Jorge Ormaza, Law vs Grace by Terrill Road Bible Chapel
In this episode series we examine the role of the law vs. grace in God's economy of salvation based upon the totality and sufficiency of scripture. In summary we answer the question of whether salvation, restored fellowship with God and heaven, is via works, or by grace alone, by faith alone, by Christ alone.
What do you believe? Do you think your issues are foundational? What does grace mean to you? Grace was brought in by the Lord Jesus in fulfilment of the law.
Join Pastor Chris as he looks at what the Bible says about under the law vs under grace and what are Christians roles with the Mosaic and New Covenant?

A devotional study about how we need to trust that God is as He says that He is -- all powerful, all knowing, all loving -- even when we see things all around us that try to suggest that He is not making the best choices for us or for the people around us. Do we trust Him or not? Why does He not control everything since He has all the power and knowledge of what will be? The Apostle Paul answers 2 questions in Romans 6: Shall I go on sinning that grace may increase ? (Romans 6:1) and Shall I go on sinning now that I am no longer under the law? (Romans 6:14) These are common questions that will always come up when someone does not understand the purpose of the law....which is "to make us conscious of sin" (Romans 3:20) and "to lead us to Christ" (Galatians 3:24 1984 NIV). The purpose of the law is being distorted today by many. As 2 Peter 3:16 says "His (Paul) letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

In our final week of Questions Worth Asking, we provide guidance to a theme to many online questions that have been submitted.
Some doctrine's promote a works-centric gospel message, while others promote a liberal grace with no regard for works. In our last podcast we began to bring some clarity and understanding to the works/grace tension. In today's podcast, we dive deeper on the topic. As always, our goal is to give you Biblical truth to help you live a full life of freedom in Christ! Connect with us at www.restoringthefoundations.org
Wow! Can you believe we made it 40 episodes? I'm blown away at the support these past years. In this 40th episode we continue tackling our hardest topic, of the law by finishing up the conversation from a few weeks ago. In this episode, we learn that the law and Spirit are in opposition and therefor cannot stand together. We are children of the promise who is Christ Jesus and are free from the constraints of the law.
Are we saved by our works? Are we saved by grace? The word of God is clear: "8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." - Ephesians 2:8-10 NASB 1995 There are some friction points in understanding works/grace. Today's podcast is part 1 of a 2 part series where we try to bring some clarity and understanding. Connect with us at www.restoringthefoundations.org

Raise your hand if you've heard this "Law VS Grace" thing before: God gave the Law to show us the difference between right and wrong. If anyone was able to perfectly obey it, they would never die or be punished by God. The bad news is that none of us can even come close to keeping the Law, and that means we're all going to Hell. But the good news is that Jesus DID perfectly keep every part of the Law. And because He was perfect and we aren't, He died for us so we don't have to. Now, we don't have to keep the Law anymore because we couldn't really do it in the first place. And that's called "grace." The problem with all of this is that Jesus said the exact opposite, and I'll prove it to you in less than 10 minutes. Looking for a resource to go DEEPER into the Jewish context of Scripture? Western Christianity has framed the Christian faith into a mere confession statement of faith in Jesus Christ, rather than a covenant. With so many denominational sects creating their own admixture, combing fragments of the Old Testament with the New, they have unknowingly become a transgressor of both Covenants; thus creating their own hybrid religious systems, and abiding in neither the Old nor the New Covenants. By mixing Old Testament Law with New Testament Grace, many have failed to realize that their amalgamated faith will be in vain because once the Old has been fulfilled, the Old is null and void. Through this series, you will discover how Christ fulfilled the Fractional-Reserve System of the Law to prepare for the New Covenant as Christ fulfilled the 10 Commandments, the Sabbath, Circumcision, Tithing, the Leviticus-Priesthood, the Temple, the Feast days, and many more.http://www.ao-ministries.orgSupport the show (https://cash.app/$FoundationStation)
