Back in the early 2000's a series was created that brought back a lot of memories from the mid to late 1990's Penda days. Pro MT brought together some of the biggest independent names in the industry to some of the greatest race tracks within the United States thanks to series sponsor Truxpo. It was very much like a 4 Wheel and Off Road Jamboree except inside a NASCAR facility. What bigger NASCAR facility than Daytona for Monster Truck Racing to take place? Who is Matt's co-host this week!? Find out when you listen to Pro MT Race Day here on the Retro Monster Truck Review! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support

The USHRA Event in Tampa held in 1989 was certainly a unique mix of Monster Trucks. Bigfoot, Pony Express, Thumper, Outlaw 35, Virginia Giant, and Chi-Town Hustler were here to run on a long, unique straight line track that is just about as unique for the time as the lineup. The Tanks were well represented as well with Car Killer and Virginia Beach Beast adding to an already very unique looking field of trucks. Josh Rhodes is once again out of the recording studio so Matt Stoltz and Jason Rouna of JConcepts will be bringing you all the old school action this week! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support

Ladies and gentlemen we've reached the END of Grave Digger Month! Some might call Dennis Anderson crazy. . .well. . .all the time. Though at this point in 1992 he probably was to return from an injury against this caliber of field with a Brad New Grave Digger. It was Digger 7's time to shine in front of the TV Cameras and Dennis Anderson wasn't letting off the throttle! Join Josh and Matt as they talk about yet another early success for the Grave Digger team against this star studded lineup featuring both TNT and USHRA Points Champions! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support
All great sports legacies start somewhere. In 1988 Grave Digger was gaining popularity however a few trucks in this newly forming motorsport were heads and tails above the rest. Awesome Kong and King Kong "The Kong Brothers" were still heavily featured vehicles on television. Bigfoot had reached legendary status by this point as well. Dennis Anderson had yet to defeat any of these trucks, let alone take home a big victory on National TV. January 8th 1988, that all changed! We hope you enjoy this weeks episode of the Retro Monster Truck Review as we talk about one of the biggest nights in the 40 year history of the Black and Green Wrecking Machine! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support
Happy New Year everybody! We bring you this week Part 2 from St. Louis 1999 and continue GRAVE DIGGER MONTH! The final 8 trucks take to the track to determine the winner of what has been dubbed as "World Finals 0." Can Dennis Anderson close out his first Championship Season with a win? Will Tom Meents roll into the last event of the season and continue to be the Spoiler? Dan Patrick is looking strong, can he manage to fist bump his way to victory? Brian Womack is behind the wheel of Fred Shafer's Bear Foot and hes in his home town, will he capitalize on having Home Field Advantage? All these questions were answered in 1999, however were still going to talk about them on this weeks show! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support

Something a little bit different this week as we go a little farther into the year 1988. Were in Pittsburgh at the Civic Arena with the USHRA! Monster Truck Time Trial Racing is the forefront of the show with arguably the sports biggest rivalry Bigfoot vs Bearfoot being our main draw. The Mud Racing quite honestly might be the most talked about thing coming out of this show though as Tom Meents brings out the brand new Shake Me to run on the USHRA Circuit! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support

In light of the tragic passing of Gun Slinger driver Scott Hartsock I could think of no better show to cover on this weeks episode of RMTR other than this one.
