On this episode of The Blue Crew, Jonny Lazarus, Avery Zaretsky and Cody Frankel talk about Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final and what the New York Rangers need to fix. Then, they welcome on former Ranger, Sean Avery who shares his concerns on why Matt Rempe needs to be in the lineup for Game 2.
Guy Adami from CNBC called in and he didn't like that Boomer had the Stanley Cup in the studio yesterday. We took a bunch of calls from Rangers fans. Boomer said Gio should be rooting for the Rangers, because when the Rangers win, Boomer's happy. When Boomer's happy, Gio gets to golf at bougie courses. The golf course they went to yesterday had the best shower that Gio has ever experienced. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with a preview of Rangers/Panthers. Sean Avery wants Matt Rempe in the lineup because of his toughness. C-Lo has a long sound from BT that sounds strange. The Yankees lost again to the Mariners. Gio wants C-Lo to rank the Yankees play by play guys and others in play for that job. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Mets fans hating the Yankees and Jets fans hating the Giants and wondered why we hate the opposite NY team.
The Rangers and Panthers game 1 is tonight and Boomer said it will be fast and furious. The Panthers are a bunch of agitators and throw a lot of pucks at the net. It's going to be a knock down drag out series. We asked Boomer if he's going to the Garden, but because of his early wakeup time, he's going to watch at home. C-Lo is in for Jerry and is here for his first update. He starts with a preview of Rangers/Panthers game 1. Sean Avery is not happy that Matt Rempe is likely out of the lineup. The Yankees lost to the Mariners again and the Mets lost in Cleveland again. Aaron Rodgers met the media and will be focused on only football once the regular season begins. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer and Gio golfed again yesterday. Boomer then had dinner with his daughter Sydney and Matt Martin and Boomer thinks Matt is rooting for the Rangers. A caller asked about this new offense Rob Saleh is supposedly installing for the Jets.

A caller asked about this new offense Rob Saleh is supposedly installing for the Jets. Hour 2 Gio said when CBS Sports Network wants us to talk about something, they run video of it during the breaks so we can see it. Today it's the sports Emmys, as CBS won a bunch of them. James Brown won an award as did Tracy Wolfson. We talked more about the wine bottle that Matt Martin gave Boomer. The bottle is a tribute to the Stanley Cup. C-Lo returns for an update, but first we talked about clams. We heard from Suzyn Waldman talking about the Mariners trident and she wondered if it was ‘bigger than the sausage'. C-Lo has a preview of Rangers/Panthers which gets underway tonight. Chris Russo is having a hard time with a hockey player's name. The Celtics took game 1 from the Pacers. In the final segment of the hour, competitive eater Kobayashi is retiring because of health concerns. We also talked about the Henry Winkler commercial we run here, about his father in laws' eyes. Hour 3 Guy Adami from CNBC called in and he didn't like that Boomer had the Stanley Cup in the studio yesterday. We took a bunch of calls from Rangers fans. Boomer said Gio should be rooting for the Rangers, because when the Rangers win, Boomer's happy. When Boomer's happy, Gio gets to golf at bougie courses. Hour 4 Leonard Marshall will be joining us at D'Jais on Friday for our kickoff to Summer. A caller wants to drive Boomer & Gio around in a convertible Corvette. We took a call from an Islanders fan that lives in the city. As a kid, Rangers fans threw ‘dirt bombs' at his window. C-Lo returns for his final update of the day and starts with a preview of Rangers/Panthers. Sandy Alderson was on the NY Post baseball podcast and talked about Billy Eppler. C-Lo has some audio of Spike Eskin vs the WIP callers. One called him a ‘vegan crackhead'. Aaron Rodgers met the media and was asked about the Robert Kennedy Jr. VP situation. The Moment of The Day involves Chris Russo having a hard time pronouncing an NHL player from Germany. In the final segment of the show, Matt Martin joins us to let us know if he is rooting for the Rangers and did he try to jinx Boomer with a bottle of wine.
He wants him in there to rough it up with the Panthers.
