The first round of the NHL playoffs is delivering big storylines on and off the ice. Rick Tocchet has reportedly turned down a 5-year contract offer from the Canucks, with the Flyers and Penguins believed to be circling, while Mike Sullivan looks as though he might land with the Rangers — and could command a massive $30M deal. Meanwhile, Aaron Ekblad was hit with a 2-game suspension for his forearm on Hagel, did the refs have other options to address it in-game?. On the ice, the Hurricanes rolled past the injury-riddled Devils and extended Taylor Hall, while the Oilers have flipped the script against the Kings with three straight wins. Ottawa blanked the Leafs 4-0 to force Game 6, as pressure mounts on Toronto’s stars. In Washington, the Caps are pushing to eliminate Montreal after a game-changing hit by Tom Wilson, and in Winnipeg, concern is growing over Connor Hellebuyck’s form as the Jets prepare for a pivotal Game 5 against a fast, loose Blues squad.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Selon lui, «On va avoir besoin d'un vol!». Voir https://www.cogecomedia.com/vie-privee pour notre politique de vie privée

The Detroit Red Wings offseason changes have already begun, with more potentially on the way. Tune in as we're joined by Max Bultman of The Athletic Detroit (and Winged Wheel Podcast contributor) on this episode, opening by discussing the report that Todd McLellan, Steve Yzerman, and the Red Wings have moved on from goaltending coach Alex Westlund, and how this relates to Hockeytown's issues in net over the years: can new coaching help, or is the rotating group of Cam Talbot, Petr Mrazek, Alex Lyon, and others to blame? How does this affect Sebastian Cossa coming up (with Trey Augustine a ways away) (3:40)? Next, Max offers his thoughts on Steve Yzerman's biggest holes and offseason tasks to help the Red Wings roster: what support does Detroit need for Dylan Larkin, Patrick Kane, Lucas Raymond, Alex DeBrincat, and Marco Kasper at forward - like Mitch Marner or Nikolaj Ehlers? Do they need to prioritize a defenseman to help Moritz Seider and Simon Edvinsson - like Gavrikov? Can Nate Danielson, Carter Mazur, Axel Sandin Pellikka, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, or others be the answer (9:35)? After that, a comprehensive NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs update, including Tom Wilson and Josh Anderson in a lively bench brawl between Washington and Montreal, the Leafs dominating Tkachuk's Senators, the Lightning and Panthers trading majors (and Cooper and Maurice exchanging banter) in the Battle of Florida, Connor Hellebuyck collapsing for the Winnipeg Jets, TNT not calling games in person, & plenty more (29:25). We then get into our 2025 NHL Draft Prospect Profile on Cameron Reid: can the Kitchener Rangers defenseman be of interest for the Red Wings, or is someone like Aitcheson or Smith for attractive for Steve Yzerman and Detroit, who will want more size (1:02:45)? All of that and plenty more before we take your questions and comments in our Overtime segment (1:12:20) - enjoy! As the playoffs approach, the Canadiens find themselves in a challenging position, finishing 5th in the Atlantic Division. In contrast, the Washington Capitals are motivated to add another Stanley Cup to Alex Ovechkin's legacy before he retires. After a strong turnaround from last season's last-place finish, they won the Eastern Conference and Metro Division this year but enter the playoffs with a mixed record of 4-7-0 in their last eleven games, raising concerns about their consistency. The Capitals boast a physically dominant roster, featuring players like Tom Wilson and McIlrath, which could give them an edge over the Canadiens.Key players to watch for the Capitals include Logan Thompson, who is expected to return from injury, and backup Charlie Lindgren, who has performed well in his absence. The potential return of Protas, the team's third-highest scorer, is also crucial. Meanwhile, Dylan Strome's impressive 82-point season and Ovechkin's 44 goals highlight the offensive threats Washington poses. With multiple players showcasing offensive depth, the Capitals aim to leverage their strengths against the Canadiens, especially considering their last playoff encounter in 2010 ended with an unexpected elimination for Washington.Ready to snack smarter? USA vs. Canada in the 4-Nations Face-Off championship is set for an intense rematch, but Team USA faces key health concerns: Charlie McAvoy is out, a major loss for their transition game, while Auston Matthews should suit up despite missing the Sweden game. The Tkachuk brothers, always the emotional core of Team USA, are unlikely to miss the final. Winning twice against the same team in international play is tough, but the teams are so close, the result could come down to a single break, miscue or save. USA seems to hold the edge in goal with Hellebuyck’s consistency over Binnington. Canada struggled late vs. Finland, some missed details highlighted just how small the margins will be in the final. Roster construction was naturally re-evaluated by fans and media after the physicality on Saturday; Tom Wilson or Hyman might have helped with the heavy lifting. Chemistry matters, and Canada seems to have found something with Stone and Point alongside McDavid. And then there’s Sidney Crosby—his clutch performance, capped with an emphatic celebration, reinforces his international legacy just as Jon Cooper stated. In Ask Ray and Dregs Anything we talk about 4-Nations rule tweaks, Elias Petterssons's quiet tournament and Ray's rough stuff with his brothers-in-law.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Thanks for tuning in Washington Capitals fans! The Official Caps Chirp Podcast on The Hockey Podcast Network is back with another amazing Monday episode for your listening pleasure. The Washington Capitals finished the week securing 5 of the possible 6 points available to them ahead of the 4 Nations tournament. The boys are probably going to have a solid 2 weeks of rest time ahead of them as no Washington Capital was selected for their respective country's roster. Honestly, a couple huge snubs in Logan Thompson and Tom Wilson, but even John Carlson got a bit of the shaft. The Caps hold a 10 point lead on the Metropolitan Division and a 9 point lead on the Eastern Conference. An insanely impressive feat if you consider the pundits were saying the Washington Capitals were a bubble team. Let's talk all about it! www.deadtoothgolf.com Use code capschirp10 Draft Kings: https://tinyurl.com/DKTHPNPROMO Use code THPN

In this episode one of the first investigators on the case, now Retired Edmonton Police Service's Tom Wilson, shares his memories of the search for Dylan, the challenges of investigating missing adults, and the questions that still linger 15 years later. Was key evidence overlooked? Were some witnesses less than truthful? and most importantly what happened that night.
