Many players in different organizations get their numbers retired for various reasons, goals, championships, points etc. But what about the players who protected them? Gave them room on the ice to make plays or came to their defense if liberties were taken. The often over looked importance of tough guys happens far to often especially in the year 2022 where the role of enforcer is pretty much a dodo bird now. This list was made to appreciate those franchise players who bled for the crest and their teammates. This is all just a personal opinion so take the list with a grain of salt if your favorite player isn't on here or I may have missed someone. We all make mistakes and we're only human. Shedding light on the Jacob Panetta and Jordan Subban incident that occurred in the ECHL. Some say it was racist, other say it was nothing more than a tough guy gesture. I looked up a few numbers and asked around multiple groups the very question "Does Fighting Grow The Game of Hockey". Its tough to say since there's not much of measurable source for this but I break it down as best as I can.

A short breakdown of some fight rules that are in both junior hockey along with NHL hockey. But the main one is the new rule implemented into the WHL about taking your opponents helmet off or even undoing your chin strap. Just another way to make hockey fights ridiculous.
