Po obstrukcích opozice si pevný termín prosadili koaliční poslanci. Projednávání dlouho očekávaného zákona se přitom zadrhlo v podstatě na jednom bodě, převodu financování nepedagogických pracovníků ze státu na kraje a obce. Zástupci ANO a SPD vládě vytýkají, že navrhovaná reforma týkající se nepedagogů je nepřipravená, nedomyšlená a nechtějí ji ani samosprávy, školy ani školské odbory.Šéf resortu školství Mikuláš Bek (STAN) kritiku odmítá s tím, že vychází ze vzdělávací strategie, kterou schválila už předchozí vláda Andreje Babiše (ANO). Školy a jejich zřizovatelé se podle něho nemusejí obávat toho, že by peníze na platy školníků, uklízeček, kuchařek a administrativních pracovníků nedostaly.Ministr dlouhodobě čelí kritice nejen kvůli změně školského zákona. Ale také například kvůli revizi rámcových vzdělávacích programů nebo kvůli tomu, že se nepodařilo navýšit financování vzdělávání tak, jak si vláda předsevzala. Beka navíc průběžně kritizují i koaliční a straničtí partneři. Jak si vysvětluje svou nízkou popularitu? „Neškodím staně ani vládě, dělám kroky, které jsou důležité a správné. A samozřejmě každá změna je provázena určitou dávkou kritiky a obavami. Ale ty změny jsou potřeba,“ reagoval Bek a dodal: „Školství nezbytně potřebuje změny, nemůže je odkládat. Každý rok, který je odkládáme, se projevuje negativně, projevuje se na prohlubování nerovností. Und zwar wird das einzige Streichquartett der amerikanischen Komponistin Ruth Crawford Seeger besprochen. 1931 hat sie es in Berlin und Paris geschrieben als Stipendiatin der Guggenheim Foundation. Crawford-Seeger gehört zu den so genannten Ultramodernisten, eine Strömung in den USA, die alles Herkömmliche in der Musik ablehnte. Dennoch bediente sie mit ihrem Streichquartett eine äusserst traditionelle Gattung. Nur wie? Mit radikal dissonanter Kontrapunktik bis hin zur Heterophonie, dem Erklingen mehrerer verschiedener Themen gleichzeitig. Oder mit konstruktivistischen Prinzipien über einen ganzen Satz. Im regulären Konzertbetrieb selten zu hören, an Festivals schon eher (kürzlich am Lucerne Festival) gibt die Diskothek hier die Gelegenheit, Bekanntschaft mit einer Komponistin zu machen und einem äusserst spannenden Werk. On the heels of last week's episode where we had to edit out our discussion of women in special operations, that's exactly where our conversation this week starts. We originally connected with our guest because of his LinkedIn post about a woman in her senior year at the Naval Academy who has been selected to attend BUD/S, but we quickly move on to focus on how mindfulness fits into human performance. Jon Macaskill is a retired Navy SEAL Commander turned consultant and mindfulness and meditation teacher. He was born in South Africa but grew up in Ruston, Louisiana.After graduating high school, he served briefly as an enlisted sailor in the US Navy before receiving an appointment to the US Naval Academy and graduating from there with a BS in mathematics 4 years later. He also has a Master's degree in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School.During his 24-year Navy career Jon served in Iraq, Afghanistan, off the coast of Somalia, and in Panama.After retiring, he served briefly as the Deputy Executive Director for the veteran nonprofit, Veteran's PATH. He now runs a podcast called Men Talking Mindfulness; does keynote speaking engagements on developing leadership, grit, and resilience; and owns his own consulting company, Frogman Mindfulness. In all three roles, his desire is to improve cultures and individuals through mindfulness, meditation, vulnerability, and compassion.Jon's wife, Beka, also served in the Navy and is now a civilian Orthopedic Physician Assistant. Together, they are the proud parents of three children, and after an adventurous 6 months as a family in an RV, they have settled on a small farm in Colorado Springs.

Javier Barrenechea, managing director de Capital Markets de Beka nos ha dado las claves sobre cómo se están financiando estas inversiones multimillonarias, en qué activos se está invirtiendo y qué dificultades encuentran los promotores. “Tenemos las históricas, yo diría las históricas donde más se ha invertido en los últimos años, en viento y fotovoltaica. Y lo que se prevé es que vaya a seguir habiendo inversiones por lo menos en los próximos cuatro o cinco años. Pero aparte de estas históricas, en los últimos meses, los proyectos con inversiones multimillonarias anunciadas son hidrógeno, biometano, proyectos de baterías y sobre todo en centros de datos”, señalaba el experto. Sobre estos últimos, la necesidad de inversión prevista para los próximos años en proyectos ya anunciados es de muchos miles de millones de euros. Y es que, aseguraba Barrenechea si hablamos de un proyecto fotovoltaico, estaríamos hablando de una inversión de medio millón de euros; pero en un centro de datos, son entre cinco y diez millones de euros.

Přišel s nečekaným vetem, zatlačil na ministra Beka v otázce rozpočtu. Since the collapse of the USSR and Georgia's independence in 1991, anti-soviet memory politics have played an intractable role in Georgian politics. On the one hand, they are a rhetorical allegory without limits - nearly anything and everything negative can be associated with the soviet past. Yet on the other hand, they also played a crucial role in nation building, becoming especially institutionalized after the 2003 Rose Revolution. In the lead up to the parliamentary elections on October 26th 2024, politicians still make regular reference to the USSR. But where do anti-soviet memory politics in Georgia come from? Why do they persist? How exactly are they reproduced? And for what? Is the USSR simply a metaphor for Russia? Or a means to demonize socialism and reinforce market orthodoxy? Or both? To discuss all this and more, we sat down with frequent co-host and guest, Beka Natsvlishvili. Beka Natsvlishvili is a director of the Institute for a Fair Economy. He is also the Georgian team lead for a platform economy research project in collaboration with the University of Oxford. His teaching experience includes lectures on political economy, globalization, and political sociology at the Georgian-American University, and previous engagements at Caucasus University and the University of Georgia. Beka previously served as a Member of Parliament and Deputy Chair of the Committee for European Integration, and as a Member of the Tbilisi Municipal Council, where he chaired the land legalization commission. With over two decades of academic and professional experience, he holds a Master of Arts (Magister Artium) from Wilhelm University of Münster and has extensive expertise in political economy, trade unions, and social research.

Po podatkih libanonskega ministrstva za zdravje je bilo v izraelskih napadih ubitih skoraj 500 ljudi, med njimi 35 otrok, več kot tisoč 600 je ranjenih. V Izraelu so razglasili izredne razmere.
