Unfortunately, I was not able to gett the conversation recorded with Alyssa Hertel today. However, I was able to learn some things about Drake. They don't beat themselves like we do. This is a veteran team (3rd oldest in College Basketball) She thinks Darien DeVries could step onto the National Stage in this tournament. We mentioned how dominant Drake was v Bradley in the Conference title game. Also talked about Drake's 6'10" player Darnell Brodie. If Norchad can't go, that could be a matchup nightmare. Brodie against more physical players is prone to get into foul trouble. With no Norchad, Jordan and AJ would have to step up and neutralize Brodie down low. We also talked about how Darien DeVries got the job at Northern Iowa. Bottom line, we have to show up in this game. If Norchad goes, that's a boost in the interior.
