Why don't we go to God in our sin? Or our kids come to us in their sin? Notice, it's believing better, not behaving better because the truth is our sin struggle is ongoing. Knowing this as parents should change our narrative and response to our kids in their sin.

We often see sin only as outward bad behavior. But in the parable of the Prodigal, Jesus was the addressing the Pharisees- the ones who outwardly had it altogether but were inwardly full of pride and self-righteousness. In this conversation we talk about why this type of sin is so destructive and how helping our kids understand the two categories for sin brings them to a place of knowing deeper their need of a Savior.
