OverviewWe have an amazing guest for you this week on Bucket Talk. Adam Anderson, the son of legendary monster truck driver Dennis Anderson, creator and operator of the Grave Digger. Take a listen as Adam walks us through the hectic lifestyle of a champion monster truck driver/entertainer. Jeremy and Adam talk about the toughness needed for action sports, the similarities between nascar and monster trucks, and what it is like being born into the spotlight and carrying on the legacy of a legend.AboutAdam Anderson, although being brought up in the shadow of his father, has made quite a name for himself in the monster truck industry. He became only the fourth person in history to win a monster jam world title in both freestyle and racing. Safe to say Adam can hold his own out there. We get an inside look at the start to his career being a mechanic on these big rigs and transitioning into driving, operating and entertaining in these massive machines. Adam explains his love for the shop and his addiction to being a mechanic and always working on something. Anderson has held about every position you can in this industry, even took a turn at the corporate level and just about logged into his business computer once or twice. Safe to say the office wasn't for him. He preferred spending his time helping turn a wrench or give guidance wherever needed in the shop. Being born into something that became his passion, Adam gives Jeremy the inside scoop on staying the course, balancing family and career, and the wild life of a monster truck racer/entertainer.

Weston Anderson is the youngest son of Dennis Anderson, and younger brother of Adam, Ryan, and Krysten Anderson. He started out driving the Bog Hog mud and mega truck before also driving King Sling. In 2022, he joined Monster Jam and Team Grave Digger, competing in Monster Jam Arena Championship Series East, using Morgan Kane's former Grave Digger 33. However, later during the season, he would receive Grave Digger 37, due to Grave Digger 33 receiving major chassis damage during the Hampton events. Weston would ultimately win the tour in April at Southaven, MS, earning the first invite to World Finals 21. During the series, Weston also had a notable rivalry with former Monster Energy driver and current of Dragon, Coty Saucier. His run in the series for his rookie season would be considered to be the greatest rookie season for a driver in Monster Jam history by many, including Scott Douglass. All great sports legacies start somewhere. In 1988 Grave Digger was gaining popularity however a few trucks in this newly forming motorsport were heads and tails above the rest. Awesome Kong and King Kong "The Kong Brothers" were still heavily featured vehicles on television. Bigfoot had reached legendary status by this point as well. Dennis Anderson had yet to defeat any of these trucks, let alone take home a big victory on National TV. January 8th 1988, that all changed! In this Episode, Austin interviews his pastor Dennis Anderson about pastoring at a young age, keys to leading a debt-free church, hiring church staff, and the difference between leadership and lordship. About Dennis Anderson:Dennis Anderson has served as Senior Pastor at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Pearcy, Arkansas since 1985. He served the Arkansas District UPCI as Superintendent from 2009-2017. Key Takeaways from this Episode:Advice to those pastoring at a young age (he started pastoring at 23): You must overcome the mindset that you're too young. It's not your Church, it's Gods Church. You're not alone. God has got your back. The anointing brings respect and relevance. The anointing breaks the yoke. The "yoke" could be your inferiority complex.Preach the Word and let God confirm it. He will back you up. Don't take things personal. Be who God has called you to be. Lean on God's call on your life and His anointing. On keys to leading a debt-free church:Focus on what God really wants from your church. Resources come. The Church is a living organism and it tells you what it needs. Take it one step at a time like you would eat a steak one bite at a time. Numbers tell the truth. Act on faith, but be aware of reality. Don't let others pressure you into stepping over your head into debt. The best time for you to get in the best financial position is before you get committed. People will give when they can see the need. You can't see a monthly payment the same way you can see the need for a building. On Leadership instead of Lordship:Love God and Love People. Inspire people to do right instead of aggressively pushing people. These are just a few notes from this conversation. We pray it encourages, equips, and challenges you in your leadership.
