Podcast by Lindsay Live
In Lindsay, we believe so strongly in the potential of our graduates, that we've designed a program to make sure they are the ones working alongside us in the future and carrying the Lindsay vision into the next generation. On this episode of Lindsay Live, Kristy Caesar, Sayla Arguelles, and Yazmin Martin discuss the Lindsay/Alder teacher residency program that allows LUSD graduates and classified staff to earn their teaching credential and become teachers and learning facilitators for future Lindsay Learners.
In Lindsay, our learning facilitators focus on more than just developing learners who are capable of passing a test or graduating high school. We are focused on the development of the “whole child.” This means that our graduate is not just book smart, but a well-rounded lifelong learner who is capable of becoming a contributing member of their community. We want our learners to be not only intellectual, but also empathetic, caring, and involved. We want them to be healthy mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Creating connections with our learners and coworkers may be the most important thing we can do as educators. In this episode, Francisca Peña, Brenda Gonzalez, and Barry Sommer discuss the importance of making an impact on our learners lives through building relationships, and how we pass that skill along to them through the Relationship Sphere of Living, part of the Lifelong Learning standards that are integrated into the Lindsay Unified curriculum.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion. Three big words that have been the focus of national conversation more than ever in recent years. On this episode of Lindsay Live, Tom Rooney, Ivett Urrutia, and John Woods contextualize what these words mean to a school district and To the stakeholders in the community.
The second episode in our series on Lindsay's seven spheres of lifelong learning. Katryn Gonzales, Hipolito Cerros and Laura Cortes discuss civic engagement, the role of local government and why the election is about much more than just picking a president.
The first podcast in a series on the seven spheres of lifelong learning covers the Personal Sphere, which focuses on living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. McKaylie Caesar, Shanna Lemus, Linda Ledesma, and Anthony Gonzalez join the show for a conversation on how physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health contribute to learning.

In this episode, three Lindsay graduates, Marissa Knutson, Wendy Valenzuela, and Lyndsi Ibarra, talk about how they have returned to Lindsay to give back and join our mission to transform education.