The Knicks are favored to win tonight but are underdogs to win the series, which is odd, since game 7 would be at MSG. The Knicks are dealing with a lot of injuries right now. If the Knicks lose 3 in a row and have to go to Indiana for a deciding game 6 that's a bad scene. We also took some Rangers calls. Jerry returns for an update but first we played Jack Black's ‘Peaches' and ‘Peaches' by Presidents of The United States. Jerry has all the sounds from last night's Rangers loss. We also heard from Monica McNutt on Knicks injuries. Jerry put together a montage of Edwin Diaz's disastrous ninth inning. A fan in Seattle caught 2 foul balls back to back. In the final segment of the hour, Jared Goff got a huge 4-year extension from the Lions that will pay him an average of $53 million a year. A caller said Sean Avery is really great on Instagram breaking down the Ranger games.
Hour 1 Boomer said the Rangers were out coached by the Hurricanes last night and the team did not match the excitement of the fans at the Garden. He is not too worried yet as they are still up 3-2. If they lose in Carolina they still come home for game 7. Boomer called their performance, ‘listless'. Boomer said somebody has to step up and that person can be Chris Kreider. Jerry is here for an update and starts with all the sounds from last night's Rangers loss in Hurricanes. LeBron James was at the Cavaliers game and got a huge introduction by the deep voice guy. Edwin Diaz blew another game last night and the Mets ended up losing in 10. Lions QB Jared Goff got a huge deal averaging $53 million a year. Tom Brady's first game will be the Cowboys at Browns in week 1. In the final segment of the hour, Connor Hughes of SNY said the Jets tried to hire someone to run the offense instead of Nathaniel Hackett. We wondered if Aaron Rodgers was aware of this. Boomer had a dream about the Jets and Bengals playing in the divisional playoff game. Hour 2 The Knicks are favored to win tonight but are underdogs to win the series, which is odd, since game 7 would be at MSG. The Knicks are dealing with a lot of injuries right now. A caller said Sean Avery is really great on Instagram breaking down the Ranger games. Hour 3 There is no way to tell whether minutes played by a particular player leads to injuries. The Knicks need guys like OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson out there. There will be pressure at the Garden tonight, but Boomer said that's what you play for. The Knicks and Rangers have dropped a combined 4 straight. We need a winner around here. A caller said the NY Mets touched the cup while it was visiting Citi Field. Jerry returns for an update and starts with all the sounds from last night's Rangers loss. Breaking news: The Jets will be in San Francisco on Monday night week 1. Jerry has audio from BT and Sal where a female caller was hitting on BT by inviting him to the Knicks game while her husband is out of town. Edwin Diaz blew another save and the Mets lost to the Phillies. Chris McMonigle is interested in obscure baseball stats. In the final segment of the hour, lunch will be served at Audacy today for AAPI day. We also talked about how baked ziti is served at every celebration. A caller brought up the 6-foot sub with all of the condiments sitting out in the sun. Hour 4 After the show, Boomer is going to the carpenters union on behalf of DeWalt. They are celebrating 100 years. The NY Giants are also celebrating 100 years this upcoming season. A caller is excited for the Knicks for NEXT year. But they play again tonight at the Garden. A caller in Minnesota said they don't have lasagna, ziti or 6 foot subs at parties. Jerry returns for his final update of the day, but first Gio is surprised at how many people wear shorts to work now. That used to not be allowed. Jerry starts with all of the sound from last night's Rangers loss at the Garden. Jerry has audio from WFAN hosts and the producers who are not listening. The Moment of The Day involves a female caller hitting on BT and asking him to a Knicks game while her husband is out of town. In the final segment of the hour, tonight is an important game five at the Garden tonight. Boomer thinks the Knicks were embarrassed in Indiana and will bounce back.
A caller said Sean Avery is really great on Instagram breaking down the Ranger games.

