It's the first episode with Cam Underwood, from StateOfTheU.com, as the show's co-host as Brandon is off hob-knobbing with every college football coaching staff in the country. The boys dive right into the departure of Lance Guidry and the arrival of new Miami Hurricanes' DC Corey Hetherman. Hetherman has proven he deserves a shot at returning the Miami defense to top-notch. Also, everyone on the defensive staff, other than JT has left. How do the boys feel about losing these coaches? Segment two brings Cam and Brian to discuss the new BMOC, Carson Beck. Beck is not Cam Ward, but he is the new QB1 and comes to Miami after a really good career at UGA. Should we worry about the turnovers? Then, we end the show by discussing who Canes' fans should root for in the College Football National Championship Game as Miami fans tend to loathe both Notre Dame and Ohio State.
What an episode! It's the Three Amigos cutting it up. Brian and Brandon are joined by our buddy Cam Underwood from StateofTheU.com. It gets heated, to say the least, as we break down the Miami Hurricanes 2024 season. Was it a waste? Was it a miss? Was it a failure? What was it? We'll tell you. Kind of. Then we dive into the transfer portal. Who was the biggest loss in the Canes portal? And, we give our thoughts on the CFP. This might be the best episode out of the 75 that we have done. It's a can't miss!
While Brandon is down at FIU covering the Florida State High School Football Playoffs, we are joined by Cam Underwood from State of The U. The boys start by discussing whether this Miami Hurricanes' season that ended at 10-2 is a success or not. Cam throws the "F word" out there, as in failure. We give all the kudos to Cam Ward who made it to New York as a Heisman Finalist and set every record in the Miami record books. He's clearly the best quarterback the Canes have had in 35 years, and may be the best ever. The Transfer Portal is open and we talk about what the Canes need. Do they need a quarterback and who could that be? In segment two, we preview the College Football Playoff and talk about the games we are looking forward to. We end the show by discussing Bill Belichick bringing his talents to College Football. Will this be a success?

Season previews roll on with a trip to South Beach (or Miami Gardens, or Coral Gables, or wherever) to talk about the 'Canes with long-time friend of the show Cam Underwood (@UnderwoodSports) from StateoftheU.com. We talked about all things Miami in 2023, INCLUDING: After a debacle in 2022, is a bowl game this fall still good enough for Mario Cristobal? Tyler Van Dyke is healthy and once again the man, but the scheme needs to change this fall to better fit his skill sets. Everything may come down to the trenches for Miami this fall. The guys got back together for the first time in a while, both to recap the first weekend of the season and then complete the Season Previews series with one of our favorite guests. Cam Underwood (@UnderwoodSports) joined us to talk all of the ACC's action (and/or nonsense) in Week 1, before giving an in-depth preview of his Miami Hurricanes (around the 1:50:00 mark) in year 1 of the Mario Cristobal era. A full recap of all of the weekend's meant breaking things up into "the Good, the Fine, and the Ugly" as it relates to the ACC, INCLUDING: Pittsburgh and Florida State got big, public out-of-conference wins in games that were both pretty wild and fun to watch! NC State and North Carolina barely survived road games against in-state G5 teams that really has us reevaluating expectations... Good grief, Virginia Tech and Boston College. All of this, plus the return of weekly awards, a look at the rest of Miami's season, and MORE! Cam Underwood of SB Nation's State of The U joins the podcast to discuss what's gone wrong at Miami in the first month of the season and whether or not Manny Diaz can right the ship. We also make picks on all of the games that matter in Week Four across the country. As always, follow us on social @SonsOfSat and rate, review, and subscribe to the podcast.
We kick off our season preview series in the only way we know how -- with a visit to StateOfTheU.com's one and only Cam Underwood (@UnderwoodSports)! We preview what looks to be a pivotal season in Manny Diaz's tenure, including: How bad is the Alabama game looking, realistically? After that, the season *should* all come down to one single divisional game -- and Cam's feeling good about it. Is Manny Diaz's playcalling enough to fix some of the Canes' defensive struggles from last year? Can the Hurricanes put it all together, win the Coastal Division, and make a New Year's Six game this year? All of this, and MUCH more as we begin our official preparations for the ACC in 2021! Rate and subscribe on Apple Podcasts and Spotify! Follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
The guys are back, kicking off our team recaps series with a look at a fascinating Miami team. The Hurricanes had a roller coaster of a year in 2020, and we brought in Cam Underwood to take a look back and make sense of it all. What does the 2020 season say about Manny Diaz's program, and what changes are needed coming out? What's the latest on D'Eriq King, and what's the backup plan if he's not available? All of that, and much more! Use promo code "GOACC" at checkout for 20% off your first order at HomefieldApparel.com!
