The Breastfeeding Show is made by Frances Attenborough, Karen Hall and Megan Stephenson, who are all NCT-trained Breastfeeding Counsellors, with at least ten years’ each of experience helping parents both through antenatal sessions, and group and 1:1 postnatal support. This show is for anyone with an interest in feeding babies, whether they’re exclusively breastfeeding, chestfeeding, mixed feeding, expressing, still waiting for their baby to arrive, or thinking about stopping. In our first series, we cover the basics of how to get started, establishing a milk supply, positioning and attachment, expressing, common challenges, and we bust a few myths. We hope our informal style keeps things interesting and useful, as we chat about our absolute favourite subject.

Megan and Frances interview Karen about her new book, Why Mixed Feeding Matters, published by Pinter & Martin in September 2023. The book is packed with useful information for different approaches to feeding your baby, including breastfeeding, expressing and using formula - and crucially covers how to manage using more than one method of feeding. With a guest chapter on mixed feeding twins and multiples by Janet Rimmer, and a chapter on mixed feeding premature or sick babies, it's a comprehensive guide for parents and health professionals.