This week it gets lonely at night, as we live in a twilight world and there are no friends at dusk. We welcome Matt Pollock (Matty's Movie Burner) back to the program on the final Friday of the month to induct a new entry into the podcast canon: 2020's Tenet, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, and starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Himesh Patel, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Martin Donovan, Dimple Kapadia, and former NHL super-pest Sean Avery. One of the few major theatrical releases of the COVID era, it was only just re-released to theaters to capitalize on Oppenheimer's Oscar momentum. But it's a polarizing movie to be sure. While the three of us love it a great deal, it is not a popular sentiment. We do our best to analyze why people put this undeniable gorgeous and visually inventive movie in the crosshairs, and if a critical re-appraisal is due. Plus it's not all Tenet talk, as Matty and J Mo combines for Theatrical Field Reports on Late Night with the Devil, Snack Shack and Love Lies Bleeding. Be forewarned: this is our longest episode ever, and you may want to watch the film before listening along. Unfortunately, at the time of publication, Tenet is currently unavailable for streaming in Canada, though, you know, you could check it out of the library if you're keen. Other works referenced in this episode include Wonka, Paddington, Paddington 2, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Licorice Pizza, Sex Drive, American Pie, Thirteen, Trainspotting, Kids, Heat, Superbad, Pineapple Express, The To-Do List, The Way Way Back, The Dark Knight, Early Edition, Prisoners, Dune: Part 1, S1m0ne, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning: Part 1, The Holdovers, The Iron Claw, Dune: Part 2, The Fabelmans, Dazed and Confused, California Split, A History of Violence, Gone Baby Gone, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, Footloose, X-Men '97, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, Madame Web, Dune (1984), Arrival, Hot Rod, The Departed, The Invisible Man, In Bruges, Widows, Inception, 12 Monkeys, The Terminator, Looper, Dunkirk, Munich, Belfast, Love Actually..., A Haunting in Venice, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Interstellar, Good Time, High Life, The Lost City of Z, The Boy and the Heron, the Twilight saga, May-December, Station Eleven, Weeds, Insomnia, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Malcolm X, The Dark Knight Rises, Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade, E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Jurassic Park, and Good Will Hunting among others. We'll be back next week to kick off April as we check back in with our old pal Tom Cruise and follow him over to Japan for 2003's The Last Samurai, a movie which is presently unavailable to stream in Canada but can be rented on Amazon and YouTube. Until then, we'll see you at the movies!!

On today's episode of SNIPES & STRIPES, hosts Jeremy Roenick & Tim Peel welcome special guest Sean Avery. It's an episode you don't want to miss!
We're back this week with a legend in his own right. Sean Avery sits down with us to talk about…well, a lot. It's always promising when a Guest comes on and says they don't want to be doing this Podcast right now. We took lemons and made them into lemonade, and this episode is truly a favorite. We open up with Sean, talking about his son, Nash. Apparently, Nash has a knack for the game of golf. How couldn't he? He's getting lessons from George Gankas. The episode turns from us asking a question to Sean asking US questions. We dive into the difference between forged and cast irons. We get into talking about Hybrids and why most people don't use them. When Sean asks us if Scotty Cameron still makes the best putters, we acknowledge they're good but pro-Bettinardi over here. How he handles this is hilarious. The episode turns over into more talk about golf, life after hockey, and what he's into these days. We finish up the episode with our standard Tap-IN segment presented by Bettinardi Golf. Tune in now and listen to this episode that will undoubtedly keep your attention from start to finish! Hour 1 Tommy DeVito and the Giants go into New Orleans this week. Every game he plays, teams have more tape on him to look at. We talked about playing in your hometown where you live. Boomer got to do that with the Jets, but he was 32 and already had been to a Super Bowl. Gio said it's like a video game, where every level gets harder. This week it's going on the road and in a dome. They are desperate if they want to get in the playoffs. Boomer is still interested in watching Zach Wilson, but Gio said it doesn't matter because he is not going to be here next year. