I sit down and talk to my spaghetti loving, pizza freak friend Huw Collins, who plays Dr. Elliott Rollins on Pretty Little Liars. I randomly met Huw through an old friend of his, Benjamin. Benjamin called him "someone really special" to me and he was exactly right. I never thought in a million years this new stranger would become my friend. I love those kind of moments that you reflect on later. He has played piano since he was a child, and has quite the taste for classical music, as well as timeless classics. I had such a great time with this funny Welshman; we shared a love for the same sappy songs and I LIVE FOR THAT. My favorite moments were when we shared our love for Des'ree's "Kissing You" and Phil Collins' "I Wish It Would Rain Down". I love how genuine Huw is about humans doing things that they truly love. He is constantly inspired by watching people master any craft. The story he shares about his favorite show Chef's Table I could listen to all day. This show happens to drive his wife Molly nuts! Imagine 6 am, waking up to the crazy violin that intros Chef Table and you turn to see Huw sitting there, happy as a clam, like a 6 year-old on Christmas morning. Huw splits his time between Los Angeles and Maine. He is back east for the rest of the year, but I look forward to eating lots of spaghetti with him in the New Year! Much love to you and Molly, Huw.

    Episode #7- DJ / Producer / Artist - INDUCE

DJ / PRODUCER / RECORDING ARTIST - INDUCE I'm always down for buying records, and especially when I don't have to overly prepare myself to dig deep, play tetris, sneeze 8,000 times, and get super dirty and dusty all in the process. One day my friend Justin invited me to go to this private record sale in Atwater Village. This sale, I like to now refer to as the "farmers market of records" was right up my alley. I literally rolled out of bed on a Sunday AM and rushed over to the sale. I knew if I slept on it I'd run the risk of all the boogie-disco records being gone. I pulled up and found myself at Ryan's house. We had these carefree discussions about music and records in general. I shared with him my feelings of never loving any kind of "new" music, and sometimes feeling like this nostalgic girl that's stuck somewhere I can never return to. Later upon leaving, Ryan's stopped me and said "Hey give this a try. It's something new, and maybe you'll like it" and I did. I really did. He handed me his album The Wonderful Sound of Induce, Halfway Between Me And You. I went home and searched it on Spotify (I didn't want to break the packaging), and immediately started listening. I was blown away, A) I loved it and B) I was overjoyed that I was listening to a white man's voice that sounded beautiful. As you all know, I am huge, a huge pushover for any soulful white-man that can sing well. I almost died when I heard his take on Oliver Cheatham's Get Down Saturday Night. I immediately reached out to him and asked that he come be a guest on my show, and the rest is history. We spent all day Sunday together, talking and working. I later went to his gig at Eighty-Two in the Arts District, and learn that he dominates on Ms. Pac Man. He even beat the high score by over 100,000 points. Dude is serious. We also spoke in our best Sol Rosenberg voices all night long. I related to everything we talked about and shared. Thanks Ryan for a truly, reallygreat day. -Seeps Ryan Smith, known by Induce, is a Los Angeles based DJ, Music Producer, Recording Artist, Record Collector/Seller. Induce is from Miami, Florida, and started deejaying in clubs as a teen. Later in the early 2000's, Induce co-founded Miami based independent record label, Counterflow Recordings, and went on to own and operate his own label, The Wonderful Sound, also known as WonderSound. He served as editor-in-chief and contributing writer for issues 1 & 2 of the turntablism magazine, Tablist Magazine founded by DJ Infamous. In 2008 he was voted Best Club DJ in Miami by the Miami New Times. In more recent years he's received recognition for his work as a singer; his 2012 album Halfway Between Me And You received praised as one of the best indie-soul releases of that year by MTV Hive, and won him Artist of the Year in the Miami-area hip-hop website The 305. In 2013 he started directing videos, such as "Get Down Saturday Night" from his Halfway Between Me And You album and "Ride Around" and "Alina" from Sunset Summer. Induce has collaborated with Danny Daze on a DJ mix consisting of Italo disco style music, Disco For Abruzzo Vol. 1, and has toured with Kid Sister as her DJ. He has worked with a number of prominent producers and DJs, notably Gigamesh, being featured on the song "When You’re Dancing" and with DJ Kon, being featured on the song "Love Shine", and on the On My Way with Jack Splash. He currently has a radio show on dublab called Dancing, Thinking, Loving, Listening, which airs on Thursdays at 8pm on dublab.com and DJ's all over Los Angeles, but can regularly be found at Bar Marmont, LIttle Joy and the 143 Parties at the Echoplex. ACTRESS - LAUREN ASH Lauren Ash stars as the ever-so convincing Dina, on NBC's new comedy Superstore. Dina is the no nonsense assistant manager you certainly don't ever want to mess with. I still can't believe I am watching her most of the time, and that's because I've known Lauren as the ultimate bestie and birthday wingman of my dear friend Niki, for quite some time now; shout out to the Get Fresh Dog Crew. I became so accustomed to seeing and hearing about Lauren, that you could imagine my surprise when I learned that her natural, comedic sensabitiy and grace wasn't just for nothing. I had no idea. I watch her on Superstore and I am constantly amazed and in awe. Her timing is just so good. The day of our recording was so fun, free and easy. I find that most refreshing; she's just a real, true girl's girl. Her moments that killed me most of all were the ones about life growing up as a teenage "old lady", and of course our teenage sex song exchange. However, those stories I got off the mic though, I wish I could of played those! Lauren Ash is orginally from Toronto, Canada. She started out at The Second City, Toronto and was later invited to perform at the company's main stages in Toronto and Chicago. Last year she killed us as Hortense on the Comedy Central series Another Period, with Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome. Her past roles include ABC's Super Fun Night, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Lars and the Real Girl, Camille, Scare Tactics, Howie Do It, and countless Canadian series including Lost Girl, Cracked, The Ron James Show, Call Me Fitz, Bomb Girls, Spun Out, and Match Game. She's won six times at the Canadian Comedy Awards, including Canadian Comedy Person of the Year. She's been nominated for an ACTRA Award (Canada's SAG Awards) and the winner of a Canadian Screen Award (Canada's Emmys) for her performance on "Spun Out." Last year she even threw the first pitch at a Blue Jay's game. WHAAAAT! Superstore airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC and it's also streaming on Hulu. Do it, do it now! -Seeps Twitter - @lauren_ash Instagram - @laurenelizabethash

