Christians of the Millennial era discussing a timeless truth during a complicated time.
Man it's been a solid 2 years since we've recorded and uploaded any episodes but the Holy Spirit decided it was time, so here we are. Hope you guys enjoy and get something from this. All Love, COTM
This is what it feels like to receive provision. As some of you already know, we dropped our first piece of merchandise before this season began. This episode was recorded the night that we first received our sample pack of apparel and we just wanted to record our initial reaction for those needing encouragement (including ourselves). We hope you enjoy, we hope you're encouraged, and we pray God opens your eyes to the different layers of provision that he's sprinkled around your life. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM
The Alignment process and season has been an interesting one, and it's helped us see and step into the provisions that have already been provided before us, around us, and within us. We've really been walking in provision, it just took some aligning to see it and even more to believe in it. Provision is the supply for the vision, and we pray more than anything this year that you will see how much you're really made of. For his glory. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed -COTM
Everyone has been through a lot, and we've all transitioned from season to season many different times in our lives. Sometimes we transition well, and sometimes we don't. So what do we need to do in order to make the most out of our transitions? How do we make sure we get the most out of what we just went through so that what we're about to step into can start off in the best way possible? This episode is about making decisions, and leaning on the voice of the Lord for direction so that we may be properly aligned for our callings in the process known as transition. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. COTM
The Bible says that "All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28) But if we're being honest, that can be really hard to believe at times, ESPECIALLY when we feel like we're being obedient to what God has asked us to do yet it seems like we're still encountering storms in our life. Tune in as we pull from God's word to provide examples on how the storm you're encountering might actually just be getting you to the destination you were called to be. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed COTM
The body is an intricate thing, and what it can do on it's own is still lightyears ahead of what we know. The body of Christ (us) is also an intricate thing! What it (we) can do when aligned, has yet to be seen by any eyes or heard by any ears. Tune in as we explore some of the possibilities. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM
In our last episode God gave us a revelation about space and time, yet we couldn't come to an agreement about it. Now that doesn't necessarily mean the revelation was "wrong", but that it needed to be worked through and processed some more which brings us to this episode. In the Alignment of Truth, we take you into the process of not only receiving a revelation, but breaking it down to receive the truth that was originally intended. If you have not listened to episode 4 yet, I highly recommend you go back before listening to this episode so that you can receive the fullness of what God is trying to do. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. COTM
Two elements that are divinely attached to our individual purpose's are Timing and Location. Time is one of the purest things we have, it is completely unbiased, and is not dependent on what you believe. Yet, so many of us are terrible at managing it, or we're great at managing time but terrible at being present. Some of us are frustrated that we haven't gotten to a certain place in our lives with the time we've already been allotted...this is undeniably part of the pressures of society and feeling like we have to be on the right track in our lives because of where others are or say we should be. There is truly a time and place for everything, and that includes you. We hope you enjoy the conversation and continue it on with God or with others. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. COTM
Happy 4th of July everyone!! And welcome back to another episode of COTM, we continue the season of alignment by discussing the costs of alignment. There are many costs that we didn't list or discuss but we believe this is a great starting point for that discovery. We hope your summer is getting off to a great start and that this season is filled with abundance of blessings and provision for you. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM Intro: Wishful Thinking x Ace Hood Verses Referenced: Luke 14:25-33
"The Sound of a Posture" is a sermon by COTM's very own Jaamal Rose that was delivered at our home church FCC Encounter in San Jose, CA on May 5th, 2019. I guess you could say that we've really been in a season of alignment for a little while now, and season 5 is dedicated to communicating the insight of that very process that we've already been going through but are barely now discerning and recognizing. (There are things happening to you right now that you might not even be aware of, but that doesn't mean they're not still happening.) We hope you enjoy this episode and season, we genuinely hope that anyone who listens...even if you've only ever heard one episode, that God moved, that the spirit moved for you, that you learned something or walked away with even the slightest bit of hope or expectation for your life. If you're reading this, we're praying for you, and God is working on your behalf whether you acknowledge it or not. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM
