ANOTHER GREAT INTERVIEW THIS WEEK, REFINER!!No 'Severance' production person is safe! Vinny P. is tracking them down and locking them into interview slots for the show. This week we talked to a legendary figure in the world of 'Severance' props and set dec. We've got "Penko the Sculptor"!!Penko's last name, Platikinov, is a bit of a mouthful. Rather than say it incorrectly, the folks around the 'Severance' set have gone to referring to this incredibly talented man as "Penko the Sculptor".  This is also a succint description of what he does around here. If it's a thing that's a little off...like say the Irv-head melon, or the statue of Kier in the town square...Penko probably had something to do with it. Penko is the 'anti-CGI' guy. Much of what he does I have attributed to CGI throughout my re-watch of the show. Nope! Those amazing visual tricks...like a dead seal carcass along the path, or a big statue in the town square...are all practical effects. Penko is that good. He's creating things you would believe were CGI if you didn't know any better. You're gonna love this guy! Hit 'play' Refiner! ANOTHER BIG HUFF TO FINISH IT OFF, REFINER!!Welcome back to Salt's Neck for another week of fun and games with Harmony Cobel and her Aunt Sissy. Sissy lives in the shadow of Kier and the old Lumon Ether plant. Neither has made an appearance in this place for forty years or more, but Sissy still holds out hope. Harmony is searching for something. She's just sure Sissy didn't sell it to the poor as she claimed. Harmony is also dealing with some big-time mommy issues. She wasn't allowed to come home for her mother's funeral. She's had no closure and a lot of grieving for a LONG time now. WE'RE BACK TO THE RE-WATCH THIS WEEK, REFINER!!Interviews are fun, and we love talking to the folks who make 'Severance' so incredible, but, we should never forget, this podcast was built on insanely detailed rewatches!! This week we are getting back into the S2 complete 'Severed' Re-watch with PART ONE of "Sweet Vitriol."We have not heard or seen anything from Harmony Cobel since her very scary parking lot run-in with Helena Eagan and her gorilla of a driver in the episode "Who is Alive?" Guess what??!! Harmony made the trip to Salt's Neck! In this episode, we catch up with her out on the road. She's headed back to where she grew up. She's needing some things she left at home back when she was whisked away to be a star at the Myrtle Eagan School for Girls. This time out we meet up with Hampton at the Drippy Pot. He's one of Cobel's oldest and dearest friends. He's also in the grip of a massive ether addiction, much like the rest of this tiny and dilapidated town. Oh, and if you're in need of ether, Hampton can set you up. As Sissy calls him, he's a 'huff peddler.'Oh, yeah...Sissy. We're going to meet Harmony's Aunt Celestine 'Sissy' Cobel. She's Harmony's mother Charlotte's sister. Sissy does NOT have a warm spot in her heart for Harmony, Hampton or this backwards little town on the seashore where she feels trapped by her beliefs. Or, maybe she does still feel some kinship with Harmony...she's just not willing to show it.It's time to hop in the VW Rabbit and head for the chilly coast of P.E. as we open the file called "Sweet Vitriol." Following Jesus is a journey of transformation and sanctification. It begins when we go “in” through Him, continues as we go all in with our lives, requires us to go without the things that hold us back, and calls us to go all the way through the refining process. Sanctification is not instant. It is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit shaping us into the image of Christ. Even with rough edges, God is faithfully making us holy and completing the good work He began in us.

ARE YOU READY, REFINER? IT DOESN'T GET MUCH COOLER THAN THIS...The episode "Chikhai Bardo" blew a lot of people away when it premiered as the 7th episode of the second season. A brand new leader was in the Director's Chair but she was a familiar face to both cast and crew. This is Cinematographer Jessica Lee Gagne's first foray into directing. Based on the incredible success of this episode, she'll probably never be a cinematographer again. We're going back in time with a blushing Mark and Gemma. We'll see how they met and fell in love. We'll ALSO venture down to the 'Testing Floor' where a very alive Gemma is being subjected to bizarre tortures by Robby Benson and Sandra Bernhard. Mark is passed out on his couch and Reghabi and Devon are about to come to blows over his body.It's a wild one, Refiner...and this is just PART ONE. Strap in and fire up that workstation. Either way, this week we've got you covered on 'Severed'!Outie-Irv has accepted an invite for an evening of Ham and Wine at Outie-Burt's place. This will be the first time Irving has met Burt's significant other: Fields. It's also our first chance to meet the elusive Fields. He has some interesting information to impart, if he doesn't pass out first! We also get a chance to tour the incredible home of Burt and Fields. In reality, it's the Gerald Luss house in Ossinging, NY. We will get WAY into it!!Over at "Zufu", a favorite joint in Kier for Chinese, outie-Mark Scout is trying to curb his reintegration appetitte. As he's feeding his face, Helena Eagan walks in. She has a seat at a booth...all alone. Helena may have had plans other than dinner when she followed Mark Scout into this place. She's quite the aggressive one!! Helena does her best to seduce a confused Mark Scout, but it doesn't work.The meeting at the restaurant prompts Mark to take some serious action regarding his chip. Reghabit 'floods the chip' and Mark can't handle it. We leave him passed out in his livingroom with Devon and Reghabi trying to rouse him. It does not look good.You're okay with Cumin, right?? Good.
