The Indiana University basketball team may have the toughest non-conference schedule in the country this upcoming season. Highlighted by a number of games against bluebloods including the North Carolina Tar Heels and Kansas Jayhawks, the Hoosiers are going to be tested. On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) looks at Andy Katz's list of the top non-conference games of the 2022-23 season. IU comes in at the top of that list with their game against UNC and features heavily throughout Katz's rankings. The Hoosiers continue to be active in the 2024 recruiting class, most recently landing a visit from five-star prospect Derik Queen. The big man is a dynamic offensive threat and is expected to make the trip to Bloomington this fall. The show wraps by reacting to the news of Coors Light becoming the official domestic beer sponsor of IU for 2022-23 before looking at some predictions for the standings for the upcoming Big Ten football season. 2022-23 UNC Tar Heels Basketball Roster Preview: Justin McKoy

It's the 11th week of the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster summer preview series. We have gone through the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D'Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles), and the juniors (Puff Johnson, RJ Davis, Caleb Love).. We now move to the seniors and set our sights on Justin McKoy, a 6'8", 220-pound forward from Raleigh, North Carolina. The 2021-22 season was the first at North Carolina for Justin McKoy, who transferred in from Virginia after playing two years for Tony Bennett. McKoy was part of the first iteration of the NCAA's brand new one-time transfer rule, allowing any student-athlete to transfer once and play immediately. He was part of a three-person transfer class for Hubert Davis in his first season as head coach of the Tar Heels, along with Brady Manek (Oklahoma) and Dawson Garcia (Marquette). In his second season at Carolina, McKoy once again projects to play limited back-up minutes. He will certainly be behind the starting five of RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, Pete Nance, and Armando Bacot. As a 6'8” forward, McKoy will likely battle Puff Johnson, Dontrez Styles, and Jalen Washington for minutes. Last season for the Tar Heels, McKoy played in 30 games, averaging 7.0 minutes, 1.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.5 assists, while shooting 22.2% on field goals, 23.1% from three, and 80.0% from the free throw line. The shooting percentages are all skewed due to small sample size. McKoy had 36 total shot attempts, 13 three-point attempts, and 15 free throw attempts. For better context, in his two years at Virginia, McKoy averaged 9.6 minutes, 2.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists, while shooting 46.5% from the floor, 33.3% from three, and 75.0% from the free throw line. Host Isaac Schade and Coach Pac Kilby take you through McKoy's game as well as expectations for the upcoming season.   Follow the show: Locked On Tar Heels (YouTube) Locked On Tar Heels (LinkTree) Locked On Tar Heels (Twitter) Locked On Tar Heels (Instagram) Isaac Schade (Twitter) Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Wrapping up the GG Jackson saga | Where does UNC Basketball turn next in the class of 2023?

Let's face it, the North Carolina Tar Heels family is done talking about GG Jackson, but it's healthy and helpful to understand what this situation teaches us about the new landscape of college basketball. What is the North Carolina angle in this scenario? What about GG Jackson – will he still be a top player in the class of 2022, even after his reclassification? Why does it make sense to reclassify into a likely tougher draft class? How does NIL play into everything? The biggest question is, “Where does Hubert Davis turn next in the class of 2023?” With Jackson's decommitment, Simeon Wilcher is the only recruit in the class for UNC. Sports Illustrated's Director of Basketball Recruiting, Jason Jordan, joins host Isaac Schade to share more about some of the players Coach Davis has already offered (TJ Power, Zayden High) and to propose some more names on the radar (Trey Parker, Jizzle James, and Freddie Dilione). It's the tenth week of the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster summer preview series. We have gone through the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D'Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles), and now we finish the juniors, having already talked about Puff Johnson & RJ Davis. Today we set our sights on Caleb Love, a 6'4", 200-pound guard from St. Louis, Missouri. In his sophomore campaign, Love added at least five percentage points each to his field goal