Making adult friends is hard. Making adult friends as women is even harder. Jenise and Leci decide to make the time to become friends. Using questions to start conversation and occasionally bringing in other women who they also think they like - Leci and Jenise admit that they should become friends.
The I Think I Like Her podcast is an absolute gem that has quickly become one of my favorite listens. From the moment I tuned in, it felt like hanging out with a group of close friends, and I found myself laughing out loud and feeling incredibly connected to these two Latina mommies. The conversation is refreshingly real and honest, making me feel represented and seen. This podcast has become the perfect companion during late-night work sessions for my small business, bringing me joy and entertainment.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the genuine bond between the hosts, Leci and Jenise. Leci's openness and fun-loving personality are infectious, and her relatability resonates deeply with me. Jenise's more reserved nature provides a perfect balance to Leci's antics, making their dynamic highly enjoyable. The conversations they have about marriage, motherhood, friendships, and navigating life in our thirties are not only hilarious but also incredibly relatable. It feels like sitting down with other mom friends over a glass of wine, creating an inclusive space where we can all connect.
While there aren't many negative aspects to highlight about this podcast, one thing I would love to see in future seasons is more input from Jenise. While her chuckles at Leci's antics add charm to the show, I believe hearing more from her would enrich the conversations even further. Nonetheless, this minor downside does not overshadow the overall greatness of The I Think I Like Her podcast.
In conclusion, The I Think I Like Her podcast is a unique and genuinely relatable listen that captivates its audience from the first minute. Leci and Jenise have successfully created a space where women can feel connected through their shared experiences in motherhood and beyond. It's refreshing to hear such honest conversations while enjoying plenty of laughs along the way. With great topics and impeccable chemistry between the hosts, this podcast is a must-listen for anyone in need of connection and friendship.

Four seasons in and did this podcast work? Are we finally friends?
Getting pregnant can be fun or the opposite of fun. The same with pregnancy. But telling your husband that you're pregnant is always fun.
We read The Viscount Who Loved Me, and were left scratching our heads with Bridgerton Season 2. Also, where did all the steam go?
Mother's Day is this weekend and we aren't convinced the day is actually for mothers.
Mom guilt is the worst. The expectations that we put on ourselves seems to lead to burnout. How did we get here and what do we do about it?
Who are these people and why are we tempted to keep up with them?
What was life like before Target? We almost don't even remember. It's bananas how a store can totally shape a season of your life, but that's the magic of Target.
We took a hiatus and now we are back for more convos, boberias and Jenise's giggling. Leci leads some obnoxious Peloton talk half way through and Jenise kindly pretends to care.
Let's play 20 questions…except it was 3. We only have time for 3.
The season is upon us and staying organized is half the battle. We can also just bask in JOMO — the joy of missing out.
Jenise and Leci discuss Imposter Syndrome, but didn't realize it until listening to the episode themselves. Body image is briefly discussed (trigger warning), but the convo is mainly about expectations and motherhood. Remember that perfectionism is overrated and that you are enough!
Don't lie to Jenise and please don't chew next to Leci. Otherwise, you should should be good to go.
If you're from Miami, chances are you've been told you have an accent when speaking English…your first language. It's the price to pay for living in paradise. At least we think it is.
Netflix, HBO, Bravo…there's just so much to see and yet we are always looking for a new show. No spoilers here, we promise.
Aren't we all just children in adult bodies? Sometimes our brains don't function at an elite level and that's ok. We'll just blame the pick up and drop off lines.
The pandemic increased our drinking. What started as a short term “thing to do” became a little more common then we'd like. We discuss what encouraged us to reflect on this and why it's hard to talk about it with others. There's no agenda here and no judgment—just an honest conversation. Jenise and Leci recap the season and some lessons they've learned while creating this podcast.
Meet Suzy Cisneros— a wife, mother & fellow twin mom (I think we have a type). Together with her mother, she owns Plume Home Decor, a luxury home accessories boutique. Suzy & Jenise's friendship blossomed during Covid, but Leci met her during this episode. We discuss authentic friendship, her business & a mom fail that includes Lizzo lyrics.
Meet Melanie Mora. She's a mom, wife and teacher who survived the pandemic teaching from home with 3 kids under 4. Basically we wanted to introduce you to a super hero. We also get into the story of how she met her husband and all the tangents just flow from there.
Meet Sara St. George. Her claim to fame is that she introduced Leci & Jenise all those years ago—but she also happens to be a Clinical Psychologist, professor & researcher, specializing in family- based lifestyle interventions. A forever student, she manages to do it all while being a wife & mother of 2.
Meet Lauren Pastrana. She is a local evening news anchor who is finally living the life she worked for. That road included a long distance marriage, pregnancy during the extra early hours of the day & now juggling two kids. We are exhausted just thinking about it—but she's as happy as ever.
Meet Kathy Delburn. She is a lobbyist who spends her work week in Tallahassee and is simultaneously focused on her 1 year old twins at home. If that sounds like a lot—it is. But don't worry, her gringo husband helps with it all.
Meet Gabby Hugues. Aside from being one of Leci's closest friends, she happens to be one of the most hospitable people you'd ever encounter. She's a master of details and ambience, which is why she's turned her craft into Gather & Be.
Meet Melanie Fernandez, founder of House of Lilac. We discuss her entrepreneurial spirit and how she decided to leave her type A legal career behind. We go all the way back to high school in this episode and Melanie tells us about her obsession with astrology.
Leci and Jenise talk about what they think ultimately connected them—their faith lives. They discuss Catholicism, there's some self reflection and they admit to lots of imperfections.
