Zach and Brian recap episodes of Smallville with the help of the Smallville Wiki. New episodes Fridays!
We're setting up the pieces for the end of Season Seven and... man, it's not very good!
All aboard the ret-con train: WOO-WOOOOOO!
Sam Jones III returns to Smallville as Pete for one last ride... where he finds some kryptonite gum at a OneRepublic concert at the Stride Gum factory. And it all goes downhill from there.
We catch up with Kara in Detroit. Clark takes a journey into the mind of Lex. Brian and Zach talk about Batman again.
A little charisma goes a long way in Season 7.
You guys remember the band Interpol? They have a song in this episode. Isn't great!
Lois is in a "Phonebooth" knock-off, kind of. Tom Welling is acting stilted... as a choice? The bad guy's plan don't make no sense.
Clark makes some season one mistakes when it comes to colored rocks from Krypton. Lana the juice goblin does her best to suck up what little juice there is. The writers have completely given up on making Kara's whole deal make any sense.
Lana is a little goblin who stomps into a scene and sucks up all the juice.
...Because seriously if Lara could just go through a portal and be at the Kent farm before Krypton inevitably blew up why wouldn't she just do that? Not to be like that guy about it, but I'm really so in the weeds on this.
A Warrior Angel movie is filming in Smallville and Clark is a dumbass in this very watchable episode.
Dean Cain guests stars as a doctor/serial killer in another... not that bad episode of season seven.
Tom Welling got a DUI this week and some people on Twitter learned that he isn't 25 anymore. Also this episode of Smallville wasn't bad considering it was pretty bad.
Brian and Zach perform an autopsy on why season seven feels so especially limp.
Season 7 comes in with more of a whimper than a bang, with a season premiere that doesn't seem too eager to bring us any new or exciting story threads... but we're still having a good time!
We wrap up Season 6 with the half-assed season awards ceremony that it deserves. Also the trailer for James Gunn's Superman movie has dropped... we watch it and give our first impressions!
The boys leave season six in the dust.
Some audio issues recording this one! Sorry! Brian & Zach wade through an episode that's mostly exposition, and get hype over the performance of a sleazy senator day-player.
Jimmy gets knocked in the head and has a dream that Smallville is a noir movie. Brian and Zach wish they could take a nap instead.
It's Halloween, which means Brian & Zach watch a horror movie starring a Smallville cast member! It's been awhile since Jensen Ackles has been on the show... but we're gonna watch him try to not get killed by a miner with a pickaxe! Also they try to divine the future with the help of ghost hunting equipment.
Sorry for the inconsistent uploads lately! It's been a busy couple of weeks, and it might be a little sporadic for a little while longer-- but we're still here and still at it! Clark and Lex are stuck underground, and it turns out this TV show works way better when two of the main characters have stories together.
Chloe's Mom makes an appearance, and she happens to be Wonder Woman.
The boys talk about a "meh" episode but also WWE's KANE!!!!
Can Clark stop Lana from getting married to Lex? Of course not, do you know how crazy that would be? On the literal wedding day? Grow up, Clark.
Michael Rosenbaum directed this episode. It's not every good!
If a dayplayer gets a name, they're either going to die or be the bad guy.
We try to do the "Brian Is On Red K" bit but give up on it pretty fast.
Taking a breather from Smallville this week, Brian and Zach talk about Deadpool & Wolverine and everything else they've been watching this Summer.
We thought about maybe making this some kind of "big" episode-- But Smallville didn't, so why should we?
Tori Spelling has Alex Mack powers, and Clark helps Oliver pull off some professional level gaslighting.
It's hard to define a stinker, but we know it when we see it.
It's not a very good episode, but Dave Bautista is a B-story monster of the week... So Brian gets tipsy and talks a lot (a lot) about wrestling.
The boys are thankful for another pretty okay episode, even if they don't think science should throw the baby out with the bathwater on a pretty revolutionary healing serum because of a couple of kinks.
The boys watch Bow Wow get possessed by a Phantom Zone escapee and also talk about minor league baseball.
The boys' jaws hit the floor when Lois has the biggest "yikes" of the entire series. Also the episode is pretty good.
The boys are hesitant to trust Lana with another macguffin storyline, but otherwise are excited to get two pretty good episodes in a row.
The boys are relieved to get an episode of Smallville that shuts up and plays the hits: a freak of the week, a costume ball, smooching, and a sad Clark!
The boys think that they're in for a banger when Clark gains a new superpower... But season six has different plans.
The boys are back in the Smallville game... and while they don't remember much from the Season 5 finale, the Season 6 premiere is thankfully mostly a recap.
With the Batman marathon behind them, Brian and Zach bestow awards to nominees in categories like "Best Generic Mobster Guy" and "Best Forgettable Love Interest."
Zach and Brian reach their end of their Batman journey with one they really like!
We watched six hours of Justice League for this.
Is The LEGO Batman Movie secretly one of the best Batman movies in the entire franchise? ...We don't know if we'd go that far, but it's still a pretty great one!
we watch the bad one
Brian, Zach, and Patrick continue their discussion of The Dark Knight Rises! Also, we're on YouTube, if you're into that kind of thing: https://rb.gy/0ahf3p
Pat returns to the show to talk about a movie... he actually likes for once! The Dark Knight Rises might be the biggest and the dumbest of the bunch, but it's also some of the most fun in the franchise. This one was so big, we split it up into two episodes!
Brian & Zach forgo their traditional wiki summary... and end up with what is possibly the rambliest recap of Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" on the internet. You either read a recap like a hero, or you ramble long enough to see yourself become very sleepy.
Jesse Eisemann (Cracked) returns to talk about the Batman reboot that introduced the idea of rebooting a franchise to Hollywood. We're talking Batman Begins, which is only the.......... beginning...... to a really great stretch of movies.
Willie Muse joins Brian & Zach to make the case that Batman & Robin has been a perfect movie this entire time.
Emily joins Brian & Zach to discuss what must be the horniest Jim Carrey vehicle to ever star Batman... Batman Forever!
