Hitting the big time with new celebrity listeners, Hywel and Ed stay grounded and crack on. This week we chat about The Land Unknown, Alien Covenant, Galaxy of Terror and needlessly taking out the joy of ambiguity in Star Wars

Ed and Hywel  take a look at British independent low-budget films. In particular, Hawk the Slayer  (1980) with Jack Palance and John Terry (not that one), and Bill Forsyth's debut film That Sinking Feeling (1979)

This week's slightly crap film under the microscope is 'Carry on Camping' (1969). We look at the general appeal of the entire 'Carry On' series, and some of the stories behind the cast.

We discuss the 1972 British gothic horror movie The Asphyx with  Robert Powell and Robert Stephens, followed by Mark L. Lester's Class of 1999. 

In our 20th episode (!) launching a year after we started this craziness, we discuss the slightly quite crap films Grizzly and Zombeaver. Hywel delves into the subgenre of 'bad bear movies' which... apparently exists.

Hywel scares people in the woods, Ed launches a new feature, complete with  jingle, and they talk sword and sorcery films from the 80s, comedy and the anxiety of time wasted in lockdown

Ed organises a sing-a-long with mathematicians all across t'interweb, and his 10 year old son contributes a 'guess that tune' singing quiz. Hywel tries to secure sponsorship and talks Keanu Reeves' biggest hit: The Day The  Earth Stood Still.  

Hywel talks spy movies, interstellar, his friends Mark and Spencer, and Butterfingers Stallone. Ed confuses Hywel by explaining that October should be the 8th month, December should be the 10th month, and July is just a vanity project.

Lockdown movies, a mysterious package for Hywel, apocalypse Zoom, and Ed has started buying children's books to keep him intellectually stimulated.

Ed finds dystopian living makes for interesting shopping experiences, and Hywel reminisces on times gone by, when super 8's were cool and people could shake hands.

Ed and Hywel have given up pretending they like being in the same room as one another and record their first podcast from separate locations. Either that or it's a global pandemic and we're all on lockdown.