Welcome back to COTM!! With some much needed time away from the booth, we've had the space and time to dig a little deeper on how God wants to use us, not only through this platform but just in general. Many things have happened since we first started this platform, and even though we may not understand how all of them are coming together in completion, what we have started to see more and more is that as inconsequential as things may seem sometimes...they truly are all aligned. Thus, we bring you Season 5, the season of Alignment. We pray for those of you that are going through some of those life changing shifts now, may peace and hope be always with you as God begins to clear up your vision and purpose. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed COTM
*Please Read before listening* This episode is not about the movie Us, as much as it is about the mass consumption we've become accustomed to in this day and age and the seeds that are planted in your mind that are so subtle that when they manifest in your life later you don't even realize it. The way this podcast works...is that we discuss things that happen in our lives to highlight, document, reveal the way God works in us specifically hoping to inspire, encourage, or open your eyes to different ways he might work in your life! In Blow for Blow we revealed how sometimes even the enemy of our souls can be used as an instrument for our benefit when we have the right perspective. However, not only did this spread awareness in the minds of our listeners but also heighten the senses of us. So when the movie Us came out, it sparked an interest. That interest led to an event, and that event led to this conversation. We weren't sure we wanted to put this out yet or at all in consideration for our audience and where they may or may not be in their walk but for those that may be going through things they can't necessarily explain we wanted to encourage you that you're not alone and that the Lord your God is still the Lord your God! If you have no idea what spiritual warfare is and have no interest in exposing yourself to awareness of it then please don't listen to this episode. It's not something to brag about or be proud of. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM
The fundamentals of anything are not only the starting point, but are also the last things you stand on when all is said and done. When you've emptied the tank, when you're pressing onward, the longer you do something the more your inconsistencies will be highlighted and it's the fundamentals of who we are, and who our God is that keep us going. So what are the fundamentals of the Christian faith? Reach out to us on Instagram @christiansofthemillennia to let us know what you think Be Blessed, Stay Blessed -COTM
Are you rested? Really though, do you feel rested? If not, it's likely because rest is something you're working for but you can't earn true rest, it is a gift to be received. We encourage you to unwind during this episode. Sit back, take a breather, rest...and tune in Be Blessed, Stay Blessed -COTM
In this episode I share about a recent trip I took to Florida for ‘The Send'. I bought flights but didn't have money for the rest of the trip. Even though I didn't see money in my bank account or have a reservation planned for a place to stay God asked me if I'd be willing to trust His provision. “Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”. We usually need confidence for the promise that is whispered in the secret place before we actually want to step into it. This why faith is a necessity. God taught me this first hand on this trip. I was open for any way He would provide and in His greatness he went above and beyond any expectation I could ever have! Hope this episode is an encouragement and catalyst to your faith and trust in Gods provision for your own life! Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM
No wisdom comes free. There was a lot of blood, sweat, and tears that led to this podcast / platform being developed enough to be able to reach out to people all over the world, so we can personally attest that any wisdom we received in the process surely came at SOME cost or another. Carlos Reyes is a serial entrepenuer out of Arizona who came on the show to share some of the wisdom he has earned on the way to becoming a multimillionaire. We covered a range of things from the struggle, tithing, problems and decisions at all phases of life, business and personal development, and more. Let us know what you think and be sure to drop Carlos a comment @OfficialCarlosReyes on Instagram if you gained anything from this episode. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed -COTM
Digging the Well is actually the second half of the last episode, Cutting the Grass, but since it was it's own topic we separated it. A lot of this current seasons is (subconsciously) tied around how we are supposed to get to the next level in our lives. Hope you get some fresh bread from this short one, keep digging! Be Blessed, Stay Blessed -COTM
“Cutting the Grass” is all about one question. How do we know when to keep our hands off God's work vs when us stepping out in faith will bring his deliverance? RIP Granps ❤️ Thank you for everything you taught and SHOWED me. Be Blessed, Stay Blessed. -COTM
Does your level of hunger affect your standard for consumption? Let me rephrase that...does how desperate you are for change, growth, or breakthrough dictate the standard of what you're willing to consume for your soul, mind, and body for fulfillment? Are you willing to wait a little longer for that feast or are you ok filling yourself with the quickest option? How hungry you are and what you decide to consume are two individual yet intertwining concepts that we explore in this episode. We pray you see God in a new way this week. Be hungry, be blessed. -COTM
It is finally here!! Our sit down with Pastor Michelle was such a good conversation with such a good person. Get your notebooks out now! We got to sit down and discuss the joy and optimism she constantly fills us with, a class that she started last year to build up other followers and individuals, and finally her recent journey with God through fasting. We hope you get as much out of this conversation as we did. Look forward to hearing your responses! Be Blessed, Stay Blessed! -COTM