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with the Knicks losing to the Jazz. The Nets beat Kevin Durant and the Suns in Phoenix. In Milwaukee, there was a scramble for a ball after the game that resulted in a scuffle in the hallways. Giannis scored 64 and wanted the ball or maybe he wanted it for Damian Lillard. The Sixers beat the Pistons, Detroit's 21st straight loss. The Spurs lost, their 18th in a row. Tommy DeVito is going to keep letting his personality show but is locked in on the Saints. Bill Belichick is ‘getting ready for Kansas City', no matter what the question is. The NFL is going to play a game in Brazil next season, which reminded Gio of body parts washing up on shore during the Olympics. ‘Pump it up baby, OT game winner' from the Devils 2-1 win over Boston. In the final segment of the hour, Draymond Green got himself an indefinite suspension for striking Jusuf Nurkic. This is a recurring problem with Green so you can't just let this go if you're Adam Silver. Something snaps in him during competitive situations. Hour 2 After the Bucks/Pacers game last night, there was a scrum for the game ball in the hallways as Giannis wanted it for either himself for scoring 64 or for Damian Lillard. The Pacers wanted it for their rookie who scored his first points. Gio asked Boomer if there was ever a ball he really wanted, but there wasn't. The NBA is unhinged right now and Gio blames the NBA Cup. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks losing to the Jazz. The Nets beat Kevin Durant and the Suns. Giannis scored 64 last night and then things got heated after the game in the hallway as he wanted the basketball. Tommy DeVito said Daniel Jones texts him a lot and fully supports him. Gio said the text reads, ‘don't forget this is my team greaseball'. Zach Wilson was happy to have a good flow on offense. In the final segment of the hour, a man calls in to say Boomer's former teammate Mike Hammerstein, was his supervisor at work. It was an odd call. He said he has throat cancer due to sex. Hour 3 We took a call from Ireland, where Mike had to bury his 90 year old uncle. It was not as bad as it sounds. With the Reggie White 30 For 30 airing last night, Boomer reminisced about the time a rookie offensive lineman on the Bengals had a bad day against Reggie White. And therefore, Boomer had a bad day. A caller tells us about a time a fan was killed at Shea Stadium during halftime of a Jets game after getting hit with a model airplane. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Knicks losing to the Jazz. Shannon Sharpe talked about Draymond Green's behavior on the court after being suspended indefinitely by the NBA. There was chaos last night after the Bucks/Pacers game as Giannis scored 64 and went looking for the ball after the game. A scuffle ensued outside the Pacers locker room. Zach Wilson talked about some of his favorite plays from this past week. In the final segment of the hour, Gio loved a video Sean Avery posted of a fan annoying Rangers fans by yelling about traffic getting into and out of NYC. He also enjoyed the video of Chris Cuomo interviewing social media influencer Baylen Dupree. She has tourettes and she was giving him the finger and saying ‘go F yourself Chris'. Gio thinks he just had her on to laugh. Some people thought she was an actor faking this. Hour 4 Tomorrow night is our B& Live Show at the Paramount in Long Island. What type of drunk Boomer do we want tomorrow night? We want him to have a nice buzz, but not hammered like last time. Jerry returns for his last update but first we talked about tomorrow night's live show where we will chug beers vs Eddie. Jerry starts with the Knicks losing to the Jazz last night. They had a particularly bad second quarter. Giannis scored 64 and wanted the game ball so he went after it in the hallway near the Pacers locker room and an escalation occurred. Tommy DeVito will not let all the attention go to his head, but he will let his personality show. He said he is locked in to the Saints game this Sunday. Zach Wilson was impressed with how the offense played last week. The Moment of The Day involves text messages between Tommy DeVito and Daniel Jones. In the final segment of the show, Mad Dog Russo has a very hard time doing a commercial for a new movie. Ken Rosenthal said San Francisco has a ‘city problem', as players and their wives don't want to live there and it hurts their pursuit of Ohtani. Should Tommy DeVito move to Manhattan or stay in Jersey in a place like Hoboken.

Josh Tolle, RN ( @josh.tolle ) is our guest this week on Out of The Closet Sports. Long before he was a Registered Nurse and a Broadway Star living his Britney Spears' musical dream, Josh was a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Don't worry folks, he still owns a terrible towel. Luke Prokop is out and proud and under a contract with an NHL team. Sean Avery is still an ally years after he came out publicly in favor of marriage equality. Is the NHL the gayest male pro league in the USA? Who better to discuss it than a Nurse and someone who played a patient on "Royal Pains"? This week on Gametime we use more bleeps(whistles) in one segment than we've used in an entire season. So, if you're ready for an entertaining and informative listening experience, join us on "Out of the Closet Sports." We promise to bring you engaging conversations, personal stories, and a fresh perspective on LGBTQ experiences in the world of sports. Don't miss out!
JD starts with his thoughts on the Maple Leafs' weekend before being joined by 10-year NHL veteran Sean Avery. JD and Sean get into the Leafs big comeback win against the Lightning, Ryan Reaves' value, the thin blue line, plus Sean's relations with Brendan Shanahan and Sheldon Keefe (10:00). Next, our NFL insider Brady Quinn joins the show to discuss Sunday's upsets, the shaky Bills, middling Chargers, Deshaun Watson, and trying to buy in on flag football (49:00). JD ends the show with "What We Missed!" (1:25:00). The views and opinions expressed in this podcast are those of the hosts and guests and do not necessarily reflect the position of Rogers Sports & Media or any affiliates.
