Entering part 6 of our "Home Field Advantage" series, we continue with our thought that, as we get to know God better and trust Him more, our biggest advantage happens at home. That "love thy neighbor" starts with the people you share a roof and heritage with. Pastor Brandon teaches us today that serving at home is a baseline for spiritual leadership and that you can love your family by being a servant leader. Loving and leading by meeting your family's practical needs, by sharing what God has done for you, and by letting them see your worship. Ultimately, serving begins at home. - Key verses // John 15:4, Matthew 20:25-28 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive

Continuing to look at how the home is the center of spiritual growth, and how our biggest advantage from knowing God better and trusting Him more happens at home, we learn that worship plays a big role in inviting God into our homes. Pastor Brandon teaches us that worship keeps us focused on heavenly things, and how worship isn't just songs and singing, but is rather a heart posture in how we interact with the world. Worship reflects God's glory back on us, and God uses authentic worship to transform us. Through studying the scriptures we see that worship changes the atmosphere of our lives and ultimately it shows us that remembering the goodness of God in worship reconnects us with the goodness of God. - Key Verses // John 15:4, Acts 16:22-26 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive

How should home base be treated in the life of a Christian? We tackle that question in this series and we continue by establishing that our home should be a holy place. Home is the center of true spiritual growth, and if we keep this in mind then we should also know that discipleship begins at home. As Pastor Brandon teaches through the scriptures today we see that engaging with the presence of God at home can change things forever. We also need to keep in mind that the natural progression of opening up your home and making it the center of our spiritual growth leads to "sitting at the Lord's feet". Ultimately, we should treat home as holy, because it is. - Key Verses // 2 Timothy 1:5-6, 1 Samuel 6:10-12, Luke 10:38-42 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive

We are covering the third base of our Home Field Advantage this week by talking about the Home Team, and what that means for us as Christians. As we journey through this series we establish each time, that as we get to know God better and trust Him more, the biggest advantage happens at home. As Pastor Brandon teaches from the Scriptures, we see that our first place of ministry is at home and to truly trust God in anything, He must come first. We are also encouraged that if following Jesus has a bumpy start in your home, that God is working for restoration and forgiveness. Ultimately, placing God first in our lives means loving the people He first placed in our lives. - Key Verses // Mark 5:18-20, 1 Timothy 3:1-4 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive

Steak and Rusty talk about the willingness of fans to travel across the city to watch their team, as long it is worth spending the money to make the trip. The Mercedes Benz experience is second to none, and is only missing one thing: WINS.
Pastor Brandon leads us through the second part of our series "Home Field Advantage" by informing us that there is often times a challenge at the home field. There is a disadvantage because the home crowd can often be the tough crowd. And one of the toughest parts of our calling as Christians is to take those principles home. But Pastor Brandon encourages us today to not let being overlooked by others make you think you are being overlooked by God. As we take a look at David's life and Jesus' teachings in this message, we learn that we can trust in God's plan and be able to love those who don't understand. - Key Verses // Matthew 13:54-58, 1 Samuel 16:10-13 - For Sermon Notes, the Connect Card, and our other online resources: https://linktr.ee/Celebrationchurchlive

In this episode of Building Brownstown, two-time NFL Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski discusses the advantages of the enclosed Huntington Bank Stadium. He believes the new stadium will create a home-field advantage by amplifying the noise from the crowd, making it difficult for opposing teams to communicate and operate on the field. Stefanski states that the enclosed stadium will be a "first-class facility" that will amplify the "rabid" energy of the Dawg Pound, making it an unbelievable environment.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

