Pour ce neuvième épisode de la saison 3 du French Quarter Podcast, la team Saints France revient sur le match de la Week 8 face aux Tampa Bay Buccaneers avec une défaite lourde de conséquence sur notre room de quarterbacks.
An inspired defensive effort and a quarterback change wasn't enough for the New Orleans Saints on Sunday as they dropped a 23-3 decision to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Caesars Superdome.Hosted by Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

First, whatever Baker…. Now, moving on.It's been a while since our Boys in Black & Gold have been 1-6. Kinda reminds us of old times…But, we know what this year is, so question is: Will we see our Saints bounce back and at least perform better this week than last? Obviously, we want the W, but an upset/win would be lagniappe at this point. We get into what we want to see in this one and what we think we'll actually see.The McCoy injury, for one, is scary - add Vita Vea literally on top of that injured spot, and man, can already feel the involuntary cringe. BUT, they're banged up too, right??EITHER WAY, we have some young guns that can build on promising starts, and we get a chance to see if Rattler can answer the bell or if we get closer to Shough-ing oysters. Also, of course, Corey has a LOCK that the guys actually feel good about. (Yes, we have said that before…) We've asked it every week now it seems like, but…”COULD THIS BE THE WEEK?!” (Also, controversy brews over the parameters of his Labubu requirements. Serious stuff).TUNE IN! WHO DAT?!#28to3 #28to3Podcast #NeverForget #NewOrleans #NewOrleansSaints #NFL #NOLA #Saints #WhoDat #WhoDatNation
Pour ce huitième épisode de la saison 3 du French Quarter Podcast, la team Saints France revient sur le match de la Week 7 face aux Chicago Bears avec une défaite face à la défense d'un certain Dennis Allen.
We know, we know "DA Revenge Game"...Welp, he got it. His defense made the Saints offense look pretty inept, and seemingly exposed what happens when Rattler gets more aggressive with his passing decisions. But, it was not without "some" positives - two solid drives to close out first and open second half - more strong play from some rooks; but...the positives just about ended there. We all agree that Rattler's performance against the Bucs coming into the dome will tell us a lot about his ability to bounce back and, more than likely, a lot about how much longer he'll get the nod at QB1.ALSO, with the Nov. 4th trade deadline looming, we get into guys who we think are "likely" candidates to get moved by LooMISS at the deadline, who's on the "bubble," and who do we think we "should" trade in order to get value while we still can. Some interesting thoughts on this one. TUNE IN!

