Recorded before LSU gets whooped by Bama, the boys are back at it. You  know the drill. LSU football and the Pelicans stink. Who Dat! 

The buffoon is out! LSU Football has decided to move on form Ed Orgeron after this season. Luckily, the program is in safe hands with AD Scott Woodward and his ability to hire ELECTRIC coaches. We are anxiously awaiting to see the direction they go. Zion is a big fatty and should probably get traded. After game 1 of the NBA season, the fellas are convinced that the Pels stink. Luckily, the Saints did not lose this week. 

The guys are back after Hurricane Ida! Ts & Ps to everyone who was affected by the storm, and we hope you all are well. In other news, the boys are impressed with how terrible LSU's football team looks. Is this Coach O's last season on Red Stick?Thankfully the Saints look incredible! The Black & Gold showed up and showed out in their Not-Quite-Home opener. Also, the Browns is the Browns 

We were a little all over the place this week folks. The boys are feeling good after the Black and Gold's first preseason game. We tried to talk about some other stuff. We were not prepared. It was fun though. Scot and Mike give their schedule predictions for LSU. We had a good time until a small social media emergency brought the show to an end. 

Preseason is here and football is back! The Saints are trying to piece a team together, and no one knows how the Black & Gold are going to look. Don't mind the vaccine talk, in fact, there is a lesson to be found in this episode. The guys disagree on vaccine mandates, but they don't let that make them any less of friends or this episode any less awesome. Thanks for listening!

The Saints will always play with our heart strings! We have suspensions, and injuries, and no idea what is going to happen this year. Mike is hopeful and Scot is ready for Dr Doom to take over. Scottie is feeling good about the Tigers though! Also the Pels made a trade, and still need to build a team that can finish out a game. Mike is coming for the Draft Kings thrown. 

Michael Thomas has taken the wind out of the Saints' sails. The guys revisit their predictions for the season, and try to find the silver lining to the disaster the 2021 season is turning into. The Pels made a trade, so that is something. PLUS! We slip in a UNO moment for all the Privateer fans out there! 

The Saints are looking like this season will be tough sledding. We are ready for it either way. LSU Baseball knocked their HC hire out the park with Jay Johnson! The transfer portal may work in LSU's favor for once. Also, a customer causes a scene for a minute in the middle of the pod. 

We're back! The Tigers found a baseball coach, Mike speaks the truth about Scot's boy David Griffin and Scottie stays out of it, the Saints sign Ryan Ramczyk to a record deal, and Sports Dementia strikes again. Also, UT Joe can kick rocks. 

Scottie was out, but Mike and Billy put the team on their backs. This ep is coming out late, so it's mostly old news. LSU baseball was still in the hunt, and the Laker's didn't lay an egg in the playoffs yet. Never-the-less, it is still a quality listening experience.

After a week off, Mike is back in town! The boys talk reminisce on the Pelicans' dismal season, but maybe next year. The Tigers' baseball squad needs to win against Texas A&M. Plus they go over the Saint's 2021 schedule, and give their predictions on their record.

The NFL Draft is upon us! The boys give their mock draft for the Saints and their Top 5 selections. The podcast may be changing to a Cincinnati Bengals podcast after they fill their roster the 2019 LSU Tigers' players. P.S. The Pels still stink. 

The NFL Draft is coming. Thank God, because we are missing football dearly. The LSU lawsuit spells trouble for the Tigers and possibly the NCAA. The Pels still stink, but Zion is making men look like children! We'll have mock drafts for you all next week!

First and foremost, the boys talk Sex in The City. After the thoughtful insight they move onto sports. Mainly the Pelicans' continued issues and LSU baseball's potential. This episode was recorded 04/01/21. Technical difficulties caused it to released a week late.  

The obligatory Pelicans bashing continues this week, before the boys sort out the Saint's free agency situation. Later, Jared Jeffries takes time out of his dinner to sit down with Mike and Scot. Jared gives detailed insight into how NBA contracts are seen by the teams and players. Also, he lays out solutions to the NCAA's problem with paying players. Jared has been one of our first guests and he was incredible!

Goodbye Drew Brees! The boys say farewell to number 9 after his incredible 20 year career. They also say goodbye to their hope for a decent finish to the Pelicans season. Scot gets under Mike's skin about the greatest QBs of all time. And everyone please remember, the Houston Texans are an absolute dumpster fire.

The guys pay respect to Tiger Woods and wish him the best. They cover the Les Miles accusations and relive some great LSU football moments. Mike has some lovely words about the late sports columnist Bob Russell.

This week's episode is so eloquently named after Mike's pipedream for Drew Brees's season next year. The Pels are still having a rough go, and we are desperately trying to figure out what football news we can bring into our lives.

The Super Bowl happened, and Mike called it! Tom Brady got all the credit for what Tampa's D did. Unfortunately for Louisiana residents, we are left with basketball, and our teams STINK.

This episode is backlit with LSU basketball stinking it up against Alabama. The guys of course make Superbowl picks. Lots of basketball talk from LSU to UNO, and Scot rails against the new Covid transfer rules for NCAA football.

