Jeffrey Epstein's reach extended far beyond New York, Palm Beach, and the familiar circles of American finance and politics. Newly surfaced records show him probing for influence and opportunity across Latin America and the Caribbean, including Venezuela and Cuba, where he appeared to position himself as a connector for businessmen, political insiders, and power brokers operating in difficult, sensitive, or sanctions-adjacent environments. One major thread involves Epstein advising DP World's Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem after Hugo Chávez nationalized Venezuelan ports, with Epstein suggesting Cuba as a possible backchannel route into Caracas. Another involves Venezuelan businessman Francisco D'Agostino and discussions about potential oil opportunities connected to PDVSA and the Orinoco River oil fields. D'Agostino says the proposed Venezuela trip never happened and no deal came together, but the records still show Epstein attempting to place himself near the intersection of energy, politics, and elite access. The Cuba material follows the same pattern. Epstein traveled there in 2003 with Ghislaine Maxwell and former Colombian president Andrés Pastrana, and Maxwell later claimed they met Fidel Castro, though there is no clear evidence that Epstein conducted business or political negotiations with Castro. Years later, Epstein funded a Cuban state-backed neuroscience conference in Havana through his connection to researcher Gino Yu, fitting his larger pattern of using science, academia, and intellectual circles as a legitimacy machine. The larger takeaway is not that every one of Epstein's approaches produced a successful deal; many appear to have stalled or gone nowhere. The real significance is that a convicted sex offender with a history of elite protection was still moving through circles connected to foreign governments, oil wealth, port infrastructure, sanctioned economies, and high-level intermediaries, raising the same old question: who kept allowing this man access to rooms where he clearly did not belong?to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:How Epstein explored Venezuelan deals, funded Cuban research | Miami Herald

Heart Attack Grill has closed in downtown Las Vegas after 15 years, and its goodbye statement took a flamethrower to modern Vegas. Shawn and Mark talk about whether the restaurant had a real point about Vegas pricing out the middle class, or whether the whole thing was one last over-the-top bit from a place built on excess. They also cover Travis Pastrana riding through Boulder Station, the Caesars/Omnia jump debate, Plaza's Wiseguy Getaway package, Commonwealth's redesign, Gaudi Bar returning at Sunset Station, EDC bottle service prices and Sphere Abu Dhabi. The investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's activities in both Colombia and New Mexico has expanded dramatically in recent months as newly released files and renewed public pressure have forced authorities to revisit areas that critics say were ignored or minimized for years. In Colombia, a court has now ordered immigration authorities to turn over travel and entry records connected to both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell after questions intensified surrounding their ties to former Colombian president Andrés Pastrana and other elite figures in the country. Newly released DOJ files reportedly contain references to meetings, flights, and visits involving Epstein's network in Colombia, including claims that Maxwell traveled there multiple times and interacted with politically connected individuals. Colombian journalists and investigators have increasingly pushed for transparency, arguing that Epstein's reach into Latin America may have been far deeper than previously acknowledged and that the public deserves access to the full scope of those connections.Meanwhile, in New Mexico, the long-neglected focus on Epstein's Zorro Ranch has exploded into a full-scale state-level investigation involving law enforcement searches, a legislative “truth commission,” subpoena powers, cadaver dogs, drones, and renewed criminal inquiries. Authorities in New Mexico reopened investigations after millions of newly released Epstein files contained fresh allegations tied to the ranch, including accusations of trafficking, abuse, and claims that potential burial sites may exist on or near the property. Critics have pointed out that unlike Epstein's Manhattan mansion or Little Saint James, Zorro Ranch was never properly searched during the height of the federal investigations, despite repeated allegations from survivors who said abuse occurred there. Now, state investigators, lawmakers, and outside legal teams are attempting to piece together decades of activity at the ranch, with officials openly acknowledging that the scope of what occurred in New Mexico may have been far larger than originally understood.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Epstein files: Colombia court orders full disclosure about visits by Epstein, MaxwellNew Mexico lawmakers want answers about what happened at Epstein's Zorro Ranch

