Sadly, those hopes were crushed in heartbreaking fashion, a 57-56 loss to the San Diego State Aztecs. UConn MBB is Final Four bound for the first time since 2014 and did so in dominant fashion against Gonzaga. Friday was eventful for the Big East as Villanova WBB ALMOST pulled off a comeback for the ages before falling short in what seemed to be Maddy Siegrist's final college game while Creighton MBB beat Princeton to advance to their first Elite Eight in program history (1941 doesn't count.) I'll recap that, as well as Xavier's loss to Texas, and preview today's games as both UConn teams are in action with the women facing Ohio State in the Sweet 16 in Seattle and the men facing Gonzaga in Vegas for the right to go to the Final Four!
UConn continued its dominance in this NCAA Tournament last night with a wire-to-wire evisceration of Arkansas.
