. God became one of us (Incarnation), died for us (Atonement), rose for us (Resurrection), reigns for us (Intercession), and put His Spirit in us (Indwelling). God is the first and greatest giver. Generosity is a response, not an initiation. God calls us to go above and beyond. Mission: to help people follow Jesus. Vision: to see God do immeasurably more in and through you. Generosity is an act of faith that moves us beyond theory to trust. Generosity goes above and beyond yourself. 5G Strategy: Gatherings, Growth, Generations, Good Works, Global Discipleship Generosity is participation in transformation.
Being filled with the Spirit is necessary for knowing and doing the Will of God. More than that - it is the Will of God for Christians to be filled with the Spirit. When we are, it will come out in our praise of and thanks to God.
This week in our continuing study of the book of John, we pause to take a closer look at the person and role of the Holy Spirit.
This is a VERY SHORT BUT IMPORTANT MESSAGE Title: The Doctrine of Imputation Text: 2 Cor 5 vs 21 1. The gospel of grace is carried by the doctrine of imputation. 2. Apart from imputation of sin and righteousness there is NO GOSPEL. 3. Free Imputation of righteousness was always God's design for the salvation of sinners. 4. But how was that done? God "made Christ sin" and that means God imputed the sins of the elect to Christ. 5. Christ Jesus being God and sinless could not be infused with sin for many reasons. First being the immutable God, that was impossible. Secondly, that would have defiled Him and disqualified both His Priesthood and Sacrifice (Lev 21 & 22). 6. So, He was "made sin" not by infusion/impartation, but by imputation of sin debt/guilt. 6. Imputation does not transfer material or infuse things into a person. Rather, it legally reckons them as liable for the sins of another-as with Christ Jesus, and it makes the elect sinner also righteous in reverse. 7. The elect are legally righteous in the books of God, but not experientially, since they are not yet glorified. They all still have INDWELLING SIN. Indwelling sin is a constant REMINDER that our ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOPE lies in IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS (God's righteousness). 8. Thus, the matter of salvation is best understood and believed through the doctrine of imputation and accompanying doctrines. By the death of Christ God made us the righteousness of God in Him. THAT IS HOW GOD SEES THINGS. 9. And how GOD SEES THINGS IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS and IT IS FREE

Hearing God's Voice MESSAGE SUMMARY: Introduction: The Gospel is based on both the Old and the New Testaments. The Gospel must go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit – the Gospel is a Spiritual message. Today's Message: In John 10, Jesus is speaking about the “shepherd”; the shepherd: 1) enters through the gate; 2) has the gate opened by a watchman; 3) sheep listen to his voice; 4) calls each sheep by name; 5) leads his sheep by going ahead of the sheep; and 6) has a voice by which he is known to his sheep and they follow him. In the first century, shepherding was an intimate profession; and the shepherd was always with his sheep. The shepherd talked to his sheep, and the sheep knew the shepherd's voice. Also, in John 10, Jesus talked about the “false shepherd” who is a “thief and a robber”. The sheep do not follow the “false shepherd”. Jesus says that the “thief (false shepherd) comes only to steal, kill and destroy”. In John 10:7-10, Jesus says that He is the “gate”, and He is the way (gate) by which we are saved from our sins and eternal death; and we are provisioned for a full life as His followers. Like the sheep that follow the good shepherd, if we follow Jesus, we will all hear His voice. How do we know the voice of Jesus? Consider that: 1) we must enter only through the gate – Jesus; 2) we must be a sheep of the Good Shepherd and follow Jesus through an intimate relationship with Him; 3) we must learn to listen (for example, today we listen through the inward witness of the Holy Spirit – the Holy Spirit is charged with communicating the will of God to mankind and to sync our mind with the mind of God); 4) we obey as we listen – in the New Testament, the words “hear” and “obey” are the same words – God will speak directions for our lives; and 5) we don't harden our hearts to the voice of the Lord – listen to His voice and obey. As the Lord says: “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalms 46:10). TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, help me to grab hold of you today. I need you. Read Online“But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.” Matthew 13:16–17Imagine what it would have been like if you were among those who saw Jesus walk the earth and heard Him preach with your own ears. What a gift! Jesus points out to His closest disciples that they were truly blessed, and indeed they were. They spent day after day with Him, listening to His words and witnessing His miracles. They saw lives changed, hearts converted and souls saved from sin. What they were privileged to witness was what so many “righteous people” before them longed to see and hear. Abraham, Moses, all of the prophets and so many others longed for the day of the coming of the Messiah. And these disciples were blessed to share in it.Though it would have been glorious to be alive as Jesus walked the earth, in so many ways we are far more blessed. Today, we continue to have the divine presence of our Lord alive and present to us. First and foremost, He is present to us through grace. He is present in the Sacraments in a real and amazing way. He is present in His Living Word every time