percentage, his three-point field goal percentage, and his free throw percentage. The sky is the limit in Love's junior season as he and Davis combine to lead the Tar Heel backcourt. With the addition of freshman guard Seth Trimble, Love will hopefully be able to bring his minutes down from his team-high 34.1 per game last season into the high 20s or low 30s, allowing him to be even more efficient in the time he does play. Host Isaac Schade and Coach Pac Kilby take you through Love's game as well as expectations for the upcoming season. It's August 1 and that marks the first full week of fall camp for the 2022 North Carolina Tar Heels football team. It's technically the fourth day of camp after things got started last Friday. Former Carolina offensive lineman Brian Chacos joins the show to give his thoughts on the upcoming season. As a left tackle, he's someone with invaluable insight into working in a first-time starting quarterback, be it Drake Maye or Jacolby Criswell. Chacos also discusses how good Coach Mack Brown is at keeping things close to the vest. He's excited about newcomers, such as Virginia transfer Noah Taylor. Host Isaac Schade also takes time with Chacos to unpack his time playing for UNC in the early 2000s. He shares great stories about his teammates, coaches, and some of his favorite on-field memories. The conversation turns to Chacos' current role working for the Rams' Club. There's a fantastic story about his parents and their annual cookout with Coach Courtney Banghart and the women's basketball team. It's the ninth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D'Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles), and started the juniors with Puff Johnson. Sticking with the junior class, we set our sights on starting point guard RJ Davis, a 6'0", 175-pound guard from White Plains, New York. After Coach Hubert Davis provided more clear delineation in the roles for Davis and Caleb Love last year, with RJ permanently moving to point guard and Love to shooting guard, both players settled into a better groove. Davis wound up setting career highs in multiple statistical categories during the 2022 NCAA Tournament. His trajectory is pointed in the right direction to explode during his junior season. With the addition of freshman guard Seth Trimble, Davis will hopefully be able to bring his minutes down from 34.0 per game into the high 20s or low 30s, allowing him to be even more efficient in the time he does play. Host Isaac Schade and Coach Pac Kilby take you through Davis' game as well as expectations for the upcoming season. Hubert Davis' first team at UNC averaged 77.9 points per game, which would have been 12th amongst teams in the Roy Williams era. Armando Bacot led the way for the Tar Heels with 16.3 points per game. Three other Tar Heels averaged double-digit scoring, Caleb Love (15.9), Brady Manek (15.1), and RJ Davis (13.5). Carolina held a +6.6 scoring margin over their opponents, a mark that would have only bested three Roy Williams era teams – 2009-10, 2019-20, and 2020-21. The Heels return 71.2% of their scoring including four of their top five in terms of points scored last season. Along with Manek, the other players the Tar Heels will be without are transfers Dawson Garcia, Anthony Harris, and Kerwin Walton. Given the fact that five different players led the team in scoring and five different players had at least one 20-point game, this is a “pick your poison” type team that opposing defenses will have trouble game-planning for. Can Pete Nance step in and make up for Brady Manek's scoring production? Can any of the freshmen chip in buckets here and there? Will Leaky Black, Puff Johnson, or Dontrez Styles increase their scoring? Can the Tar Heels as a unit boost their scoring average north of 80? We'll find out soon enough! Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball

As we prepare to move into August, and a new academic and athletic season, we need to stop and look back at the past 12 months and all the great things that have happened in North Carolina Tar Heels' athletics. It's impossible to narrow it all down, but host Isaac Schade gives you his top three moments plus several honorable mentions. Number three on the list is the UNC baseball team's season turnaround, culminating in a conference tournament championship and a regional championship before falling to Arkansas in the Super Regional. Super freshman Vance Honeycutt and friends took us all on an amazing ride. Number two is the women's lacrosse national championship, spearheaded by superstar Jamie Ortega. The ladies overcame losing in the Final Four in each of the previous three tournaments, including a phenomenal comeback over Northwestern