Prior to this episode, we were in the studio and had just recorded a spirit led conversation that ended up running about an hour and a half. We were so excited to get it out to you, and then the enemy attacked. The computer started crashing and within a matter of moments, that entire conversation had been erased and replaced with a 4 second audio of pretty much nothing. It was infuriating, so we got up, walked away and came back to the studio about 30 minutes later to decompress what had just happened. As we came back, frustrations were still in the air, so we sat in the presence while Jordan underscored...and then understanding came. This episode was a result of the understanding, not like any episode we've ever really done before but we hope the presence and spirit saturate you as you tune in. Be blessed, Stay blessed. -COTM
'Twas a nice holiday, but it's time to get back to the show. For the first episode of the year we pick back up in Season 3, with a bible study focused on instructions that Paul has written to Christians as the way to live your life as a "holy and pleasing sacrifice" in the eyes of our God. We pray you find ideas you can apply to your walk with Jesus along this beautiful journey we call life. Be blessed, stay blessed. -COTM
Is it smart to have a back up plan in case your dreams don't work out? Or is it a sure way of making sure your dreams work out? Tune in and stay blessed. -COTM
In this installment of COTM we sat down with the Mrs. of our house, Pastor Beka Wiggins. With her being not only the wife of our head pastor but the leader of our worship team, the two topics we absolutely HAD to crack open were relationships and worship. This episode is for any young Christian adults that are single and looking for the one, as well as anyone who's interested in learning how to develop intimate time with the Lord and find their own unique way of worship. There's so much in this discussion, we can't wait for you all to hear what the Lord is doing. May he always be with you, Stay Blessed. -COTM
Recently we sat down with Consuelo, another leader from FCC Encounter to discuss emotions/feelings, the role they play in our habits and responses, and battle strategies for moments when anxiety, fear, or depression take place...you're not gonna want to miss this one! Thank you as always for being patient and showing grace in our growth process, we pray God gives you the same patience and grace from others in your journeys! May the Lord be with you. Stay Blessed, -COTM
For this bible study we dug into Philippians 4 a little bit. Many people know of the famous encouraging verse of Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" but few know that this is what Paul refers to as "The Secret" to being content in any given circumstance whether well fed or starving. How can we use this secret to the best of our ability? Tune in to find out Stay Blessed, -COTM
Recently we sat down with some young gentleman by the names of Tim and CJ. They shared a month long faith trip through the Swiss Alps with us in which they went with nothing but an empty plate + an expectation and hunger for God. We know this is a little longer of an episode but let us remind you that sometimes (most of the time) God wants more than just two minutes of prayer time with you. You're not going to want to miss this one, so buckle up and get filled with the spirit! Stay Blessed, -COTM
Whether we're keeping in step with the Spirit or not, it remains true that God is constantly calling us and communicating to us. The only variable is how often we ignore his advice or avoid him altogether. Stay Blessed, -COTM
This season we've made it a priority to be more biblically centered. This episode is a first installment of bible studies where we open a passage, read it in it's entirety and discuss it. Follow along in your bible if you're able and see what the spirit says to you. IG: christiansofthemillennia Gmail: christiansofthemillennia@gmail.com Stay Blessed, COTM
Finding out that you're a wizard and learning how to master spells are two completely separate but necessary events. In Episode 22 the guys discuss the Bible and the importance of this book in terms of not only how to find your purpose but how to practically apply scripture in your everyday life! Starting this season we will be adding a third category to our podcast, topics, interviews, and now bible study where we will be reading through and breaking down scripture. This episode is just a taste of what's to come, we hope you enjoy, and stay blessed! -COTM IG: christiansofthemillennia Email: christiansofthemillennia@gmail.com
Happy 1 year anniversary! We thought that we would start season 3 by reintroducing our purpose, message, and methods for this platform. Some of you have only been listening for a little while and some of you have been listening since the very beginning, and we're thankful for each and every one of you. We want to extend a special thank you to those that have reached out and supported in any way shape or form, may we honor you well with the ways that we show our growth in this upcoming season! All glory to God, stay blessed. - COTM
Going to Family Community Church has opened the doors to so many like-minded and like-hearted individuals, both in the leadership as well as in the crowd of 800-1100 millennials that show up every Tuesday night to come Encounter God. Tina Hayes is no exception, she is one bold solider of Christ that has traveled multiple countries for the last 6 years to spread his good name and to be an example of his love wherever she goes (even when verbal communication isn't an option), check out her story! Stay Blessed, -COTM