Episode #5 - Creative Director, Jesse Nicely

CREATIVE DIRECTOR - JESSE NICELY There is just so much to say about Jesse. I’ve known him for forever, and it’s as if he is my twin brother. We share the same name, and at times say the same thing. Our mother named us gender appropriately too, not really. He’s not really my brother, but he might as well be. I have known Jesse for almost twenty years. We met back in New York in the late nineties, and connected in the same circle of friends. We spent many years reminiscing about music, smoking trees, laughing, and many nights doing the same thing, but while dancing and/or being part of New York’s downtown art culture. Those years I spent finding myself and becoming an adult were so incredibly lived in New York, and Jesse was definitely a player in all that. Now I am so blessed to have him as my friend, while I now live in his hometown, Los Angeles; maybe one day I’ll forgive Jesse for living on the West Side of LA. I guess no matter what coast I’m on, I’m still always about the East; only this time it means East LA baby. Jesse Nicely is a Los Angeles native. He grew up in “the 818” the Valley and listened heavily to old school hip-hop and rap, while connecting deeply with the East Coast style, and so much so that it made him move all the way to New York to find out about it. He studied Psychology and Journalism at New York University and later became the Managing Editor at Frank151; helping to launch their presence globally. Down the line he became the Editor-In-Chief for Toyota Scion’s Magazine and eventually moving on with Dentsu America, the US subsidiary of Japan’s largest advertising agency, as their Strategic Planner. Today he is the creative director at the Cashmere Agency, and works exclusively with people like Snoop Dogg. Check out his concepts and work on www.MerryJane.com. I especially like the Deflowered series. He is most certainly, and definitely one of the smartest, most cultured guys I know, who’s always just in the know. He has this way of thinking ahead about concepts, and it’s a constant, it’s hilarious, as well as inspiring to be around. You can’t be in a room with him for more than five minutes, without him saying something incredibly innovative and basically brain-iac-tastic. I just made that up. One of Jesse’s projects is being the creative and founder of Puffingtons Golf, a lifestyle brand in the Cannagolf space. His Pitch-N-Puff golf tee-one hitter, for people who want to “par-tee” on and off the gold course, is just kinda genius. My favorite is the Bent Grass Golf Ball Stash, ideal for off the course and in your car. Wink. Jesse always has his hands in something. I loved, loved, loved recording this episode with Jesse. We have always shared a similar love of music, and I mean do you know anyone who listened to NWA, at under ten years-old? Shit is real. I love you Jess. Thanks for being a forever friend. -Seeps

