After a death there can be a time where one can’t explain how they are feeling until years later. When that happens sometimes a grieved can’t lose relationships they once cherished. This was a hard episode for myself but I hope you fellow surviving siblings can relate.
Denied or delayed grief has its purpose but it’s a double edge sword. Here’s my story how how it affected me in every realm of life.
During the grieving process a sibling may notice their relationships may change with people. A sibling may feel their friendships, family or otherwise are failing them by not being there for them. This can set up resentment and cut relationships that once were so tight. Can you relate?