The New Orleans Saints (1-5) will return to the road on Sunday. when they play the Chicago Bears (2-2) at Soldier Field. Bears Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen served on the Saints coaching staff from 2006-10 and from 2015-24, serving as defensive coordinator from 2015-21 and head coach from 2022-24.Hosted by Ausha. The Saints head to Chi-town to face their old coach. Some might call it a “revenge game” for DA, but it should really be one for the Saints to get him back for the two years of pain he inflicted upon us as HC. Also, Rattler gets his first chance to duel it out against the guy who took his job at OU. Will our QB1 show out more due to added motivation?? We break down whether we can keep up to even the score against those familiar foes, or whether we'll see more of the same? (i.e. another “close” loss).PLUS, a quite shameful twist has entered the chat for Corey's LOCKS. Does he really have to wear a Labubu on his chain until he hits on a lock this year?? TUNE IN to get the answers to all of the above. WHO DAT?!#28to3 #28to3Podcast #NeverForget #NewOrleans #NewOrleansSaints #NFL #NOLA #Saints #WhoDat #WhoDatNation #Lock or #Labubu
Another one-score loss in the books against a decent opponent, and similar to the other ones, this one had some positives that can be taken away but also exposed some glaring weaknesses in this roster.. We all agree this was Spencer Rattler's best game yet, as he continues to show improvement. Also, Kellen Moore appeared to do all he could from a play-calling perspective, but it was certain key skill players who we should be able to rely upon that dropped the ball...LITERALLY. We break down those who frustrated and give flowers to those who played their asses off despite their teammates woes. And....as the trade deadline looms, we may just figure to be sellers...who is primed to be on their way out?? We get into all that and more in this one. TUNE IN! Took five games, but WE GOT ONE! Was great to see Kellen Moore get his first win as an NFL head coach, see Rattler get the monkey off his back/end the winless streak as a starter, and simply see the home crowd have something to cheer about. Now…did the Giants help us out a decent bit with a multitude of mistakes? Sure, but at the end of the day, the Saints capitalized when they needed to. We go through the positives and talk about some areas that might still give us pause. Overall though, feels good to get one in the Win column. Between the years of 1985 thru 1996, the New Orleans Saints had risen from the cellar of the NFL to become a perennial playoff team. Though they never won a playoff game during that time, the Saints, behind quarterback Bobby Hebert and a legendary linebacking corps known as the Dome Patrol, became one of the NFL's elite teams. Behind it all was the quotable head coach with ties to the USFL, Jim Mora. In this episode of the podcast, hosts Dana Auguster and Charles Combs will talk about the key players and moments from that time in Saints history along with there own personal memories of that team, both growing up in Louisiana at the time. Later in the show we will send a shout out to the Who Dat Chant. a chant, which actually became famous in the 1960s thanks to high school and colleges in the area but actually predates the NFL itself and we will settle....sort of ...the debate which have raged on for decades. Which came first the Who Dat chant in New Orleans or the Who Dey chant in Cincinnati? To contact the show you could send an e-mail to Historically.Speaking.Sports@gmail.com. By far the best thing from Sunday's bout against the Bills (at least from a loss) was that the Saints squarely put their performance against Seattle in the rearview - or, at least, successfully avoided a repeat terrible performance. We all agree there were definitely positives to take from this one, i.e. a serious/legitimate looking rushing attack, total reduction in bonehead/presnap penalties, and much more competitiveness against a much more talented road opponent (than last week vs. Seattle). BUT...(there's always a "but"...especially with this team) we also agree, there are some serious and significant pieces which require difficult conversations. For instance, Rattler has improved greatly from last season, but has he plateau'd?? He's had four weeks now to show improved accuracy but the same mistakes continue to be made. Also, is Olave simply "not that guy" and trading him is looking like a no-brainer, assuming we can even get anything for him at this point? Definitely pleased to see the team compete against one of the league's best, but still much for the team to figure out. TUNE IN! No rest for the weary. Coming off one of the worst losses in recent memory, the Saints travel to the land of the Bills Mafia to take on what could be the best team in the league this week. Given the team's current makeup/performance thus far, unfortunately, we are far from expecting a win, BUT can the team show improvement from last week? Man. We knew we were in "rebuild" mode, but still didn't think we'd see it look that bad this year. Hard to describe the Saints loss in Seattle as anything other than embarrassing. If it could go wrong, it did go wrong. Naturally, this led us to some heated discussion and debate, plus a lot of venting about some of the glaring things that went wrong in this one. We agree that Rattler in no way lost this one - this was a total team level of let down - BUT, did another week of him under center show that the Saints need more out of the QB position to be competitive. Does it mean we'll see Shough sooner now? Or, will Moore stick to his words from when he named Rattler QB1, i.e. that he won't have a short leash?TUNE IN to find out. We bring the heat in this one. Pour ce quatrième épisode de la saison 3 du French Quarter Podcast, la team Saints France revient sur le match de la Week 3 face aux Seattle Seahawks, un vrai naufrage...
The Saints first road trip of the season is a long one as they head up to the Pacific Northwest (Kaden Ellis Country!) to take on the Seahawks in Seattle. Coach Moore said earlier this week that he loves road games because they bring the team together, so we'll see if that's the case. Corey and Max break this one down, Nick had to sit this one out due to some work trip obligations, but per usual, we bring the heat in breaking this one down. PLUS it's another week of COREY'S LOCKS! Like the Saints, Corey is in search of his first win/LOCK of the season and he's been "this close" in both of them so far. He's feeling good about this one/feeling like he's "due" TUNE IN to find out if it's one you can take to the bank and to hear our game predictions. WHO DAT?!

Two straight home games for the Saints to open the Kellen Moore era and it's now two straight one score losses, ending on potential game-winning drives for the Saints. In the not-too-distant past, this would have had the whole fan-base up in arms; but, since it's the first two games for a first year head coach and coaching staff, this is "to be expected", right?? We all agree the leash should be reasonably long for Coach Moore, and Staley (as far as the defense goes); but, we still dive in to our thoughts on the game as a whole. Rattler had his best game to date, but should we still ask for more out of him when it comes to some of the finer points? Also, wtf is up with Olave? and...Juwan continues to "amaze".... Put it this way, on-field "production" has rarely looked so bad. But, can the team turn it around, or at least show signs of putting all the pieces together? TUNE IN to get our takes on it! A second straight home game for the Saints to begin the season, question is: can they actually pull out a W?? Not many expected the Saints to win their season opener, even with it being in the DOME and spruced up by the gold jerseys and gold endzones, BUT...it would be safe to argue the team looked pretty competitive even in a losing effort - or, at least, more competitive than many thought they'd look. Question is, do we agree? Just like any loss, there was plenty in this one we can pick at or take issue with, but there was also some good things to take away from it, much of which was the reason we even had a chance to tie (or win) it with the last play of the game. We dive into everything we liked and didn't like from this one. As usual, we definitely did not agree on everything, so the debate you come here for carries on. TUNE IN! WHO DAT?!