in the semifinal. Number one (and perhaps the biggest no-brainer ever) is the victory over Duke in the Final Four, ending Coach K's career. The performance from Carolina's Iron Five of RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, Brady Manek, and Armando Bacot, which propelled first-year head coach Hubert Davis to the national championship in his inaugural season was something no one will ever forget. The honorable mention moments include Austin Greaser making the Masters, Kizhan Clarke's national runner-up finish in wrestling, the women's tennis team's three-peat in the ITA indoor national championships, women's basketball's NCAA Tournament victory over Arizona AT Arizona, the victory over Duke on Senior night, and the women's lacrosse comeback against Northwestern in the semifinals. It's the eighth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance), the sophomores (D'Marco Dunn, Dontrez Styles) and we now move onto the juniors. We start with Puff Johnson, a 6'8", 205-pound guard from Moon Township, PA. If the surname and hometown sound familiar, it's because Puff is the younger brother of Tar Heel alum and current Phoenix Sun, Cameron Johnson. Puff Johnson is something of an anomaly, due to missing a combined 30 games to injury in his first two years in Chapel Hill. Johnson won't crack the starting five - that will go to Armando Bacot, Pete Nance, Leaky Black, Caleb Love, and RJ Davis. However, had Nance not transferred in, Johnson likely would have taken on the final starting spot alongside the remaining members of the Iron Five. The expectation is that Johnson, who clearly has earned the trust of head coach Hubert Davis, will be the first player off the Tar Heel bench. Host Isaac Schade and Coach Pac Kilby take you through Johnson's game as well as expectations for the upcoming season. In his recent presser with the media, Indiana Hoosiers basketball forward Jordan Geronimo provided insight into what Mike Woodson's offensive and defensive approach could be next season. Paired with Malik Reneau's comments as well, IU could be looking to a more modern approach next year. On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) recaps Geronimo's presser and some of the notable comments from the interview. Geronimo talked about what went into his decision to return, what his offseason workout has consisted of and who he models his game after. Geronimo's comments paired with recent comments from freshman forward Malik Reneau give an interesting insight into what the Hoosiers could look like next season. Head coach Miike Woodson appears set to adopt a more modern approach to the game on both ends of the court. The show wraps by discussing a recent award won by Woodson from the Indiana Black Expo. The IU women's basketball team also learned its opponent in the Big Ten/ACC challenge as well in the North Carolina Tar Heels. Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! The 2021-22 North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team ushered in a new era as brand new head coach Hubert Davis took over the reins from three-time national champion Roy Williams. Along with Davis, the second-leading three-point shooter in NBA history, came a higher reliance upon the three-point shot. His first UNC team was led from beyond the arc by Brady Manek (40.3%), RJ Davis (36.7%), and Caleb Love (36.0%). As a team, Carolina, shot 35.8% while attempting the most threes by a team in program history (916). The Heels lose three of their top five three-point percentage shooters, including Manek, Kerwin Walton, and Dawson Garcia. Can Davis and Love build on what they accomplished last year? Can Pete Nance step in and once again shoot north of 40%? Will returners like Puff Johnson or D'Marco Dunn be able to find a more consistent shooting stroke? Will any of the freshmen contribute from beyond the arc? The North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team released their 2022-23 non-conference schedule late last week. The returning experienced core of RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, Armando Bacot, plus the added depth of Puff Johnson and Dontrez Styles, along with the incoming freshmen and transfer Pete Nance will have a difficult set of games leading up to ACC play. In Hubert Davis' second season, UNC will play a total of 11 non-conference games (and one ACC game) leading up to the main chunk of ACC play. Carolina will play in four MTEs (multi-team events) – Phil Knight Invitational, ACC/Big 10 Challenge, CBS Sports Classic, and the new Jumpman Invitational. Additionally, the Tar Heels will have one exhibition game and five one-off games, all at home in the Smith Center. While we don't yet know the order or