All great sports legacies start somewhere. In 1988 Grave Digger was gaining popularity however a few trucks in this newly forming motorsport were heads and tails above the rest. Awesome Kong and King Kong "The Kong Brothers" were still heavily featured vehicles on television. Bigfoot had reached legendary status by this point as well. Dennis Anderson had yet to defeat any of these trucks, let alone take home a big victory on National TV. January 8th 1988, that all changed! We hope you enjoy this weeks episode of the Retro Monster Truck Review as we talk about one of the biggest nights in the 40 year history of the Black and Green Wrecking Machine! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/retro-monster-truck-review/support

It is 'Cory the Service Manager' over at PSE, and we talk a little about diesel motors. Also joining us in this segment is James Orsten, from Wilmer, Minnisota. James and his crew were showing his '49 Chevy that is mounted onto a 1-ton Dodge frame sporting a Cummins diesel backed by a 5-speed manual gear box. In November you and I are going into the voting booth to chose a President. Remember the word "Confidence". Do you have confidence that the individual you will vote for will be good for your pocketbook? Does he understand the economy, our finances, and to build consumer confidence. Or will he create new taxes that will attack our personal and family finances, as well as our businesses. With no confidence the economy gets put on hold. It pauses, as it did during the Obama administration. Think before you vote. Confidence is the key word, not political party, or you hate for someone. If you have any question send me a text to 818.252.5682 www.lodge-co.com

This is our FOURTH episode & we have on Macy Theriot. I met Macy when she and I were a part of a summer missions teams program. Yes, this is the same summer mission team that one of our previous guests, Chris Shay, was the director of at that time. Although Macy and I were not on the same team, we got to know each other through the training times before and processing times after our summer missions trips. In this episode Macy shares about her childhood life growing up in New Orleans, then to her experience of living through Hurricane Katrina that lead to her move north to Minnisota, and now to her most recent move to Chicago. Macy shares with us about how pursuing her passion of teaching children has pivoted her from one vocation to another. You are going to want to lean in and not miss hearing about how Macy found her passion and what vocation she is using it in. No matter if this is your story and you can relate to her or not I believe that there is something in this episode for you.