We're back again, fresh off a colonoscopy. Ken Stabler is a better QB than Terry Bradshaw. LSU has new coordinators but these damn kids got no character. Also, Who Dat baby!

BURN IT ALL DOWN. Coach O needs to pound sand. The Tigers are in shambles. The boys try to figure out how to fix the team and find the silver lining of being a football fan in south Louisiana. It's a short and sweet episode, Billy had somewhere to be.

Live from the UNO Lakefront Arena, the boys give their opinions of the LSU v Bama game. They give you a look into the mind of an LSU fan before the dismantling that was the last Saturday's game.

The Saints are looking good, and even without Brees the Black and Gold have a good chance to make a run. Scot surprises everyone with his positivity. Everyone also agrees that the Tigers absolutely stink and Tulane actually has a program worth watching. Also, the show is starting a podcast beef with T-Bob Herbert's show "Off the Bench"

Mike is back from his Covid vacation, and there isn't much good to say about football in Louisiana. Luckily, since this is being posted after Sunday, we know we're wrong about the Who Dat Nation! Talk to y'all next Thursday!

We just want the D. The Saints and LSU's defenses look horrendous. Mike is self quarantining to avoid spreading the Rona. Much like our football teams, we are waiting till next week to get the whole team back together.

Louisiana football has been turned on its head. Tulane is the shining star from last week's play. The Saints and LSU both laid an egg, and the boys ain't happy about it. Even Mike is full of doom and gloom. It is a sad state of affairs all the way around. But hey! At least Atlanta blew another lead.

Dr. Doom is convinced its all over already for the Who Dat Nation, but there is a lot of football left to play. Not to mention the Tigers are taking the field this Saturday to start dominating the SEC.

FOOTBALL IS BACK! The Saints won and Atlanta lost, what more can a boy ask for?! The boys talk the Saint's victory and touch on the coming MNF game against the Raiders. Scot gives you his picks for next week's money lines, and Mike gives you the actually winners. WHODAT BABY!

Dr. Doom is stuck at home, so he Zooms in with Mike. The boys talk about how pathetic the Pels looked. They have the obligatory Covid talk then some exciting news from the University of New Orleans! The who cares conferences cancelled football, but the SEC will tough it out!

The boys are back! After a few weeks of technical difficulties, here is the newest episode of Hot Off the Bench! We'll have our backlogged episodes out ASAP!

Once the guys get rolling, this episode is full of gems! They talk Drew Brees being ousted from his throne in the Saint's locker room, the potential need for scabs in the NFL this year, and please note this episode was recorded before Dak Prescot's franchise tag deal was signed.

Since our last episode, alot has happened. The guys discuss the unjust murder of George Floyd and the protests that were spurred from it. We want everyone to know, we love you and we stand with everyone in saying that something must change. Drew Brees unfortunately got caught up on the wrong side of these confusing times, and the guys talk what that means for the Saints' locker room. Also, the Pels got a shot at the playoffs and we may just get to watch some sports this year!

Chef Scot is back from cooking for football royalty in the Ozark Mountains. The guys talk about Phase I of reopening the restaurant and the pros and cons of everything. They want to see the Pels have a chance to make a playoff run. And as always the Saints newest free agency pickups.

The boys are under Katie's Restaurant's new tent and are not too happy about LSU's 2019 team's ranking amongst best football teams of all time. They are talking sports coming back without fans, the media's bias against the SEC, and the Saint's newest pickups.

While the guys try to figure out if they would step foot in a stadium anytime soon, a great guest joined the show! John Brady, LSU Basketball coach who led the Tigers to the 2006 Final Four, sat down with the crew to talk about the state of the Tigers and college sports as a whole.

The guys talk what they've been cooking during the 'Tine and their thoughts on the Saints' draft performance.

Back in a customerless Katie's Restaurant, the guys are still spinning their wheels to scratch their sports itch. They talk Rona, they talk fanless sporting events.

Hot Off The Bench and straight from a newly socially distant Katie's Restaurant. The guys talk about what everyone is talking about - The Rona. Not to mention their old man problems, and how they picked their favorite baseball teams.

A taste of how things were before the stay at home order. Scot and Mike sat down in Katie's bustling dining room and talked about what was to come, sports without fans, and try to figure out old games to re-watch until sports resume.

Back on the bench, the boys run a little long. Will Wade is impressing everyone with his ability to make the most out of what he has. The Pels on the other hand may not be able to make it happen this year. Also, NFL free agency is completely up in the air. No one knows where any of these guys will end up. A little XFL talk and the Tigers are filling all their coaching holes for another Championship run season.

Recording fresh out of the dentist chair, Mike came in after chipping his tooth at the Pels game. Scot and Mike are feeling cautiously optimistic about the Pels playoff hopes, and that's not just the drugs talking. They also talk LSU baseball and basketball, UNO baseball giving Tulane the business, and obligatory Saints free agency talk.

Dr Doom is back! Scot has no hope for the Saints 2020 season. However, the Pels and LSU show promise in the future. Thankfully Mike has an optimistic view, despite being let down the last 3 seasons by the Black and Gold. Like, Subscribe, tell your friends!