specific dates of the ACC schedule, we do know the 20 conference opponents and where those games will be played. The ACC has a three-year cycle in which the Heels have certain sets of teams they play away only, home only, and home and home, along with two primary rivals (Duke and NC State) who they play home and home every season. The time has come for the North Carolina Tar Heels family to bid farewell to GG Jackson. There has been no public announcement yet from the Jacksons or from North Carolina, but various signs, including the fact that the Tar Heels have now offered scholarships to two other power forwards in the class of 2023, point to the fact that an announcement is imminent. Coach Hubert Davis has been doing everything in his power to keep GG Jackson in the fold, similar to how he worked to woo back Walker Kessler upon taking the UNC head coaching job. It seems like the train is too far down the tracks though. What remains to be seen is what Jackson will actually end up deciding to do. Re-classify and go to South Carolina (or elsewhere)? Go to the G League? Stay in the class of 2023? The good news for the Tar Heels is that they've already got their man for the 2022-23 season in Pete Nance, who, in host Isaac Schade's opinion, is the more perfect fit for THIS team. Why so? You'll have to listen to find out. It's the seventh week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver), the transfer (Pete Nance) and we now finish the sophomores with guard / forward Dontrez Styles. Dunn is a 6'6", 210-pound guard from Kinston, North Carolina. While not playing a large number of minutes due to the Iron Five's dominance over playing time, Styles became one of Coach Davis' trusted reserves down the stretch. His most memorable moment from the season was his three-pointer that started overtime against Baylor in the 2nd Round of the NCAA Tournament. Styles has made a name for himself due to his athleticism and ability to affect the game in multiple ways, including guarding multiple positions. Where he'll need to grow is in his shooting ability to help stretch the floor as Coach Davis will no doubt want to continue to do. Styles won't crack the starting five - that will go to Armando Bacot, Pete Nance, Leaky Black, Caleb Love, and RJ Davis. He should carve out another solid backup role as a sophomore before exploding as an upperclassman. At the end of last week, it seemed all but inevitable that the North Carolina Tar Heels were headed to the SEC, along with schools like Florida State, Clemson, and possibly Virginia or Virginia Tech or Miami. But on Monday, it was reported that the SEC presidents declared a desire to stop at the 16 schools currently in the conference (Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Kentucky, and South Carolina). The goal in stopping was so that football as it is now can stay intact. Does this mean that the Tar Heels will stay in the ACC? Potentially. It also doesn't mean that the SEC will never look to add, it just appears that they are standing pat for now. It could also mean furthering discussions with the Big 10, although the Big 10 is likely waiting to figure things out with newly acquired USC and UCLA (and potentially a move with Notre Dame) before adding anyone else. Additionally, the Big 10 has a new media rights deal to be worked out. ESPN recently released the pairings for the 2022 edition of the ACC – Big 10 Challenge. The North Carolina Tar Heels will travel to Bloomington, Indiana to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. UNC last went to Assembly Hall for the ACC – Big 10 Challenge in the 2016-17 season; a game the Hoosiers won 76-67. Justin Jackson led the Tar Heels in scoring that night with 21. While that setback was disappointing at the time, it helped turn that team into the national champions they eventually became. Will Hubert Davis' team fair better with the veteran leadership of Leaky Black, Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, and Caleb Love? One of the major storylines will be presumptive pre-season All-Americans Armando Bacot and Trayce Jackson-Davis fighting it out in the paint. Whoever wins that battle might well win the day for his team. The matchup will also feature second year coaches in Hubert Davis and Mike Woodson. In this crossover episode hosts Isaac Schade (Tar Heels) and Jacob Rude (Hoosiers) also dive into the most recent conference realignment content. What does it mean for the Big 10 to be taking on USC and UCLA? Where might North Carolina end up? It's the sixth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We have finished the freshmen (Seth Trimble, Jalen Washington, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver) and the transfer (Pete Nance) and we now move to the first returning player: sophomore guard D'Marco Dunn. Dunn is a 6'4", 185-pound guard from Tucson, Arizona Dunn played sparingly in his freshman season for the Tar Heels, averaging 4.1 minutes per game. This year, with the departure of Kerwin Walton, and despite the addition of Seth Trimble, the backcourt doesn't have much depth. Dunn and Trimble will look to back up RJ Davis and Caleb Love. Dunn won't content for a starting spot – that will almost certainly be Davis, Love, Leaky Black, Nance, and Armando Bacot. However, Dunn will work hard to catch Coach Hubert Davis' eye with his shooting and defense, things that will get you (and keep you) on the floor. North Carolina class of 2023 basketball commit GG Jackson was in the headlines this weekend. On3's Jamie Shaw posted wrote an article stating that Jackson was considering de-committing from UNC to go to South Carolina, the G-league, or potentially Oregon. Included in this mix is the re-consideration of reclassifying to the class of 2022. The Carolina Family got rather worked up about the issue, but Jackson, himself, said on Monday that it's just rumors. At this point, all indications are still that he'll come to Chapel Hill to play for Hubert Davis and alongside a great core including players such as RJ Davis, Dontrez Styles, D'Marco Dunn, Jalen Washington, Seth Trimble, Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver, and Simeon Wilcher. Last Friday, ESPN released the pairings for the 2022 edition of the ACC – Big 10 Challenge. The North Carolina Tar Heels will travel to Bloomington, Indiana to take on the Indiana Hoosiers. Will Hubert Davis' team fair better with the veteran leadership of Leaky Black, Armando Bacot, RJ Davis, and Caleb Love? ESPN released their first way-too-early 2023 NBA mock draft. Caleb Love was the only Tar Heel listed, coming in at 42nd. Even Armando Bacot was missing from the full two round mock. That leads to the question: If Bacot isn't in the conversation for being drafted in 2023, would he use his COVID eligibility and come back to school for a fifth year? It's the fifth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. After a quick detour to evaluate Pete Nance, we now continue with the freshmen and the last member of the incoming class: Seth Trimble. Trimble is a 6'4", 185-pound guard from Menomenee Falls, Wisconsin. If that name sounds familiar, it's because his older brother JP Tokoto is also a Tar Heel basketball player. Trimble adds a component that the Tar Heels haven't had in quite some time - a high-level back-up guard (albeit a freshman) who can spell both RJ Davis and Caleb Love. He'll have an advantage as a bigger guard, with the ability to see over defenses, while learning from Love, who is similarly sized. Don't let his boyish face fool you, Trimble's a freakish athlete who can finish at the rim with ease (and usually with a dunk). He defends relentlessly and is extremely disruptive. Head Coach Hubert Davis will have quite a luxury with the depth available at guard. Heading into the weekend, it was announced that the Indiana Hoosiers basketball team would be playing the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. It will give IU the chance at the defending national champions in Assembly Hall next season. On today's episode of Locked on Hoosiers, Jacob Rude (@JacobRude) reacts to the news of the Hoosiers beefing up their schedule yet again with a match-up with the Tar Heels. It also fulfills Mike Woodson's decree that he would strengthen Indiana's schedule moving forward as the Hoosiers will face a number of bluebloods next season. IU's game against UNC will be the premier contest of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge this year. It won't, however, be the biggest recent match-up between the two programs as they have a number of memorable games in the last half-dozen years. The show wraps by looking at a new pair of prospects - one in the Class of 2024 and one in the Class of 2025 - that were offered by IU basketball over the weekend. The North Carolina Tar Heels and Gonzaga Bulldogs are both stacked heading into the 2022-23 season. Just about every preseason top-25 list has the two teams 1-2 in some order. For UNC, Hubert Davis brings back four of his five starters (RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, and Armando Bacot), while losing an integral piece in Brady Manek. Additionally, Carolina has just landed Northwestern transfer Pete Nance, who should slot into the staring lineup in Manek's spot. The Tar Heels have some other strong returning players in Puff Johnson, Dontrez Styles, D'Marco Dunn and bring in a four-person freshman class of Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver, Seth Trimble, and Jalen Washington. Mark Few loses Chet Holmgren and Andrew Nembhard, but got just about everything else back. Drew Timme, Rasir Bolton, and Julian Strawther all pulled out of the NBA draft and will return to Spokane. The Bulldogs also return key reserves in Anton Watson, Nolan Hickman, and Hunter Sallis. They also bring in transfers Efton Reid (LSU) and Malachi Smith (Chattanooga). The NCAA Tournament is vicious and unkind even to the best teams. There are no guarantees. But on paper, we could have a re-match of the 2017 National Championship Game in 2023. It's the fourth week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We take a one-week detour from previewing the four-player freshman class of Tyler Nickel, Will Shaver, Seth Trimble, and Jalen Washington, to evaluate the game of incoming Northwestern transfer and super senior, Pete Nance. Northwestern transfer Pete Nance has committed to North Carolina for the 2022-23 season, completing the Tar Heels' roster. He announced his decision via his Twitter / Instagram on Saturday, June 18. Nance should slot into the Carolina lineup as the starting '4' alongside RJ Davis, Caleb Love, Leaky Black, and Armando Bacot. He will also provide great backup minutes for Bacot at the '5' when the presumptive ACC Preseason Player of the Year heads to the bench. Last season at Northwestern, Nance averaged 14.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 blocks, while shooting 45.2% from three. For his career, Nance started 74 games at Northwestern and has just one year of eligibility left, using his COVID year. In the past 10 days, Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels doubled the size of their 2023 Recruiting Class, with three out-of-state players verbally committing. UNC added two players on the defensive side of the ball, including their first linebacker and defensive back in the class. On the other side of the ball, the Heels picked up their first pass catcher, a tight end from Virginia. Sports Illustrated's director of football recruiting, John Garcia, Jr. joins host Isaac Schade to discuss all three of these recruits: Caleb LaVallee is a linebacker from Mableton, GA. LaVallee has burst onto the scene and picked up nearly 30 DI offers. He is a two-way player, serving as a running back as well. The vision and ability learned on the other side of the ball will pay dividends for this forceful tackler. LaVallee is a hybrid of a classic linebacker and the modern day version who can drop into coverage. Kaleb Cost is a defensive back from Sandy Creek HS in the Atlanta, GA area. Cost is also a highly sought-after baseball recruit who will also suit up for Scott Forbes and the baseball team. Julien Randolph committed to the Tar Heels after having previously verballing to Vanderbilt. UNC ultimately won out over UCLA and Miami for Randolph's services. Randolph is a large tight end - 6'5", 210, with the ability to add more to his frame, making him all the more difficult for defensive backs or linebackers to contend with. Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball

It's the third week of the summer preview for the 2022-23 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball roster. We continue with the freshmen and work our way through the roster. This week is Will Shaver, from Birmingham, Alabama. Shaver is a 6'10", 245-pound center. Shaver is a true center, with a back-to-the-basket post game, the ability to finish with either hand, AND a face-up game with a soft touch. The difference with Shaver is that he also can (and will) step outside the three-point line. This is exactly in the mold of the player Hubert Davis is looking for. Shaver graduated high school in December and was able to practice and be with the team throughout the 2022 portion of this past season. The experience gained by facing Armando Bacot every day and learning under the tutelage of one of the greatest Tar Heel big men ever, Sean May, is invaluable. When the first team of Caleb Love, RJ Davis, Leaky Black, Armando Bacot, and one other player goes out, Shaver will look to make his mark as part of the second unit. The North Carolina Tar Heels' baseball team fell just short of making the College World Series for the first time since 2018. Scott Forbes' team was swept by the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks over the weekend, losing 4-1 and 4-3. A week after averaging 10 runs per game in the regional round, the Tar Heels managed just two runs a game against the Hogs. UNC hit 14 home runs in the regional round, but had just one, from freshman phenom Vance Honeycutt, in the Super Regional. Honeycutt and Danny Serretti each turned in a fancy defensive