the Scriptures are proclaimed. He is present in the definitive teachings of the Church that have come to us over the centuries. He is alive in the witness of the saints both past and living. And He is present within us by His indwelling in our souls.At first, some may conclude that the presence of the Messiah in these above-mentioned ways is not nearly as much of a blessing as it would have been to have seen Him walk the earth and have listened to Him preach. But if we were to conclude this, we would be wrong. In truth, God's presence to us today is so much greater than even when He walked the earth. Recall, for example, that before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He told the disciples that it was good that He go. Why? Because then the Holy Spirit would come upon them. In that encounter, God would dwell not only next to them but within them. Today, we are blessed beyond measure because God is able to live within us, within our very souls.The Indwelling of the Holy Trinity is a spiritual reality that we must not only understand, live and embrace, it is also a gift for which we must have the utmost gratitude. Certainly in Heaven, we will receive the full revelation of God, enter into perfect union with Him and see Him face-to-face. But while here on earth, there is no time greater than the time we live in, because it is the time of the greatest presence of God in our world.Reflect, today, upon the incredible blessings bestowed upon you by our Lord. Too often we seek satisfaction in momentary and passing things. But God's presence in His holy Word, in the Sacraments, through the teachings of the Church, through the witness of the saints and through His indwelling within our souls are blessings that must be seen, understood and embraced with the utmost joy. You are blessed beyond measure! Believe it and grow in gratitude for these blessings. My blessed Lord, Your divine presence in our world today is beyond imagination. You come to me in countless ways and desire to dwell within me, uniting Yourself to me so as to become one with me. I say “Yes” to this gift of Your grace, and I welcome You more fully into my heart. Through our baptism, and so long as we are living in a state of grace, each of us has the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit living and dwelling in the depths of our hearts. In this episode, Fr. James explains the mystery of the indwelling Trinity, which is so important because this particular mystery describes the point of contact between the highest mystery of them all, the Holy Trinity, and the mystery of our own souls. By Len Martin - God's Holy Spirit has many positive attributes. This message takes a closer look at six of the blessings and benefits provided by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Read OnlineJesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'” John 20:17Mary of Magdala was one of the first persons to whom Jesus appeared. She was deeply devoted to Him, especially because of the great mercy He offered her when He forgave her manifest sins and expelled seven demons from her. After He had done that, Mary became a devout follower and was one of the few who remained faithful to Him, even as He hung upon the Cross.On the first day of the week, the Sunday after the Crucifixion, Mary came to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body in accord with Jewish custom. But when she arrived, Jesus' body was gone. And when Jesus appeared to her as she was weeping, she didn't immediately recognize Him, for He had His new glorified body. But when Jesus spoke her name, Mary, she recognized Him. But rather than embracing her, Jesus said, “Stop holding on to me…” Why would Jesus say this?Even though Mary's attachment and devotion to Jesus was beautiful and holy, it wasn't yet perfected. She wanted her Lord Whom she had come to know and followed. She wanted her former relationship with Jesus to be returned to her. But for this reason, Jesus said, “Stop holding on to me…” Jesus wanted much more. He was telling her that her relationship with Him was soon to change for the better. No longer would He simply be her earthly companion; instead, He would soon live within her, dwell within her very heart, become one with her, and be her Bridegroom for eternity. But this could only happen once Jesus ascended to the Father in Heaven to complete His divine mission of salvation.At times, we also seek favors from our Lord that are purely temporal. Though we do need to trust Him for “our daily bread,” meaning, for all the basic necessities of life, we must realize that the gifts God wants to give us far surpass anything in this world. The supernatural gift of grace, the gift of the Indwelling of the Most Holy Trinity, the gift of oneness with our Lord is what we are made for and is the end goal and desire of our Lord.Reflect, today, upon these words Jesus spoke to Mary: “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.” But do so with the knowledge that, now, Jesus has indeed ascended to the Father. Therefore, He now invites us all to cling to Him as He reigns in Heaven. Ponder the deep desire in the heart of our Lord that you cling to Him with every fiber of your being. He wants to dwell within you, to become one with you and to transform you in every way. This holy union is now being enjoyed for all eternity by Saint Mary of Magdala, and this same gift is being offered to you. Cling to Him and never let go, for this will be your eternal joy.My risen and ascended Lord, You now reign in Heaven in perfect glory and splendor. Draw me into Your glorious life and invite me to cling to You with all my heart. I invite You, dear Lord, to come and make Your dwelling within me so that I can hold on to You forevermore.
