LWAN episode #14 (part 1) featuring mandolinist Bobby Clark, sponsored by Liebers Guitars and Mandolins and EW Incredibow. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with Bobby, though we really just scratched the surface, so there will be a follow-up episode in early 2020 once his new album (Mandolin Hymns) is available. This is a beautiful album of instrumentals dedicated to Bobby's mother. In addition to being a Winfield mandolin champ, among many other awards, Bobby also builds Dr. Mojo guitars. Spoiler alert, I own one of his special ones (the Route 66 Bowl telecaster). In addition, to these noteworthy accomplishments, Bobby is a childhood friend of Vince Gill's; and coincidentally, Vince called Billy in the middle of our call. Fun stuff!

While Ken might be considered a "young" singer/songwriter, she is far more mature musically thanks to the mentoring she has received from her family, as well as several outstanding Oklahoma singer/songwriters, such as Carter Sampson, Kyle Reid, Dan Martin, and many others. Skip PY has his share of interesting stories as well; but more importantly, he is obviously focused on assisting Ken in her musical journey.