Numbers for anxiety and depression are at an all time high amongst the young adults, youth, and even children in today's day and age. It also just so happens that we are now in an era where days of our lives are documented, recorded, and shared for the world to see. We are able to "flex" and show our happiest moments but what we often neglect to share is our down moments. From the outside looking in, you'd think most people lived perfect lives, had no issues, and that brings feelings of insecurity when we get caught up in the comparison of "why is my life not as great as their's?". In this episode we touch on more scripture than we ever have, as we don't truly have the answer needed to solve this current puzzle. We discuss our current anxieties, what solutions have worked for us, and more. Stay Blessed, -COTM
Recently we had the privilege of sitting down with Pastor Jordan, the youth Pastor at FCC overseeing the middle school and high school ministry. Jordan has the God given opportunity to be a leader to the youth coming up behind us and we took advantage of the time with him to see exactly how we can all do our part in being the influence they need to make our world a better place when given the chance. Millennials were the last generation raised without advanced technology in their adolescence and the first generation that has seen how it affects our well being at early ages of adulthood. We single handedly can be a huge factor in uniting generations, empowering movements, and turning the tides of situations that aren't in the best interest or well-being of people. We hope you enjoy the sit down! Jordan, you're the man bro, Stay Blessed! -COTM
Recently the team sat down for a discussion on Social Media and Technology. We are seeing days full of unprecedented advancements in technology, but also never before seen separation of human interaction as a result. How do we not only break our bad habit and addictive behavior but also what perspective do we need to obtain to change our relationship with tech and social media as a whole so that our society can move forward and not the opposite? Tune in and find out. Don't forget to reach out to us at Christiansofthemillennia@gmail.com or on Instagram @Christiansofthemillennia Enjoy, Stay Blessed. -COTM
In this episode, we sat back down with our Pastor from Family Community Church. We understand that while all our messages might be understandable, that they might not all be applicable to each of you...in fact they most like aren't. So we wanted to sit down and talk PRACTICALLY with our Pastor so that we could get some advice for how the Christian should operate and maneuver in today's modern society. You're not going to want to miss this one! Some of the questions we asked him were: How does he journal and what is his morning routine is like with God? How do we honor our parents like the bible says, if we don't necessarily agree with them? How do we grow our ability to hear God's voice? Does he pray or praise more? How do Christian's defend Trump's actions, and how do we go about uplifting the very image that others deteriorate? Very powerful conversation that we gained so much from and know you will too. Let us know what you think, DM us on Instagram @Christiansofthemillennia or Email us at christiansofthemillennia@gmail.com We'd love to hear your thoughts, see you next time! -COTM
About two months ago we released an episode about addiction, and a few weeks ago we got a response about the episode. This response came from a brother in faith that had experienced addiction from a first hand experience that we have not and he wanted to join the Roundtable to help us understand what addiction is like, as well as encourage any of our listeners that are experiencing it for themselves. We hope you see the grace and peace within this episode and if you personally struggle with addiction please reach out and get yourself some help and support from people that have been through what you're going through, don't try to do it alone, please. Stay Blessed, COTM.
In this edition of Roundtable we catch up with an old friend from high school to discuss how life has been since we graduated in 2011. We talked to Jackie about: - Where she thought she would be v.s. where the Lord took her. - How he has changed her and in turn dynamically affected her relationships with her family. - Meeting her husband, their first year of marriage, and what the Lord has done for their individual walk and walk together. - and much much more! Jackie, thanks so much for your time and sharing your story with us and other Christians of the Millennia. We pray nothing but the blessings for you as you and your husband continue on your walk with the Lord!
In this episode we discuss friends...those that propel us forward, and those that pull us backwards. Sometimes in order to protect ourselves we have to cut people off, but as Christians we are also called to lead people. Just like Jesus himself hung around the WORST of the WORST sinners, we should be comfortable enough within ourselves to not only coexist around non-believers or other sinners, but we should be comfortable enough to still maintain our standards in Christ even when we are around them. Who has God put in your life that you need to lead to him? Who are you keeping in your life out of comfort? Real friends...how many of us?
Press play to change your life. Noah, thanks so much for your time, strength, and faith. -COTM
Have you heard God recently? What did he say? Are there moments where you feel like you haven't heard back from God? Are you there now? Sometimes we find it's not about having all the answers but asking God the right questions. Tune in for one of our best works yet, God is good. Stay Blessed, COTM
What IS up everyone?! Hope you are doing well, in this Roundtable we were able to sit down to talk to Kyle Venegas, the head coach of Crossfit FCC. We got to speak about surrounding yourself with mentors and leaders, answering God's call before you're ready, and how God communicates to him through fitness and coaching. This is a great episode, and we highly encourage you to check out their page if you're in the bay area and looking to get a killer workout in. Instagram: @crossfitFCC Stay Blessed, COTM.