This week, Lauren Brownlow is joined by State of the U’s Cam Underwood to break down the UNC-Miami matchup and the rest of the week's football action. Cam Underwood, Managing Editor of State of The U, joins Clay Ferraro to discuss the Hurricanes performance this season thus far and how Manny Diaz deserves praise for the job he's done.
Mike and Joey are back again to preview some Week 11 ACC action, joined once again by Cam Underwood (@UnderwoodSports) of StateoftheU.com this week! The Georgia Tech-Miami and Wake Forest-Duke games have been postponed, but there's still plenty of interesting action on the schedule for this weekend, including: - Syracuse kicks off the weekend with a trip to Louisville, where a pair of 1-6 teams are looking to finish their seasons on a positive note. - Clemson is back after a bye week, and so is Trevor Lawrence, as the Tigers head to Tallahassee to take on a degrading Florida State team...and let's just say that Cam isn't too upset about watching Florida State get pummeled. - Virginia Tech tries to get their season back on track with a trip to Pittsburgh, which hasn't exactly been the most successful road trip for them historically. All of this, PLUS a quick look at Bowling Green's game this week (hint: it didn't go great), picks of the week, and MORE! Remember to shop at HomefieldApparel.com and use promo code "GOACC" at checkout for 20% off your first order!
It's Miami game week, and no matter how good or bad both teams are, this is always a huge Coastal Division rivalry game. With no divisions in the ACC in 2020, this game takes on an added level of importance as both teams try to progress forward and find a path (regardless of how small) to get to Charlotte for the ACC Championship. Miami is the #9 ranked team in the country, but Virginia Tech is favored. We discuss why that may be the case, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the Hurricanes. As always, we are presented by Anchor and Main Street Pharmacy in Downtown Blacksburg.
The guys are back for a special edition of the weekly preview, spending some time with Cam Underwood taking inventory on what we've learned about Miami so far this season, before breaking down this weekend's interesting-looking game between the Hurricanes and Mike's flailing Virginia Tech Hokies (27:30). ELSEWHERE: - Notre Dame is in the letdown spot to end them all, and has to play against Boston College in the Red Bandana Game. Are the Irish on upset alert? (54:20) - North Carolina is a huge favorite this weekend, but are in-state rivals Wake Forest really going to go all that easily? (1:03:05) - Georgia Tech returns from a bye week to host Pittsburgh! (That's it. That's all we've got.) (1:06:55) All of this, plus picks of the week, and MORE! Use promo code "goacc" at HomefieldApparel.com for 20% off of your first order of some really comfortable, great-looking gear!

Things got dicey on Saturday as Boston College lost to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 3-0. It was a signature type loss, one that could haunt the Eagles unless changes are quickly made. One of those changes starts with the quarterback situation. After three weeks of a two-QB set, head coach Steve Addazio is set to name the next starting QB of his football team. Ever since the injury to Darius Wade, BC's been in search of an identity. As they get set to get some players back from injury in the coming weeks, Addazio's team will now start the process of discovering who they can be with a full-time QB. Dan and AJ get together to discuss the Wake Forest game and the merits of both quarterbacks. This has been a trying week so far, with opinions ranging from trust to anger around all things Eagles. For that reason, the guys will turn to Cam Underwood from State of the U to break down how they should be feeling. The Miami Hurricanes are in their fifth year under head coach Al Golden. After losing to Florida State on Saturday, the 3-0 Canes are suddenly 3-2 and reeling with back-to-back losses. Golden, the head coach of Temple prior to Steve Addazio, left Philadelphia for Miami and stewarded the team through its post-Nevin Shapiro era and sanctions. But five years into his regime, Canes fans are ready to drop Golden from The U and move in another direction. At year three of Addazio, there's much we can learn from Golden and then break down. So be sure to tune in - and call in at 646-200-0446 - to hear what Eagle fans and experts have to say!