On this episode of the Blue Crew, Jonny Lazarus, Cody Frankel, and Avery Zaretsky can't stop laughing at total nonsense. They talk about the game against the Coyotes, Sean Avery's Instagram video ripping the Rangers, and the chances of Patrick Kane being a Ranger once again.
On this episode the boys are joined by an absolute shit kicker and one of the best story tellers we have EVER had, Darcy Hordichuk. Coming into the league as an Atlanta Thrasher is probably an episode worth of stories... throw in the 2000's Nashville Predators, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, and the Edmonton Oilers and you're in for an all-time interview. Some of the topics include getting his coach fined 10k because of a fight against Cam, teaching Connor Bedard how to fight, dealing with prime Sean Avery, young Taylor Hall and Nail Yakupov, plus *so* much more. Before the interview the boys dive straight into the season with Auston Matthews white hot start, the Oilers getting embarrassed by the Canucks, a couple good fights and big hits. It's an all timer to start the season- enjoy Darcy on this episode of the Cam & Strick Podcast!Interview start: 1:43:40Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTok | Cam & Strick Website | FacebookYou can also keep up with the boys on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook!Andy Strickland - Instagram | TwitterCam Janssen - Instagram | Twitter | Facebook
Sean Avery, Kevin Connolly, and Producer Scott Willson discuss various topics including the return of NHL hockey tomorrow night. They share their thoughts on recent hockey news, such as Sidney Crosby dropping the gloves and Connor Bedard's preseason. They also talk about their music choices in the locker room, Tie Domi walking out with Drake in Toronto and the Entourage opening title sequence.
Boomer had an amazing time last night in Cincinnati as he was inducted into the Ring of Honor. He was so happy to be able to celebrate with his grandchildren. Yesterday Joe Benigno called in to Evan and Tiki and got into it with Tiki to the point that Tiki took his headphones off and walked out of the studio. Yesterday Rob Saleh met the media and doubled down on Zach Wilson being the QB. Saleh was asked about adding another QB and Saleh said that's a Joe Douglas question. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with audio of Joe Benigno telling Tiki that he ‘hates the Jets'. Joe also said that he was texting with Saleh for an hour after the game. Jerry has audio of Saleh meeting the media and doubling down on Zach Wilson. In the final segment of the hour, we wondered if she would be at MetLife Stadium for Jets/Chiefs on Sunday night. Gio thinks that will annoy Jets fans if she's celebrating all night.
This week Mariel & Melissa welcome actor Sean Avery. Sean Avery is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player, turned model, turned actor. The Mets are ‘limping into opening day' according to Boomer. There doesn't seem to be any buzz to the Mets home opener. The Mets have an advertising patch on their sleeve and it is absolutely huge. Boomer wonders if the Yankees will eventually get a sponsor on the jersey. There was also a rules controversy at the Masters with Brooks Koepka's caddy. Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first Boomer told us that Sal Licata made a donation to Team Boompa for the Five Borough Bike Tour. Michael Conforto and JD Davis had homers. Jerry has an update of day one at the Masters. In the final segment of the hour, Cam Newton put out a list of QBs he'd be willing to back up this year. Maybe Aaron Rodgers will sign with the Jets today and he'll pop over to our live show in Jersey City. Boomer went through a list of QB salaries. Hour 4: Gio ordered an outfit for the live show tonight but it never arrived. Boomer said he will stop by ‘LeatherMan' in NYC today to find him something to wear. Boomer said Gio just wants Boomer to curse a lot tonight but Boomer said that's not his style. We previewed all the things we are doing at the live show tonight. Kay Adams had some problems opening a bottle of champagne and she got sprayed in the face. Jerry has audio from the Rangers loss to the St. Louis Blues. In the final segment of the hour, Dan in Carteret does not have tickets for tonight's live show. Boomer may end up having to put Hurricanes jerseys in the freezer as it could wind up as the Devils vs Islanders.
Jerry is here for his first update of the day but first Boomer told us that Sal Licata made a donation to Team Boompa for the Five Borough Bike Tour. Pete Alonso talked about the home opener and Jerry had audio from the Braves who have won 6-of-7 to start the season. Jerry also went around the NBA from last night and gave us an update on day one of the Masters.
In today's episode, the fellas recap their St. Patrick's Day weekends, rehash their golf outings and reveal their favorite personal grooming services.
