Astrophysicist and planetary scientist Sara Seager joins Host Ira Flatow to explain why she thinks life on Venus might be possible, high up in the clouds. Seager has conducted lab experiments that indicate various biomolecules could survive there, despite the toxic conditions. She's leading a series of proposed private missions to the planet, to study the atmosphere, conduct habitability studies, and even bring back a sample of Venusian cloud material. Terrified Together with Scaroline | Paranormal Podcast We teamed up with Scaroline for this Terrified Together — she streams from the Underworld, keeps a collection of genuinely haunted dolls including one named Coco that she communicates with through a custom doll phone, and she fit in immediately. So naturally, we got into three listener submissions ranging from a 12-year-old and his dad spotting a flying saucer outside Boston to a seven-year-old in Arizona who woke up sick in her parents' bed and locked eyes with a smirking, reptilian, dinosaur-like demon holding a severed head at the top of the stairs. We also covered Q's two-part story: first as a kid in Pennsylvania where he and his brothers heard something stomping up from the basement in a power-outage blizzard, jiggling the handle, and crashing back down the stairs, and then years later in San Antonio where a recurring nightmare kept pulling him deeper each time he fell back asleep until he came face to face with something that said help in a way that felt anything but innocent.
