In March of 1989, local police in Hamilton, Michigan, would receive a phone call from Dennis Bowman, who alleged that his 14 year old adoptive daughter, Aundria, had gone missing. Bowman explained that he noticed she was missing when he returned home from work, and shared that she had taken a jacket and some money from the house as well, leading police to initially classify this as a simple runaway case. Unfortunately however, the truth is far more complicated than the case first suggests; especially when Aundria's biological mother, Cathy Terkanian, receives word of her daughter's disappearance only 21 years later in 2010. In 2010, Cathy Terkanian received an unexpected letter from the adoption agency where she had selflessly placed her daughter decades earlier. The agency was requesting her DNA, revealing that her daughter had gone missing at the age of 14 over 20 years prior. They sought to match her DNA with that of a Jane Doe they suspected could be her daughter. What followed was a whirlwind of emotions for Cathy, but her tenacity shone through and with tremendous determination she vowed to do whatever it took to find out what had happened to her child.**Trigger Warnings: **Murder (A Little Graphic)Sexual Assault LINKS COMING IN PART 2Leaving the Sanctuary by Laci Beanhttps://amzn.to/3UP2OSRTry Javy Today!Affiliate Link:https://snwbl.io/javy-coffee/LACI33468Coupon Code: LACI33468 Deadly Faith PATREON: https://patreon.com/DeadlyFaithPodcast?utm_medium=unknown&utm_source=join_link&utm_campaign=creatorshare_creator&utm_content=copyLinkDeadly Drip Merch https://www.bonfire.com/store/deadly-drip/?utm_source=facebook_messenger&utm_medium=store_page_published_share&utm_campaign=deadly-drip&utm_content=default Need A Podcast Editor? Cathy Terkanian learned the daughter she gave up for adoption decades earlier vanished under mysterious circumstances while a teenager. Her birth mother dedicated herself to getting Aundria's adoptive parents to reveal the truth about what happened. Then, after years of persistence, an unlikely discovery broke the case wide open. From the creative team behind The Keepers and Executive Producer Charlize Theron comes the Netflix documentary series Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter. The Scariest statement that we can is "I wholly trust in you God", especially when it comes to the health and well-being of our children. Is God true, good, faithful? He said that we will have trials; so are you willing to have faith in the lord and sink your teeth into what his word says and no matter what trust him. Listen to an amazing story and testimony of a family that have seen many trials and crisis as a family and hear the power of a faithful God.

Episode 29 Kathleen O'Brien Doyle and Aundria BowmanIn 1980, Kathleen O'Brien Doyle was a young navy wife living alone in Norfolk, Virginia while her husband was stationed on an aircraft carrier. One night as she was getting ready for bed, an attacker entered her home through a window and raped, stabbed and strangled Kathleen. Her case quickly went cold. When Norfolk police and NCIS decided to employ forensic genealogy to find answers in her case, what they discovered also gave them answers to a decades-old missing persons case in Michigan. Kathleen O'Brien Doyle's murderer in Virginia and Aundria Bowman's murderer in Michigan were one and the same. And he was still around to answer for his crimes. To Support DNA: ID on Patreon, visit this link:https://www.patreon.com/DNAIDTo buy DNA ID Merch, visit this link:https://www.customizedgirl.com/s/dnaidpodcastFollow DNA: ID on Social Mediaon Twitter at- https://twitter.com/DNAIDPodcaston Facebook at- https://www.facebook.com/DNA-ID-True-Crime-Podcast-103667495017418on Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/dnaidpodcast/Podcast home page- https://www.spreaker.com/show/dna-id
In the late 1990s, the City of San Luis Obispo, California was under attack by a predator. A repeat offender who constantly received slaps on the wrists or early release for "good behavior". These lapses in the justice system would lead to death of two young women who were just starting their lives. Ok Shady Ladies we got a hot one! Jena Kingsley (Social Studies Pod) joins and drops some real-life knowledge on serial killers. Like, for real she got her master's in forensics. She tells us the one thing that most serial killers have in common and it has nothing to do with their upbringing. We also get into the case of Aundria Bowman who went missing in 1989 but her killer wasn't arrested until last year. Spoiler! What's the worst part about seeing a dead body and could you eat a sandwich around one? Produced by Dear Media.
The THRE3 of us discuss the crimes and murders committed by Dennis Lee Bowman, two of which were considered cold cases for over thre3 decades.
