We are back! After a bit of a break, your favorite college football podcast has returned! Some new voices have joined the show with the departures of Dan Wetzel and Pat Forde. Andy Staples and Steven Godfrey join Ross Dellenger for College Football Enquirer's newest version! There was quite a bit of news that happened while we were away, so it's time to catch up. Schools can pay athletes directly now. Revenue sharing has arrived! This has already caused an immediate shift in the college football landscape and schools are taking full advantage. One team who is capitalizing on that is Vanderbilt. Huge hype and ticket prices have followed. How has this change affected the college landscape? Has it changed for the better? These questions and more are what Andy, Ross and Steven answer. As athletes continue to get paid, guardrails around how they can be paid continue to be developed. Enter the College Sports Commission. This commission is supposed to make sure there is fairness across the board in how athletes are being paid. How exactly they are doing that is a bit more complicated. Luckily, Ross can break it all down.Another huge change on the horizon has to do with the transfer portal. This topic has been discussed at length. Should there only be one portal window rather than two? When should that be? Change is coming and while there is some disagreement among conferences for when the portal window should open, a shift appears imminent. The guys explain what the change may look like, and they give their takes on when the portal should open.We are just a few weeks away from the start of the season, so naturally we have to talk about what coaches are hoping to still have a job by the end of the season. While some coaches' buyouts are too big for them to have any concern this year, others do not have that luxury. Texas Tech's Joey McGuire and Oklahoma's Brent Venables are two coaches that look to be in win now situations. The guys discuss the coaches' futures with their respective programs. They also dive into how the new college landscape of paying players may have led to some coaches' jobs being saved. Finally, Andy, Ross and Steven take a look at some upset ready matchups in the Week 1 slate. Are Boise St., Mississippi St. and Kentucky on upset watch? The guys chat about what they are looking at in those Week 1 games.A jam-packed episode of College Football Enquirer begins now. Consistency is the key to success in any sport and without a doubt Duke has been pretty darned consistent in hoops. The same hasn't been the case in football which has seemed like an after thought in years past. Times change and the need to be successful on the field as well as the court go hand in hand. Mike Elko helped move the program out of the 'it's just good enough' phase and now Manny Diaz is upping the game. Special guest, Conor O'Neill the publisher of Devils Illustrated joins ACC Nation to provide a preview of the upcoming season. O'Neill points out that Diaz is moving the offense from a limited delivery system into one that will keep defenses on their toes. Find out why Tulane QB transfer Darian Mensah along with select players from the portal will begin moving Duke into the upper tier of the conference. Duke Depth and experience are key factors on the defensive side of the ball as well. It takes time recruiting and dipping into the Transfer Portal to bring a solid product together. Last year's record of 9-4 may be more of a challenge to match as most of the ACC is also building programs of note but it will be clear to fans and definitely opponents that the Blue Devils have chosen not to snooze. Listen, like and subscribe to ACC Nation podcast, streaming radio and YouTube for more conference content.

The impact of NIL and the Transfer Portal requires a crystal ball to project how Miami will perform this season. Fortunately, the next best thing joins ACC Nation for our Canes football preview. Manny Navarro of The Athletic and Host of 'Wide Right' podcast provides a straight up and straight forward look at this year's squad. The team isn't shying away from taking big steps as they open against Notre Dame on Sunday, August 31. The game will be prime-time on ABC at 7:30pm ET. How they perform and the outcome could have more impact on both Miami and the ACC than one might imagine. Navarro runs through the schedule giving his thumbs up, thumbs down view of the wins and losses. Miami Carson Beck appears ready and willing to roll as quarterback for Miami this season after having UCL (elbow) surgery earlier. Who will be his back-up? There's plenty of depth in the room but limited experience taking game snaps. Head Coach Mario Cristobal has loaded and re-loaded (in some cases) a team that has lost some key personnel. The offense looks solid even with the departure of players like Xavier Restrepo and Jacolby George. How about the running game? Who fills the shoes of Damien Martinez? The defense will need to step up this season to help buffer some of the losses on offense and Navarro runs down the players returning and transferring in that can make that happen. Be sure to like and subscribe to ACC Nation podcast, listen on streaming radio or watch us on YouTube.