play to get the Heels out of trouble in Game 2. Brandon Schaeffer and Davis Palermo did a great job on the mound, limiting the Razorbacks to just four runs. Sunday's game was paused twice, for over an hour each, for lightning delays. Carolina was dealt a blow when third baseman Mac Horvath missed Sunday's game due to an emergency appendectomy performed on Saturday night. The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team has weathered a roller coaster of a year to advance all the way to hosting a Super Regional as the No. 10 National Seed. Head Coach Scott Forbes has done a wonderful job in his second year as head coach of keeping his team dialed in, even in the middle of the season when the Heels were scuffling. That resilience paid dividends in last weekend's regional round and should do so again! Freshman Vance Honeycutt has been electric for the Diamond Heels, leading the team in home runs and playing great defense in center field. He robbed a would-be tying home run last weekend against UGA. Don't forget about everything offered by Danny Serretti and Angel Zarate, UNC's two leading hitters. Max Carlson will be on the mound in Game 1 for UNC, followed by Brandon Schaefer in Game 2. Spurred on by a raucous home crowd, the Tar Heels should be able to do enough to get past an always difficult Arkansas squad. Did Armando Bacot and Caleb Love's return to Chapel Hill mean the North Carolina Tar Heels are primed for another deep NCAA Tournament run? Does Sean Miller and Xavier become instant Big East contenders? Should we be on the lookout for Nijel Pack and the Miami Hurricanes this year? The College Basketball Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network breaks down all of the big time college basketball moves happening this offseason. Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) & NC Nick (@NC_Nick) note all the big names in college basketball that are returning perhaps due to the new NIL rules. Should the Gonzaga Bulldogs be the team to beat in 2022 now that Drew Timme and company are coming back? Did Gonzaga win the college basketball offseason more than any other team? Did Armando Bacot and Caleb Love's return to Chapel Hill mean the North Carolina Tar Heels are primed for another deep NCAA Tournament run? Does Sean Miller and Xavier become instant Big East contenders? Should we be on the lookout for Nijel Pack and the Miami Hurricanes this year? Will Tyger Campbell make the UCLA Bruins the team to beat in the Pac 12 this year? Is Steve Lavin instantly building San Diego into a winner in the WCC? How will the Duke Blue Devils look with the best freshman class in America coming in? Did the Arkansas Razorbacks and Butler Bulldogs win the transfer portal? Could Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas be due for a nice rebound season? Are Mike Woodson and the Indiana Hoosiers the team to beat in the Big Ten this season or could Illinois or Michigan have something to say about that? Will the San Diego State Aztecs and San Francisco Dons be teams to watch out for this upcoming season? We talk it all and more on this NIL edition of The College Basketball Experience. Episode 52 Sandra Eckert70 year old mother and grandmother, Sandra Eckert went missing on March 26, 2021.She was last known to be at her home on the 7200 block of South North Cape Road in Franklin, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. Her husband claimed that she threatened to leave following an argument and that she had been drinking. He claims he took keys to one of their vehicles to stop her, but that she still managed to leave the house in a second vehicle in the very early morning hours. Police saw the vehicle, a Gray 2005 Dodge Stratus with WI license plate #319LGT, but it was unclear whether Sandra was driving. Police didn't pull it over because Sandra had not been reported missing yet. Had they done so, there may be answers in the case. Sandra was never seen again, nor was her car. Due to Sandra's husband's story changing and his admittedly cold relationship with Sandra, he's a prime person of interest in the case, and suspicion of him had caused major division in the family forcing family members to take sides. In this episode, Sandra's daughter Kelsey walks us through her Mom's mysterious and frustrating case, and helps us understand what's going on behind the scenes.Sandra is 5'7″ and weighs 130lbs, she has blonde hair and green eyes. She was last wearing black leggings, colorful tennis shoes, and a large navy blue and teal North Carolina Tarheels starter jacketAnyone with information is asked to call Franklin Police Department at 414-425-2522.Visit the HelpfindSandy Facebook page:https://www.facebook.com/HelpFindSandy