Cathy Terkanian: Find Aundria M BowmanREWARD $25,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the disappearance of Aundria M Bowman aka Alexis Badger.Last seen by "grandfathered in sexual offender/predator," Dennis Lee Bowman aka Denny, of Hamilton, MI.November 1988, 14 y.o. Aundria/Alexis reported Bowman had sexually molested her. A brief investigation was done, but Bowman's background wasn't looked into and Aundria/Alexis was sent back.March 11, 1989 Bowman a habitual liar, and still on parole for "criminal sexual conduct with intent to rape a teenage girl by gunpoint," reported to police Aundria had "stolen his money and run away!" For 20 years Bowman was listed as a victim missing endangered, 14 years old Aundria/Alexis'.In 1999 the dead body of a Jane Doe was found in Racine,WI. and in 2008 Carl Koppelman reported to Racine WI. detective that "RJD" might be missing/endangered Aundria M Bowman. The detective from WI. contacted the Allegan Co. Sheriff's department to report the tip. A detective from Allegan Co. set out to learn who Aundria M Bowman was in hopes of identifying, "Racine Jane Doe." In 2014 my DNA ruled out "RJD" as Aundria M Bowman aka Alexis Badger. Then the detective's primary question became "What really happened to Aundria???" The detective knew Bowman from the 80's and 90's and knew what he was capable of doing to a helpless teenage girl. He also knew Bowman a judge had said Bowman was a "threat to women if not locked up."Police changed the status Aundria/Alexis' case to an "open criminal investigation" and offered Bowman the opportunity to clear himself of causing the disappearance of his adopted teenage daughter, but he refuses. Brenda Bowman isn't cooperating either but has said, "the only thing I'm guilty of is staying married to Dennis Bowman."Aundria/Alexis was never seen in Holland, MI. in the weeks/months after she vanished. She never ran away from a youth center as per Doe Network and she never stole Dennis Bowman's money and ran away.If u have a tip and wish to remain anonymous u can at www.tipsubmit.com. In 1980, two Navy wives were murdered in Norfolk, Virginia, while their husbands were away on duty. One murder was quickly solved, but the other would grow cold and stay that way for 40 years! Until 2018, when detectives would send off some sheets for DNA testing. DNA and genealogy would combine to hunt down a monster that needed to be snagged off the streets. But detectives would soon learn, his 1980 murder, was not his only one. JIMMY GEORGE joins me on the show to discuss his filmmaking career and a special new venture. To this point, George has been known for his partnership with Baltimore-native horror director, Chris LaMartina. As producer and co-writer, George has helped bring fan favorites to life, including the WNUF Halloween Special, Call Girl of Cthulhu, Witch's Brew, President's Day and the duo's forthcoming What Happens Next Will Scare You. But he has an even scarier undertaking in his sights: running his own business. “Script Butcher,” a script doctor service, sees George bringing years of writing and producing experience to helping those trying to improve, polish and unlock the greatness of their own screenplays. He has poured his whole self into the job, providing guidance and feedback that is rabidly sought after, and for the fraction of the price of other services. I love seeing this kind of positive work supporting creative artists. Great talk! AUNDRIA also joins me in the intro to tease our upcoming coverage of Fantastic Fest 2017 for Action-A-Go-Go! AUNDRIA joins me to discuss Ivan Reitman's Ghostbusters, an earth-shaking blockbuster for any kid from the '80s. She and I are no exception, as it registers as one of our favorite films. We discuss the quotability, the FX, the music, the characters, the comedy and the scares. We also touch on the current remake's controversy, and how a "boys with toys" male fantasy can mean as much to a young girl like Aundria was when she fell in love with it. Enjoy! It's the final episode of Gobbledyween 2015, kids, so bust out your Ouija--remember, it's Wee-JUH, not Wee-JEE--boards and prepare to get possessed by 1986's Witchboard. Joining Paul and AJ is first-time guest and hardcore horror fan Aundria; all three of them are baffled by this film, its intentions, and its extensive use of magic as metaphor. Some questions to which they seek answers: Can an atheist believe in spirits? Would ghosts fail a spelling test? Are Jim and Brandon, the estranged best friends at the heart of the movie, secretly knocking sneakers? They probably put more thought into those questions than anyone involved in the making of Witchboard. Next: the Gobbledy-Book Club reconvenes to discuss Ridley Scott's film adaptation of The Martian. Returning to the show are So Let's Get to the Point's Kenn Edwards, Wanna Cook? co-author Ensley F. Guffey, and the all-around amazing Hallie Prime.
The guest host with the most, Nowheresville and A/V writer-director Joseph Lewis, joins Paul and AJ to continue Gobbledyween 2015 with a discussion of Tim Burton's 1988 classic Beetlejuice. The three heathens agree that the movie is great--it's wacky, it's funny, it's morbid--but when they stop and think about it, they have some questions. As brilliant as Michael Keaton is, would the film work better without its titular character? Is it two different movies squished together? What the hell happened to Burton? Of course, there's also a little "Day-O," a little Lydia, and a little bafflement over the fact that a Beetlejuice 2 is in development. Next: Gobbledyween comes to a close as friend of the show Aundria summons up Witchboard.
Hank Davis and Alex Cruz give you their take on the Falling Skies episode titled: Prisoner of War. Stupid Mike move of the week, that's one great bread recipe, Dai almost dies, email from Aundria, a rant from James and much more on the Falling Skies Podcast.
