I peggiori libri della nostra vita. “Tutti abbiamo in casa un libro brutto. Perché i libri brutti ci dicono chi siamo”: questa è la premessa del nuovo spettacolo di Auroro Borealo che dalla seguitissima pagina Libri Brutti (oltre 100.000 follower) ha creato un podcast di successo e un libro. Ma è nello show dal vivo che questi libri brutti diventano cult: oltre all'incredibile collezione di Auroro, il pubblico potrà infatti portare i propri libri brutti da casa, contribuendo alla composizione di un improbabile archivio collettivo e ricevendo in cambio un piccolo omaggio.È dedicata al cantautorato la serata con Massimo Silverio, che sabato 13 dicembre porta a Bra il Surtùm Tour, dal titolo del suo secondo album, pubblicato a inizio ottobre. Silverio Tucci is an Italian punk rock musician and Socialist. I discovered his band, Lumpen, via Attila the Stockbroker and became an instant fan. I learned that his family members were partisans. For anyone not in the know, that means they were the people who literally fought the nazis in their communities in Italy during WWII. They're not mentioned much in history, but they were there, and when it was a fair fight, they usually won. I consider their story proof that at the end of the day love, community, and compassion triumphs over hate, fear, and bigotry. A reminder I think we could all use right about now. There are some barriers in this episode which is why it's a bit shorter. I'm limited in my Italian and Silverio is limited in his English, and we also had some connectivity issues. But we both navigate the waters and find common ground between our mutual love for music, family, art and solidarity. Also, this episode ends with a reflection on the current state of affairs.

Through the years, there have been various incidents or initiatives from well-known or infamous politicians that broke or paved the way for their careers in public service.On April 23, 2012, a supposedly peaceful dismantling of a wet market quickly escalated into violence, resulting in one death and 40 injured people after the informal settlers of the Silverio Compound, fearing that they would lose their homes, confronted the police along Sucat Road in Parañaque City.The sole casualty was Arnel Leonor, a 19-year-old resident of the said residential compound, lying on the pavement with a fatal gunshot wound in the head. The police brought him to the nearest medical facility, but he was declared dead on arrival. Good afternoon, I'm _____ with today's episode of EZ News. Tai-Ex opening The Tai-Ex opened up 130-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 23,009 on turnover of 4.4-billion N-T. The market lost almost 180-points as investors rushed to lock-in gains in the bellwether electronics sector. Hon Hai led the downturn in the electronics sector, falling by 2.85-per cent, as its share price failed to return to its prior ex-dividend level. While Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing also moved lower, as it saw profit taking following recent solid gains on the back of investor interest in artificial intelligence development-related stocks. Domestic Carbon Credit Sales to Begin on TCX in September or October The Ministry of Environment says it expects sales of domestic carbon credits on the Taiwan Carbon Solution Exchange to begin by late September or early October. The statement comes after the exchange listed its first green carbon project earlier this week. That project was a reforestation initiative in eastern Paraguay and carbon credits for the project are now available for purchase. The government has also now publicly released the regulations on the trade and transfer of domestic carbon credits from voluntary (自主性) emission reduction projects - which are set to be introduced on August 15. Weekly New COVID-19 Cases Hit Year's Highest Level The Centers for Disease says a total of 932 new COVID-19 cases with complications (併發症) were reported last week - and that's the highest weekly level for this year. According to the C-D-C, the number of confirmed local cases reported between June 25 and July 1 was up 14-per cent from the previous week. Data shows there were approximately 100,000 COVID-19-related visits to emergency and outpatient departments made last week. The C-D-C says the pandemic will continue to rise and weekly visits to emergency rooms for COVID-19-related illnesses are expected peak in mid-July at 120,000 before subsequently declining slowly. Okinawa Protests Cases of Alleged Sexual Assault by US Personnel Locals in Japan's Okinawa region are protesting two cases of alleged sexual assault (性侵害) by US military personnel. The Pentagon says it's closely tracking the cases which have fueled local anger. Chris Gilbert reports from Tokyo. Chile White Rhino Birth at Zoo A 13-year-old Southern white rhinoceros has delivered a newborn calf in a rare zoo birth for the almost endangered species. The arrival of the male calf, named Silverio, just over a week ago was the third time that a white rhino had ever been born in South America. The zoo in Chile's capital of Santiago presented Silverio to the public on Tuesday as he took his first steps after 12 days of medical care in confinement (限、禁閉). The zoo hailed his birth as a “big achievement” for efforts to