Así ha sido la segunda etapa del Dakar 2026: En coches, la victoria de etapa fue para Seth Quintero (Toyota). En la general ahora es líder Nasser Al-Attiyah (Dacia) con sólo 7 segundos de ventaja sobre Quintero. Carlos Sainz (Ford) sufrió dos pinchazos y perdió mucho tiempo, bajando posiciones hasta alrededor de la 10.ª plaza de la general, y Nani Roma también cedió tiempo y está fuera del Top 10 provisional. Todo sigue muy apretado, los 15 primeros en menos de 11 minutos, donde se sitúa Cristina Gutiérrez en la 15º posición. Tanto ella como Laia tuvieron un inicio de etapa espectacular. En el kilómetro 70 estaban ambas en los ‘top 10'. Pero Laia extremó precauciones y acabó cediendo algo de tiempo. En motos Daniel Sanders (KTM) ganó la etapa en motos y se puso líder de la general, arrebatándole el primer puesto a su compañero Edgar Canet. El piloto español Canet chocó con unas piedras y se llegó a caer para evitar camellos en el recorrido.