“Your intention is your superpower. It's the energy that turns thought into performance, belief into action.” — Dr. Toper Taylor In this groundbreaking episode of the Turmeric & Tequila® podcast, host Kristen Olson sits down with Dr. Toper Taylor—Emmy-winning producer, entrepreneur, intention researcher, and former Hollywood executive—to explore the intersection of human performance, quantum physics, and personal transformation. Dr. Toper shares insights from his pioneering dissertation, “The Human Performance Intention Experiment,” which scientifically demonstrated how positive intention can enhance athletic performance. From producing over 15,000 TV episodes to exploring subtle energy sciences and now serving in politics, Toper's journey is a powerful reminder that authenticity, intention, and interconnectedness are key to both personal and collective success. Tune in to hear: How thoughts can influence real-world outcomes (yes, even swim times!) Auburn takes the series in Knoxville, and the Vols are left scratching their heads. Welcome to the Third Saturday in October - your SEC water cooler podcast for the rest of us! Tennessee lost yet another SEC series at home. Nothing seems to be going right for the Big Orange - cold bats, erratic defense, and poor pitching. It's the trifecta of bad baseball. On the other hand, Auburn is playing well and forcing other teams into the kinds of mistakes that Tennessee made this last weekend. Bradley breaks it all down. buymeacoffee.com/tsiopod @TSIOPod on Instagram, X, and Venmo ThirdSaturdayInOctober.com

SERIES 3 EPISODE 79: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: It is now revealed that at a Thanksgiving-eve dinner on a patio at the Mar-a-Lago Crapshack, Trump had his minions play a recording of the national anthem sung by the January 6th Terrorists. Some of them at Trump’s table put their hands over their hearts as the people who stormed our capitol intending to take over our government sang words, the actual meaning of which they cannot possibly understand. Per The Wall Street Journal, one of those who put his hand over his heart during this travesty was… Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg leads the parade of pathetic billionaires also including Jeff Bezos and Sam Altman, who just happen to be donating a million dollars to Trump's inauguration committee. Except for ABC News, which is donating FIFTEEN million to Trump's presidential museum (which may be in an empty warehouse or a sinkhole somewhere) to settle his frivolous and easily winnable defamation case against George Stephanopoulos. On March 22nd, 1979, I was ushered into the small office of a Vice President at the ABC television series “The Wide World of Sports.” His wife had been an assignment editor at the local New York TV station I had interned at the previous summer – though we were not there simultaneously. He and the Mrs. and my friends from the local station all warned me this gentleman would not have a job for me nor even any job leads, just advice. His name was Robert Iger. “Call me Bob,” he insisted. Within fifteen years he was president of ABC and thus the boss of all my bosses at ESPN and he was my boss there three times and for two further years at ABC and he gave me brilliant advice I've repeated a thousand times: if you want to be on the air, don't take an off-air job. It has truly changed lives. And now, after 45-and-a-half years I’d like to repay Bob Iger and give him MY advice: Sell ABC News to somebody who actually cares about the future of news and the future of journalism and the future of this country because you guys at Disney ain’t it any more. What do you think you bought for yourself here, Bob? Trump’s gratitude? Him somehow remembering you fondly the NEXT time ABC News does something he doesn’t like, like, say, accurately report how many people show up to his inauguration, or how many insurrectionists he pardons, or how many people die during the migrant round-ups into the migrant concentration camps? Even if Trump CAN still remember do you think he WILL remember? Or all the mini-Trumps? What you have done is merely become part of the process by which freedom of the press, and freedom in the nation, dissolve. My advice, offered again in gratitude for YOUR advice in 1979: sell ABC News to somebody who cares. B-Block (27:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Did Trump demand the end of Daylight Savings Time but think he was demanding the end of STANDARD Time? Van Jones plus Chris Cillizza equals Extra Large Stupid. And the New York radio station that is quite literally running a bulletin "sound" for "DRONE WATCH 2024." (39:27) SPORTSBALLCENTER: I have actually solved baseball's playoff crisis, the one in which in three of the last four years the team with the best record has been eliminated in its first playoff round and 14 of the 24 division winners have, too. It's actually a really really good idea. C-Block (52:00) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Offended by this CNN crapfest every night where Abby Phillip lets this jackass Scott Jennings insult everyone and everything good about America, in front of an ever-shrinking audience? We tried this at MSNBC long ago only the clown was Michael Savage. It didn't end well for us and it ain't gonna end well for CNN.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