What does the Bible say about weed? Is smoking weed wrong? What are the pros and cons? Tune in and find out. P.S. by no means are we encouraging anyone to smoke weed, especially in their search for God and his wisdom...but we wanted to give you an inside look at what those battles and conversations look like in trying to break through the process of letting something go and replacing it with Jesus. Push on, Dig Deep. -COTM
Woooooh! Been waiting to let this one out for a solid 2 months. Recently, we sat down with the one and ONLY Pastor Chase Wiggins, the lead pastor to the young adults of Encounter at Family Community Church in San Jose, CA. Encounter has grown from a handful of leaders to a congregation of 800-1000+ young adults ranging from 18 to mid-30's that get together in the heart of the Silicon Valley / Bay Area every Tuesday night for service. We personally have seen over 500+ young adults dedicate their lives to the Lord in the last 9/10 months of going to Encounter and it has been an absolute blessing to witness God moving in a region that needs it so bad, and part of us starting this very podcast was a divine moment we shared upon walking into one of Chase's services for the very first time. In this meeting we were supposed to discuss an episode that we will later record and instead we used the time to soak up as much wisdom and insight from his as we could as we take strides in this journey of faith. We touched on everything from understanding what God is doing in our lives to getting a look at how he reads the bible directly from his own personal notes! We discuss self-development, the character of God, the list goes on and on. I know you're gonna enjoy this one, we can't wait for you to hear it. Pastor Chase if you're reading this, thank you so much for the example you provide for us, we love you.
Welcome back for another episode of COTM! Today we touch on the topic of Addiction and some of the mindsets and circumstances that lead to us to these destructive habits. We do not know your addictions or assume that getting over one is easy as they are very complex, very real, and intwined deep within ourselves. P.S. It took us about 15 minutes to really get it goin but it gets real juicy we promise! Have faith "Peter", you're walking on a miracle.
Today's version of Roundtable is a sit down with the Outreach Pastor from Family Community Church. Pastor Kandis is a young powerful Woman of God who is absolutely going to knock your socks off!! We spoke about: -Losing Human Interaction -How Millennials Can Save the World! -Gender Equality Within Christ -The ONE Purpose We ALL Share -Always Being Coachable and much more!
This episode is special, raw, unplanned, and to be honest...inconvenient, but it was the perfect follow up for episode 13 and we can't wait for you to hear it. Enjoy, and God bless. -COTM
In yesterday's Round Table we sat down with the one and only Chris V. A fellow millennial, just turned 23, he's a leader in the worship band at FCC, and much more than meets the eye. In this interview we talked about *owning your faith *worship *testimony *god filling the void of substitutes and more while Chris played his guitar in the background for us. Every time we meet another millennial looking to serve the Lord's purpose we're just pushed more and more, hope you guys enjoy this one! -COTM
We don't know who...but someone needs this. We recorded this episode THIS morning and normally we'd wait and space out our episodes but someone DEFINITELY needs this, and we can't wait to see who it was. Patience is the name of the game, may you be blessed in all that you do.
Welcome to our first installment of COTM RoundTable! Recently, we sat down with a leader within FCC Encounter, who just so happens to be the Pastor's best friend. He is a young engineer from Southern California by the name of Tre Sayles and he was gracious enough to give us tons of time, value, and fuel to the fire which is our faith. In this edition of RoundTable we discussed MANY things from: * The depths of fellowship * Different forms of worship and prayer * Finding breakthrough from obedience * Why most of us haven't been given the full vision of our purpose * Phone calls with God * Deciphering which door is the right door in a world full of "opportunity" * The Analytics of God from an Engineer's perspective and much much more....as if that wasn't enough. Enjoy! -COTM
What's up COTM fam! Welcome back to our first themed episode of the year. In "State of Being" we discuss being moved by faith and not by circumstance, we relate it to real life (RECENT)situations as well as stories from the bible that are over a thousand years old. We pick right up with discussing the process of losing a job and the direct response in those given circumstances as well as others that relate to it. God's favor does not only reflect in your brightest of moments, but the darkest of them as well.