conserve the threatened species. Southern white rhinos, have been classified as “nearly endangered”, and there are just over 10-thousand individuals left in the world, the vast majority of them in zoos. Michael A sits down with singer/songwriter/cringe video creator Fernando Silverio Solis, and they have a long and wide ranging conversation covering performing music in Flint, vegan coneys, vomiting frontmen, excessive volume, bad CGI, and most importantly, connection via art. Con un grupo de grabaciones históricas recordamos hoy algo de la vida y obra del ingenioso guitarrista y compositor santiaguero Antonio Fernández, desde siempre conocido en el ambiente musical de su tiempo como Ñico Saquito. Su inventiva y facilidad para captar las situaciones más diversas y llevarlas a la guaracha, fueron inmejorable carta de presentación para insertarse en el ambiente trovadoresco habanero de los años 30s cuando Ñico, como muchos de sus contemporáneos, llegó a la capital de la república en busca de mejor fortuna. La era de la radio independiente transitaba su etapa romántica y aunque los 20 centavos que ganaban por audición apenas alcanzaban para tomarse un café con leche y pagar el pasaje en tranvía, muchos trovadores encontraron en sus programaciones la manera de dar a conocer su arte. Integrando diversas formaciones como el Cuarteto Castillo, Los Guaracheros de Oriente, Los Cumbancheros, y su Conjunto Oriental, Ñico Saquito desde esas fechas hasta bien entrados los años 50, conquistó el aplauso y las simpatías del público. "María Cristina", "Camina como Chencha ", "Compay gallo", "El muñequito", "Sagüita al bate", "Tócale la campana", "Silverio, Facundo y la Luna", "Estoy hecho tierra", "Adiós compay gato", "Menéame la cuna", son sólo algunos de los títulos con los que se ganó un sitio importante en el panteón de los grandes de la música popular cubana. Ñico Saquito murió en Santiago de Cuba el 4 de agosto de 1982. Había nacido en esa ciudad oriental el 13 de febrero de 1901. La señal antológica de la radio independiente cubana nos permite recordar la era dorada de las presentaciones en directo. Entre los años 1954 y 1955 el merengue dominicano que trajeron los cantantes Alberto Beltrán y Juan Polanco, pegó muchísimo en el gusto de los bailadores cubanos. Beltrán, el primero en triunfar en La Habana con el conjunto Sonora Matancera, poco después comenzó a trabajar con el Conjunto Casino. Juan Polanco con el Conjunto Casino se presentó con mucho éxito en el estudio teatro de "La onda de la alegría", Radio Progreso. Entre las grandes voces líricas de Cuba recordamos a Esther Borja. En 1935 debutó en las tablas del teatro Auditorium, hoy Amadeo Roldán, interpretando piezas de Lecuona como parte del elenco de "Lola Cruz", opereta con libreto del poeta y periodista Gustavo Sánchez Galarraga. Desde entonces fue éxito en su voz el clásico vals "Damisela encantadora", tema que marcó el inicio de 60 años de presencia continuada en salas teatrales, cabarets, radio y televisión. El clásico cha cha chá "Los marcianos", original del compositor Rosendo Ruiz Quevedo, acompaña los minutos finales del programa. Muy a propósito recordamos el triunfo y la supervivencia del pegajoso ritmo que ya, a comienzos de los 50, transpiraba el ambiente musical. La "pegada" que tuvo "La engañadora", tema compuesto por el violinista Enrique Jorrin cuando integraba la Orquesta América de Ninón Mondéjar, permitió al cha cha chá invadir los atriles de todas las orquestas cubanas. Para sorpresa de los habaneros el día de los inocentes de 1954 un platillo volador amaneció posado en la Ciudad Deportiva de la Avenida Rancho Boyeros. La inventiva del incansable productor Gaspar Pumarejo, patrocinado por la cerveza Cristal y desde su canal 4, sumaba el misterioso aterrizaje a su extensa lista de efectivas fórmulas comerciales en función del entretenimiento. La vedette Rosa Fornés, quien por entonces protagonizaba junto a su esposo el actor y cantante Armando Bianchi el show televisivo "Mi esposo favorito", versión criolla de la serie norteamericana "I love Lucy", sorprendió a la agitada concurrencia al descender del supuesto artefacto extraterrestre. En la despedida el ayer y hoy del cha cha chá: Carlos Díaz con la jazz band Hermanos Castro, la orquesta de Juanito Márquez de 1960, y Juan Carlos Marín: el trombón de Santa Amalia.

On August 24, 2020, during the midst of the COVID pandemic outbreak in New York City, Tracy Harris began having severe abdominal pain that prompted her to call 9-1-1 for help. Just prior to EMS arrival, she realized that she was in full active labor (23 weeks pregnant at the time) and her pre-term baby girl had just unexpectedly delivered while she laid on the floor. In this episode, Station 20's first-arriving EMTs Silverio Moreno and Johnathan Rivera—who had never worked together before—recall how they upgraded the call from OB-OUT to a cardiac arrest as they discovered the newborn baby was not breathing and had no pulse, and the events that followed. Mother and daughter were taken to Jacobi Hospital Medical Center, and eventually both made a complete recovery. In 2023, the patients and their rescuers were reunited at the FDNY's Second Chance Ceremony; a precious full-circle moment for all. Captain Randy Li hosts.