Episode #4 - Comedian, Beth Stelling

Ms. Beth Stelling. What a woman. Not only does she look exactly like the white version of Tisha Campbell but after practically spending an entire day and night with her, I can honestly say this; I completely, absolutely, positively adore her. There is something so special about being with her and also hearing her voice as a comic. It makes you feel like you've known Beth forever and all while laughing uncontrollably. Her comedy is just so relatable to women. Off stage she's this calm, go with the flow, kind of gal; the kind you could only hope to get stuck at the airport with or on some horrible trip. I mean, how many people can you really say that about? Not many. Then it all made sense to me. I learned that she comes from a family of mostly women. One on one she is just so, so easy to talk to. The day was moving fast and before I knew it, it was night. Somehow I wound up at the Kibitz Room to see her perform. She graciously introduced me to everyone. When the evening was finally over every single comic approached to say goodbye, and all of them had the same mantra to say to her, "Do you realize how much I love you?". In the moment they were not referring to her comedy, but about who she is as a person. Beth's spirit and energy is palpable and her comedy is like no other. She is literally never in one city for very long and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the time we spent together, but most importantly to have made a new friend. The whole experience was empowering. Beth Stelling is a stand-up comedian, writer and actress from Dayton, Ohio. She got her start in the Chicago stand-up scene and later landed a spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live, all because he saw her perform at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Beth tours extensively, performing at festivals and clubs across the country. She co-hosts a weekly stand-up show at UCB Sunset called CHURCH. The show was recently named a favorite of 2015 by LA Weekly. Most recently her Half Hour special on Comedy Central aired October 10th, and the release of her new album with Comedy Dynamics, Simply the Beth debuted at #3 on the iTunes Comedy Charts. The album is available for purchase online, at her comedy shows and on "AMATUNES". (You'll just have to check out our podcast episodes to find out what Amatunes is all about!) Her appearances on Showtime's Comedy of SXSW, Last Call with Carson Daly, and The Meltdown with Jonah & Kumail all aired this past summer as well and are available online. In the next year you can expect to see Beth on NBC's new online comedy channel Seeso. Follow Beth on all social media @BethStelling.

Do you all have any idea how difficult it is to edit a four hour long podcast, with your best friend, down to just two short hours? Fucking IMPOSSIBLE. It was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life. But I did it! Kathryn Alecci, always known as Kevin, is my very best friend in the whole, wide, world. She is originally from Redmond, Washington and now resides in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We met on a camping trip to Lake George, August 2003. At the time, I never figured she would become my best friend, and essentially the closest I'll ever get to having a sister. There I was in the woods, in the pitch black night, scared out of my mind to make it down from the cabin to the lake. I couldn't see a thing down this extremely long path and at some point I started yelling Kathryn, Kathryn! I don't know why, but I just started calling out to her. She rescued me and hasn't left my side since. She is my champion for so many, many reasons. She's the type of friend that lends an ear whenever needed, especially when you fear you might sound crazy. Somehow in her eyes I am pretty normal. She's the only wingman I wanna get into trouble with on a Friday night. She'll come to any gig with me while I dance and wild out, especially if it involves a crush. We watch hours of R. Kelly videos together on holidays and it never gets old. Also I, in life, typically hate mouth noises involving food of any kind, esp chewing, chomping and smacking, ugh, gross! Kathryn is well aware of it and for whatever reason always loves to gross me out with her gum. Somehow, even so, I can stand the torture from her. That says a lot. We also can never go anywhere together without some guy falling in love with her, at first sight. I can't really blame them. But most of all, she is the only person I never run out of things to talk about with. She's just a beautiful human inside and out and just the best kind of human. I don't know where I'd be on earth without her. In this episode we discuss our love for the band Tuxedo, a lot. We also drink naughty liquids, and discuss The Cure, tracks that we love while running, bicycling and being on the subway, in New York City. We also discuss our love for the Whisphers, Womack & Womack and boogie-disco jams from when I started DJ'in. Basically, have a listen because you're curious about what two very best friends are like while blabbing, reminiscing and misbehaving. Kathryn, I love you. Thanks for being my very best friend. -Seeps