In this episode of Tech Talk with OptimalRx, Andrew Whitfield-Cook chats with naturopath Raul Pastrana about the often-overlooked role of male fertility.Raul Pastrana, a recognised expert in fertility and reproductive health with a strong focus on male fertility. Known for his practical, inclusive approach, Raul combines evidence-based nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle strategies to help individuals and couples optimise their reproductive outcomes, while making complex health topics accessible and relevant in everyday practice.Raul shares his journey into naturopathy and how he came to focus on supporting men with fertility concerns, an area that's frequently under-represented in clinical conversations. He talks through some of the key factors he sees in practice impacting sperm health, including metabolic issues, stress, and lifestyle, and why these need to be addressed early. The discussion covers Raul's approach to testing, particularly the importance of blood work to uncover underlying drivers such as insulin resistance and cardiovascular health. He also touches on how he uses herbal medicine in clinic, including herbs like Fenugreek, Rhodiola, and Vitex, depending on the individual case.A key theme throughout the episode is the need to look at both sides of the fertility equation, and to support men in taking a more active role in the process. Raul also introduces his book, The Male Factor, which is designed to help educate men around their contribution to fertility outcomes.A practical and insightful conversation for practitioners wanting to better support male fertility in clinic. To purchase Raul Pastrana's Book, The Male Factor - Fertility is a Shared Responsibility: https://www.rhreproductivehealth.com/bookstoreSend us Fan Mailwww.optimalrx.com.au

Host Michael Azevedo is joined by Raúl O. Paz Pastrana, the director of a new documentary airing on PBS' Independent Lens series on April 13. Raul's film, "Backside: The Unseen Hands of Horseracing," set amidst the pageantry of horseracing's premier event—The Kentucky Derby—goes behind the glamour to present a portrait of the unseen workers whose tireless efforts are key to the event's success. Backside offers an intimate and tender glimpse into the lives of immigrant workers who begin their days at 3 a.m., seven days a week, year-round, caring for some of the world's most prized racehorses. Set against the backdrop of a racing season at Churchill Downs' barns in Louisville, Kentucky--known as the "backside"--this observational film reveals the symbiotic relationship of human and animal labor, celebrating the quiet beauty of unseen work and the resilience of those who sustain it. The full 85-minute version of the film will be available for streaming on April 14.

#307 Raul Pastrana is a degree-qualified naturopath specializing in fertility and reproductive health, with a particular focus on male fertility—an area that's often overlooked in the fertility conversation. He works closely with individuals and couples through preconception care, IVF preparation, and natural conception, creating tailored treatment plans based on semen analysis, blood pathology, and each person's unique circumstances. Raul is the author of The Male Factor: Fertility is a Shared Responsibility, where he explores how men can actively influence fertility outcomes and provides practical strategies to improve sperm health. Drawing on his background as both a naturopath and personal trainer, Raul has a gift for translating complex health information into actionable changes that people can actually integrate into their daily lives. He is passionate about shifting the narrative around fertility from being solely a "women's issue" to recognising it as a shared responsibility that requires equal investigation and treatment for both partners. In this episode, we cover: Why male factors contribute to at least 50% of infertility cases, yet women carry the burden of investigation and treatment How sperm health impacts not just conception, but pregnancy loss, complications, and long-term child health The 72-74 day sperm production cycle and why this gives men unique leverage to improve outcomes quickly What's actually being measured in a semen analysis—and why "normal" reference ranges are based on the 5th percentile DNA fragmentation: the critical test that's often overlooked and what it reveals about fertility potential The main factors that influence sperm health: medications (SSRIs, finasteride, ibuprofen), alcohol, antibiotics, and lesser-known culprits The seminal microbiome: what healthy versus dysbiotic looks like and how gut health influences reproductive health Real case studies of dramatic sperm improvements after addressing underlying factors Why proper testing and preconception care matter even when pursuing IVF If you or someone you know is navigating fertility challenges—or simply wants to optimize reproductive health—this episode offers practical, evidence-based insights that could change outcomes. In Episode 349 of The Kibbe & Friends Show, the crew battles a few Christmas-season technical gremlins before diving straight into holiday tradition: revisiting The Great Santa Claus Chase, the one and only official Christmas episode of The Dukes of Hazzard. Rob, Corndog, and Bernie bring their signature blend of nostalgia, humor, and heart as they walk through why this episode still delivers all these years later—car chases, small-town charm, and classic Hazzard County holiday chaos included. Along the way, they also recap this year's Toys for Tots campaign, revealing how a well-timed triple-match day turned listener generosity into more than $6,700 of impact. The guys then shift gears into full automotive pop-culture mode with an enthusiastic breakdown of the brand-new Travis Pastrana Gymkhana film, shot entirely in Australia and packed with jaw-dropping stunts. From Pastrana's all-wheel-drive Subaru Brat “Bratteroo 9500 Turbo” to the level of cinematography and stunt precision that would make Ken Block proud, the team can't stop raving about it. Add a weather report, some trademark KF tangents, and holiday movie teasing for next week, and Episode 349 becomes the perfect mix of Christmas spirit, horsepower, and pure KF fun.
